- This is the new 2024 Cadillac Lyriq Luxury 1 with All-Wheel Drive. This particular Lyriq comes in stellar black metallic on sky cool gray with santorini blue leather interior. The powertrain consists of 2 electric motors (1 on each axle) mated to a 102 kwH battery.
Standard features of this Lyriq include Bluetooth audio, a backup camera, and WIRELESS Apple CarPlay/Android Auto compatibility. Additional features include a fixed glass panoramic roof, heated front seats, and adaptive cruise control with lane keep assist.

I absolutely detest the bland tablet style Tesla pushes, it's why I won't buy any of their products. Cadillac has style!
Love the floor protector sheets showing the AC Delco and Mobile 1 logos. I didn’t know this Caddy used spark plugs and 10w30 full synthetic.
My father had his 2024 model delivered mid July (waited one year, 3 months) .

On all 2024 Lyriqs, Luxury 1 trim comes with basic audio, u need go trim 2 or 3 to get AKG - 19 speaker system. I’m not surprised it sounded like trash - ‘in a good way’. :😂 in general - great video.

I'll wait for the "-V" model that improves the handling and road feel feedback. I own a 2012 CTS-V Sport Wagon, and once you've driven a car like that with world class handling and performance, you won't settle for less. A Lyriq-V would be a suitable replacement.
I’ve owned this car for 3 weeks. It handles like a dream. I’ve owned 6 new Cadillacs. This is the best one by far. It accelerates like it has a warp drive. The ride is so smooth and it’s quiet. It has 500 HP and so much torque.
I test drove one of these about a month and a half ago. I LOVED it. It was super comfortable, and very fast. Even better, I am 6’2 and left the driver’s seat in my driving position and then jumped in back behind it. STILL a ton of leg room. The seat wasn’t right up against my knees at all.
Put it in sport mode, you might get that feedback from the steering wheel.👍🏾👍🏾
I drove one for about a week, and the steering is stiff in sport mode, just still can’t feel the road which is a gift for most Cadillac buyers, but not more me. 😔😂
I got the Tech trim - Disappointed. It lacks such essential items - a heated steering wheel, for example. My Mustang Mach-E is the best in most of the aspects.

Sport mode is much more stiff than comfort. Either set the steering to sport in my mode or just drive in sport mode.

Something strange going on with this car. 2023 RWD got over the EPA estimated range of 312 miles. The 2024 RWD EPA is 308 & the AWD’s EPA is 307. Actual testing of the 2024 was done and the 2024 RWD range was 270 & AWD was 220!
Are these are issue-prone as many of the TH-cam review videos have led me to believe?! A car can’t be enjoyed if it’s constantly in the shop!

You look at these new Cadillac IQ EVs with these incredible specs and you wonder if they are real or just prototype specs. I’m not use to seeing GM vehicles being good or in this case _great_ in the real world.
It has meh range tho even tho it out preforms range estimates of 307 by 15-20 mi but regardless it doesn’t have access to superchargers and overall the charging is slow. I’m hoping for 2025 Lyriq for a range boost and for it to emulate the interior of the Escalade IQ and add in future Ultra cruise ability.

Unfortunately, the Sky Cool Gray interior is NOT genuine leather, but “Inteluxe” which, despite the fancy name, is nothing but FAKE leather. That’s NOT ACCEPTABLE in a Cadillac.
The luxury 1 is 77k including everything …The model Y is a bargain compared to this lyriq..The 2023 lyriq had everything at a price around 60k ….Not a smart move by GM to increase the price with tier levels …Should have waited a couple of years …BMW Ix is a better option at this price point

The AKG system is top notch in my opinion.
@NothinButCarReviews does the audio sound fine without akg? Idk if I want to spend 5k more to get better sound if the lux 1 sounds good without it.

I don't like trunks that do not also have a lock button. I use that 98% of the time I close the rear hatch. Hit that and walk away, it closes and locks everything. You don't need to do another step like this car. Hit the close button, then you have to wait for it to shut and then hit a lock button. Rather dumb that every manufacturer doesn't have both buttons.
I wonder if it's like my Bimmer. I don't need to lock it because it locks automatically when I walk away with the key.

I didn’t see you testing auto pilot lane keep like Tesla Y base model has. At this price point it should have auto lane keep. Despite Tesla’s interior Looks like crap still cheaper than Cadillac.
Only have that with available Super Cruise.

No super Cruise so I would pass, one of the big selling points of the vehicle.
This vehicle is available with Super Cruise as an option. Have to step up to Level 2 or 3 for that option.

AKG system doesn’t come standard in this trim level, and I highly recommend getting it over standard system.

Is there a big difference between the AKG sound system and the basic one.
I’d say the AKG system is a 9.5, stock system is like a 7. The stock system is good, I just had a tester for a few days with the AKG system, and AKG makes some of the best car stereo systems I’ve experienced in the Cadillacs.
As someone who just purchased a 2024 Lux 1, the basic audio system is one of the worst parts of the car. While i'm not an audiophile, I find it barely passable. Majority of the sound, sounds like it come from the windshield section, even with fade/balance adjusting. If you can, opt for the AKG.
What about towing can you do a review on one towing
You really don't want to tow much of anything with an EV currently. It will cut your range in half typically.

12v batteries are dying on 2023s for a lot of folks. People are having to climb in through the trunk to be able to open the doors

@@rival121 They *finally* admitted that the linchpin was battery production. It was a major problem which means they will not meet their production promises regardless of how much they contradict the facts. Aside from that, their complete lack of communications with customers was something they had control of, but perhaps they did not care. The Lyriq could have been a superb success story for Cadillac. Decent specs at a reasonable price and a lot of new-to-Cadillac customers. Unfortunately, this botched rollout will probably mean these new customers that actually got a new Lyriq, will not buy another Caddy.
@@rival121 Still not good, but you're way off. Over 2300 as of July 5, but that's because they're ramping up production after having supply shortages.
