    I have about 5000 miles on mine as well. I echo the comment not having a problem rolling it backwards in stores. Rolling it forward is a nightmare. I also agree with the author of the video that the fun of this wheel is off the scale. I test wheels. I’ve had the S 22 or better said the S 20 for well over a year. I absolutely love it.

    I would give the wheel a C or C+ with stock stuff. Rather than the K262 which I have 5000+ miles on, go for the Shinko 244, it's way better, I can't go back to the Kenda. The S22 is super agile nimble and controllable, especially if you also get the E-Rides pedals, in stock position the lip in front and back of the pedals helps with leverage. S22 is now an A for me, A+ if they ever boost the torque via firmware. And split riding modes like InMotion, so I can make the braking softer

    You'll get used to the trolley handle when you push it backwards. In that configuration it's the same as begodes rear handle. When you get used to it you'll notice it's more nimble than a centered handle.

    Nice video, I would add my two cents. Trolley handle - I found one positive on this, its super easy and safe to carry S22 switched off (in subway) on handed. Pushing it in front of me like a garden cart and always ready to be placed on kickstand. Very usefull when my second hand is used to carry helmet.

    Unfortunately the idea, that KS will do a motor recall is NEVER…..NEVER EVER going to happen. They will replace FAILED motors on warranty, and even for those the transport costs are on you or the re-seller. Also the worktime that needs to be invested for a motorchnage goes on the re-seller. Motors starting from July on should be fine, i heard a date of 22nd June, where the motor problem should be history. Should…..as only time will tell.
    As a S22 owner myself i cant understand the braking problems….i have none of them and would say its same ligue as other 18/19/20 inch wheels. Sliders: When you want to make the suspension perfect go for a 4 or 6 bearing wheel CNC aluminum slider. Some are allready on the market and are priced like „good pedal“ or „3d printed clarkpad things“, so FOR ME no question.
    KS, which in generell had a very good quality reputation….with 16x and 18xl the less failing models in their class, has lost nearly all of it with this release desaster.
    And i am saying that as one who always prefered KS over other brands…..but now THAT ALL nearly changed my mind.

  • @Mpower31

    I Know I was so pissed about the trolley handle when the s22 was first announced!!
    I disagree sort of about it being badly placed in the rear, on the msx I could sit on it while using the trolley as a guide or I could put a grocery basket on it while also grabbing the handle and yeah it was awesome! That said it being in the center is without a doubt the best placement for easy of use. Rear being right after that and front bring the absolute worst.

    • @SolarizeYourLife
      @SolarizeYourLife 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      The trolley handle is the least problem with this wheel.... Ah motor, slides, spring...way more problematic...

  • @BunnyslippersEUC
    @BunnyslippersEUC 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    I totally disagree with you on the trolly handle. The S22 is back heavy, because of the heavy suspension. So the wheel will always want to ride backwards. Solution is to hold the trolley with the fingers under the handle and thumb above. It is best to keep the S22 center of gravity close to your body for better control. The S22 will aways ride into your hand, towards you. If trolleying like an MSP the S22 rides away from you, so less control. The MSP trolley is horrendous, compared to the S22.
    I use the stock upper pads and I use jump blocks.
    I put foam blocks on the sides of the suspension arm to protect the oil reservoir.
    I love the stock knobby tire. It really grabs and is fantastic for off road.
    I put some dry lub on the sliders.

    Whatever you do, don't try to return it.
    Rev Rides wouldn't take it back even though there are zero miles on it.
    I was so stoked and then basically as soon as I got it I started hearing motor issues so I waited...and there was a recall.
    They'll fix the motor but they 100% will not refund your money even though I don't trust any of the battery, motor, or slider fixes they've implemented.
    Best EUC on paper
    One of the most cursed product launches
    And RR knows that if they take one back, EVERYONE is going to bring them back.
    I was so excited to finally get a preorder on something with the ground clearance and wheel travel to make a go at our jungles (Oregon, USA) and now I fear even getting on the thing. I will likely get the recall motor replacement done and try to sell it, if anyone will buy it, regardless of whether it's basically NIB.
    In my mind I'm full sending but as soon as I put a foot on it my body freezes and refuses to launch.
    I have three other wheels, but they can't go where this one was supposed to have taken me.
    I have never been so stoked and so disappointed in my life, especially after dropping over 3k USD on this thing.
    Honestly, I have this feeling that there is going to be big issues with EUC imports soon - how many gigantic battery packs have to catch fire and how many people have to endure poor quality/design that puts them on a 50MPH+ cutout faceplant, for starters? I am amazed that the whole EUC market hasn't been flagged by the CPSC (Consumer Product Safety Commission) and I wouldn't be surprised to find out about massive graft and bribes to get them here in the first place.
    My pretty educated guess is that there were so many issues with the S20 that they had to change the name just to be able to redo the paperwork to import it at all. Technically, on paper, it's a different model, and they can distance from the issues...but if you don't fix the ORIGINAL PRODUCTION ISSUES you are going to get MORE PROBLEMS.
    On an EUC you only get ONE SHOT. If your ride fails, there is no recourse and you can't coast it to a stop or wrestle it to safety, you just go SPLAT and it happens so fast you won't know what happened until you wake up later.
    I don't know how much longer they're gonna get a pass and keep shipping to the US but when that line gets pinched off, so does your lifeline for PARTS and WARRANTY, and it's gonna get pinched off if they don't start doing MUCH better QC before the units leave the factory. Flawed designs need to be taken off the market, period, just like a car or motorcycle that can't be fixed (which is also why I wonder how the One Wheel is still legal, not that I'm advocating for it, just surprised that it can still be sold as-designed).

    I was also one if those that canceled my deposit for this wheel. I felt kinda scammed . I probably won't ever do that again, I really need to see some reliable proven wheels come out before I put my money up again. With all I learned about this wheel from feedback, & reviews, I have lost interest it's a great looking g wheel, but that's it. Not a fan of too many moving wear, & tear parts. As much as I would like a higher voltage suspension wheel, I am waiting on what the jury says about the Sherman S before I make a decision.
