991 GT3RS - only because I have one and it's a keeper - just gotta learn how to drive it to it's max potential - don't need a 992 - BTW, mega commentary - its hard not to repeat all that has been said about the previous generations in describing the 992

My 991.2 gt3, best 911 I’ve ever owned. I use for mixture of road and track, the 992 sounds a bit more track focused great engineering though

If this GT3 is already this insane looking, I can't imagine how the GT3RS will be...

This is probably the best video on the 992 GT3 all day. Very insightful with all the nuances that we usually get from a Chris Harris video. Excellent work.

As a previous comment said, the best review, excepting perhaps Messrs Catchpole and Harris who both did commendable reviews.

James, I think this might be the best video you've ever done so far on youtube. The way you described the car's dynamic capability really looks like you've been working in this industry for decades! I'm a bit ashamed to be only one year younger than you (I'm born in 1995), and see how people like you have resulted in the roles of their respected industry. Well done because admittedly as a guy who has the same first name as you, I am very jealous.

Excellent review! In fact, best GT3 review out there. With regards to Nurburgring times I must admit I find such automotive “bragging rights” to be utterly meaningless to the “real” world of driving. Even if a sub-population of GT3 drivers go to the track often the overall cumulative miles for all GT3’s on the track is a very small percentage; therefore, the enjoyment on the roads is still the key metric for sports cars like these. The Nurburgring time was generated on very special tires, with aero at maximum attack, and by an extremely talented professional racecar driver who was intimately experienced with that exact car, that exact setup, on that exact track before logging the official time attempt.
On the road with normal, but experienced, drivers I would be willing to wager there is exactly zero difference in driving pleasure and competence between the 991.2 GT3 and the 992 GT3...exactly zero.

With the interior fully gutted so that its horrible and impractical to live with on public roads unlike this GT3? $6k because the Civic has torsional rigidity of a potato chip, sound like crap from its torqueless engine from a lawnmower and has aerodynamics of a bus in comparison.
