Second week on animal crossing; love your videos! I fished with you and was able to catch oar fish, golden trout, barrel eye, crawfish and coelacanth with no bait! It just took me two hours lol. Thanks for bringing me good luck :)

Fished along with you while watching this video and caught a giant travelly about 10 mins in and had caught the rest already! Who knew catching a barrel eye was so difficult
I had no idea how to catch a fish in the beginning-

Dunno how you got so unlucky, I found the giant trevally and mahi-mahi fairly quickly. I feel it though, the barreleye took me forever.

On day 6 I got my first oarfish, blue marlin, and tuna with only 10 bait.
I caught 3 oar fish on accident, colicanth on accident, tuna on first bait
Nice, on day 10 I caught an oarfish on accident too.
It took 60 bait to get tuna but 10 to get two blue marlins

It’s actually because you were playing on TV… If the joy cons were attached to the actual switch Consol, there is not a big lag between when you press A and the fish being caught. It’s about three times longer when you play through TV (the lag that is).

The first ever time I went pier fishing, with 6 bait, the first food got me a giant trevally, the next bait gave a blue marlin.

I got a Mahi Mahi the other day on a big fish island. I just scared fish away until a on would appear by the dock.
I put this on while hunting for a barreleye to make sure I wasn't doing something wrong. It took me HOURS and I fished up over 350 fish before I finally caught one!! Almost as bad as villager hunting!!
I caught a coalecanthe and a barrel eye on the same day, and the barrel eye took 4 tries

I’ve only played for 5 days now, but I have caught 15 great white sharks, and I caught a barrel eye too. I sold the barrel eye without thinking, though, so it is not in my museum.
If you close your eyes while you fish then it makes it easier in my opinion. Just listen to the sound

The Barreleye is the second smallest fish it’s pretty close to the size of a Horse Mackerel.
Barrelleye are in the sea, and not pier specific. According to the critterpedia on the one I caught...
I cought both of these (Coelacanth and Barreleye) totally by chance over the month of April (I mostly only catch monster fish so the Barreleye was incredibly lucky). Love fishing in this game xD have yet to catch really anything in May... just not had time lately (just did my maze today)

AbdallahSmash206, have you played Bloody Roar 2 before? It's difficult to play but, it's fun once you train with Long (Regular Long) or Shina. The hardest characters are Bakuryu, Jenny, and Busuzima.

You keep on leaving it 1/2 second late to catch the fishes. If there is a time lag during streaming then switch to the HDMI channel that is connected to the Switch is better as I do that all the time when streaming

if this helps, its a fish that you can get throughout the year, found in pond, around 9AM - 4PM spawn time
