Great job, Jimmy! You even recycled a temperature sensor, which is good practice (less junk). Amazing that the dealership couldn't find a chewed wire, but then again, that does not show in the scantool - you have to look under the vehicle (which is even easier for them).
Great video and a great fix. ALL main dealers want vehicles for 3-5 hours because; if they aren't making a £1000 plus out of a customer they don't want to fix a vehicle. Dealers a a rip off and a scam.
You can see the temperatures on these Rangers if you search the vehicle as opposed to VIN scan usually. Loose some special functions in VIN scan sometimes as well for some reason.
Nice video. There's something in those dpf sensor wiring harnesses that rodents like. I had a guy who had wires chewed through a few times so i sprayed the looms with a rodent deterrent and no problems since.
My local stealership charge £120 for initial diagnostic 😮 . After ringing around a local guy said he would take a look..... No charge, to tell me what codes showed up. i left doughnuts for lads 👍
its disgusting a main steeler clearly didnt even look at the car properly bloody hell its not rocket science first thing you do is a look over it , i would be going back to them with the video of jimmy's work , and demand a refund for there incompetence
You have to complety gut the dpf and get a professional welding shop to weld it back up.after spending nearly a thousand pound on a stupid vaporiser and to have diagnosis and labour charges.my mk4 mondeo went in for it's birthday party delete the egr aswell whilst you there euro 6 trash just seems a nightmare.
My best friends mum went to them with a sinking brake pedal and the dickheads put discs and pads on it charged her a arm and a leg and gave it back with a sinking pedal WTAF how can they charge larbor for a job that didn't need doing and give the women back a dangerous car, i would have gone ape shit if i had known at the time
Ford had this and could not find the problems, absolutely shocking.
Well done jimmy.

Great diagnosis mate. Finding evidence and repairing the fault 👌👌👌

Another Job well done... Going through the whole process thoroughly and sorting out the problem..No shortcuts taken 👍👍👍
Thanks
If it fixes the problem, it isn't a bodge! Great job.
Very true!
Thanks for posting Jimmy, very interesting to watch.

Top quality bodge 👍 Especially to get the owner back on the road 💯

Another great video Jimmy 👏
Another great video!!!
Thanks again!
Great Stuff Jimmy!! All I can say is, Ford didn't look very hard then (couldn't see past the end of the invoice) Obviously. "Thanks" 👌
Great video
Wtf the dealer didn't look at under body Unbelievable!!
Well done Jimmy. Your customer must have been really pissed off.
0:32 your rear nearside needs some air 🫡

Lesson, never use main dealer unless under warranty
So where did you spray the cleaning fluid as you can't do it from the top on this one. Was it upwards through the vapourizer hole.
Glow plugs always go bad on these rangers all the time. But it doesn't bring CEL or any other warnings.
Hi jimmy where abouts are you thanks

These Ford Rangers certainly like corrosion underneath
Would remapping dpf out be any good. Was thinking about it.

The fact that Ford could not see the damaged wires is so disappointing. What's the matter with these people?
brilliant job jimmy ford main dealers what a joke...
Ford techs are the worst! Had a similar situation myself with Ford Kuga recently.

I bet the problem was the vapouriser
@@chucky2316 no nothing to do with the dpf actually was a battery going bad and not supplying enough voltage for the sensors to read correctly.
Your are the man, Jimmy. 👍
What half ŵìts do the main dealers employ.
