Well, 69 years old and always enjoyed cooking but could never get a handle on Asian cuisine much as I loved eating it.
You're recipes and pointers have changed that out of sight and I can now throw dishes together just by Mark one tasteball and a quick rummage in the pantry.
How do I know it is working? When the wife says....yummy,another Marion recipe?......Love being able to smile and say yes when it is something I just cobbled together using your advice and tips....thank you, thank you thank you.

Prawns in fridge, eggs collected from the chooks. I have red capsicums. No pea pods in the garden yet...only have first few flowers on plants, but frozen peas. Bihon noodles in cupboard. Curry spices in cabinet. 🤩🥳

Yup, this version is available in every Asian restaurant in US but not in Singapore. For some reason, I feel like a fraud for perpetuating this BIG LIE when I made this dish for the first time today.... Hahaha. Like you said... the infamous Singapore Noodles, that mystify every Singaporean because this well-known curry powder version does not exist in Singapore.
It's DELICIOUS though even though you can only find this dish in America, Canada, New Zealand, and Australia! Hmm .. seems like you can find it anywhere outside of Singapore! Haha. Wish i can show you the picture i took of the dish. Looked so pretty with all the colors!

Singapore Noodles is certainly available in Singapore! You just have to know where to get it. Where ? At "Zi Char" stalls usually found in coffee shops . The pork used is called "Char Siu" and the noodles used is called "Bee Hoon" or rice noodles. Vermicelli is not rice noodles but mung beans noodles or "Tung Hoon". Eggs are not pre cooked but are mixed and poured into the noodles during cooking. S$5 to S$6 per dish. Vegetable used is cabbage. Enjoy!!!

It’s a dish created in Hong Kong I believe. That’s why it’s on a lot of Cantonese menus. What I think would have happened is someone created it, then had to come up with a name. Then thought, “they like lots of curry in Singapore, let’s call them Singapore noodles.” Same sort of thing happened when someone decided to call ham and pineapple pizza Hawaiian pizza.

Hi, I love your recipes! Can I use chicken instead of pork? If so, what marinade should I use on the chicken and can I just cook it in the wok separately?
