The free update is insane and huge AND the DLC is insane and huge. No wonder it took so long. This is going to extend the game's longevity BIG TIME.
Especially with the new DLC I’ll actually have motivation to work lol. I don’t know how they expected everyone to farm for miles and villagers forever.
Totally agree! I was getting bored playing because there was not much to do anymore. Now with this new update its going to be much more entertaining and fun to play.
Not to mention it is the last free update for the game, that’s probably why its such a crazy update

Brewster is here again to bring quiet and relaxing times to an already relaxing game. Also Kapp’n coming back is awesome. I own New Leaf and when I played it back then, it was fun as well.

It’s like a mashup of every Animal Crossing game ever and I’m loving it! And the price of the DLC is reasonable if you compare it to its 3 ds counterpart “Happy Home Designer” being $40.00 USD
Also taking into account it has more design specific features (like adjusting time of day, lightning, creating paths, adding fences where you like, partitions, columns, counters)... as well as impact in your actual island.
I’m honestly surprised by how reasonable the price is. $25 for this much content is a steal.
It almost feels like there is gonna be a catch to the pricing
They added some insane updates, plus a ton of quality of life updates.
I love how every reaction video I watched so far had everyone so excited that they totally missed the first sign of the new villagers before the DLC announcement. The community is so happy it’s amazing.
I love how everyone was like " a animal crossing direct is there much they can talk about?". Now Nintendo is there " here is everything you wanted plus more you never knew you needed". The start of paid dlc I don't think this will be the only paid dlc the game will get but who knows. It's a little pricey but worth it.
Pricey? Thay is low compared to how much I would of paid. So much content packed in the dlc. It's almost a whole game.

For anyone still watching the videos as we wait for the update. Here are following items from the first half that I haven't seen anyone mention:
1. There are 3 jars of jam on the 1space size table.
2. The drink w/straw can be brought at Nooks Cranny.
3. Shelves can now hold stuff.
4. There is a sushi tray at Nooks Cranny.
5. They show a scrapbook on the table.
6. Basket of breads, which means we'll likely have food items that are decor while ones that can be decor and edible.
I am SO thrilled I got to watch this live with you this morning and now re-watching it was almost just as fun because I got to catch the bits I missed, but also enjoy your incredible reactions and facial expressions (as always) hahaha. I started playing animal crossing for the first time about a month ago. I haven't even started going in-depth into terraforming yet. This is going to be insane. ALSO I have a park on my island so I am very excited for that park fencing update

I am beyond excited. Already went on my island that I haven't visited in months to clear out some room for a farm. I just hope nook shop can be upgraded. That way it houses more new items to buy.

the thing that's most thrilling is that they COULD'VE sold happy home paradise as a standalone game for $60, but chose to make it as a $25 dlc. im thrilled to bits. ofc there's probably gonna be more minor updates down the line, but oh. my god. this is literally so good. thrilled to BITS
