    I love the subtle dark chrome trim of the Sport version more so than the Luxury.

    Gotta say, this sport version is a big styling improvement over the base model. I'm looking at this or the new Escalade IQ.

      @kgb3209 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Unless you have a lot of kids I think the Lyriq will ride a lot better. I think the Escalade IQ will get the same battery as the hummer so they can advertise a 300mi-350mi range. That will make it way heavier than a normal escalade already is

      The Escalade IQ is on another level, that Celestiq is the car I'm worried about being destroyed by the IQ because I'm thinking this Celest-IQ's customers are going to flog for it. I could be wrong, but I won't be surprised if that happens

    I come from a big “car family” who are all very against my choice of the lyriq but I honestly love this car. I Never thought I’d own an electric car this soon, but it is fast, beautifully designed, and super comfortable to drive. Luckily I live somewhere with lots of charging stations.

    Ty, you gave us a very informative video, with not only the bigger picture, but also tons of small details many of us wanted. I second the idea to get a better inside camera for brightening up gauge and scene presentation. Overall was excellent, to the point I subscribed to your channel. Thank you.

    I stopped by the dealer yesterday and they had a Lyriq Luxury 1. It was absolutely beautiful, red with white interior. Love the interior and exterior design. Unfortunately Tesla’s are plain Jane compared to the Cadillac. The only problem I had was this car is just too big for two people. I wish they would come out with one about the size of the Toyota RAV 4.

    The charge rate to go from 20-80% for an extra 200 mile range, is poor at a level 2 charger. Ultium cells are heavy and the battery pack adds additional weight. The 300+ miles comes at a cost of more expensive charging. It is not an efficient vehicle. It may look nice, but underneath the vehicle is a poor performer. Before you buy any electric vehicle you should examine the charging curve and the how many Kw you are adding and at what rate, with each charge. That is really the bottom line. This car will a lead weight on a long trip.

    • @Nebula1701
      @Nebula1701 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Many people don't care and the Lyirq will suite their needs and charging habits. Plenty of people getting far better mileage than advertised. As for the charge curve that's still in the works. Lyriq seems to care for the battery more than it does for speed but some Lyriq owners are getting far better charging times than we have seen in reviews.

    • @normt430
      @normt430 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It needs improving but with this demographic charging all from home they won't care.

    • @protovack
      @protovack ปีที่แล้ว +5

      slower charging means easier on the battery and it lasts longer. most people charge overnight at home anyways. What difference does 10-15 minutes make on a road trip you make twice a year? I have an EV6 and it charges TOO fast for my kids to go to the bathroom. I actually have to stay with the car and move it once its done charging in 15 minutes, while my wife and kids are still in the store getting snacks and whatever. Do i like the charging speed? yes. but its also a bit over-rated. people are paranoid about charging speed but once you actually own an EV, 150kw charging is more than fast enough. This lyriq charges plenty fast enough for the vast majority of use cases, and it gets great range, while being quite a large vehicle with plenty of space. that's basically it. i have no clue why you are claiming it is a "poor performer". compared to my EV6? yea it charges a bit slower. Big fricken deal. The lyriq is nicer inside. first world problems dude. look into it.

      Why?
      2024 gives a sunroof option not available on the 2023. Additionally, door handles for 2024 are much better thought out than the 2023.

  • @rytas
    @rytas ปีที่แล้ว

    From the front, looking down the side, the door handle levers look like erect nipples sticking out. They are better than the push-and-grab-somewhere-else 23 openers, though.
