From my experience with Leaperkim wheels just always get the 66lb suspension, it doesn’t cost anymore and you can just adjust the suspension to your weight anyways. You just get that security if/when you need it.
Is use case is off road and trail riding. If you street ride and like cruise speeds of 55 to 70 kph you want a larger wheel diameter like a master for example.
unlike most people, I really want Leaperkim to keep using this type of display because it just works, it is super visible under any circumstance, reliable, energy efficient, simple, it may not be the most esthetic but i would not change it, maybe just add voltage on the main screen at all time
great vid, good music choice too! I just got my patton a few days ago, and i'm really having trouble liking it. I have a friend who has one and never stops singing it's praise, and i've seen him do some crazy stuff on it, but mine, it just feels like im riding a tractor. It's slow, the tire feels like it has a mind of its own, and everyone talks about how deceptively nimble it is... but for me, I feel like i have to force it turn, but yet it's still wobbly in straight lights, or when I go up hill I don't get that power I need, so it slows down regardless of how hard I'm leaning into it.
Love the direction. I want a 35 mph wheel I can do whatever I want with. This is in that direction. I’d never pay the new price, but I’ll keep an eye out for deals. They need to keep in mind that if you’re willing to ride and EUC, you’d ride a motorcycle, and price accordingly.
Used wheels are great for budget minded people like me! Love my $700- 16x and my first wheel was only $75, which lasted me over a year. I’ve been thinking about getting the S22pro in a couple years but I’m not getting a new wheel until they’re demonstrably safer, less expensive and better performing than either motorcycles or cars, which is likely 5-10 years away. Until then, I’ll only ride what I can service myself, so rider serviceability is essential for picking a good long-term wheel to own.
More voltage sacrifices range, which is why the Sherman S has the most range out of any other euc now. Top speed isn’t any slouch either; it’s definitely meant more for the long range high speed commuter. I don’t care much about voltage tho cuz the Sherman S can solidly compete with the S22 in terms of overall performance.

There are several opposite requirements the EUC should satisfy: 1) have less weight; 2) avoid electronics' overheat; 3) avoid water; 4)... This is why they do what you telling here.
As a dimensional challenged man of Asian ancestry, I surely know "bigger isn't always better". My probs is the phrase dont always work, for me atleast 😆. Serious tho, after replacing the RSht with a T4, I'm totally convinced the 16" format is THE PACKAGE for offroad shennigans. Yes esp the gnarly technical single tracks, up & down. Havent ridden the Patton so I dunno but I'm loving the T4. Gonna try upgrading the stock air shock with a very inexpensive coil but ya, the suspensin is my only complaint. Not that its bad but more so I have issues setting it for both trails AND jumps. On the T4, its 1 or the other. Otherwise, I love the 16" pkg for my dirt duties. I'm sure the Patton is nice & more torquey
Also are you measuring it from rim to rim because all websites state that it is 18 inch. I know some people don’t know or haven’t acclimated to the euc world where people measure tire to tire normally. Just wondering
Thanks for watching. They both handle really well, but I still have a soft spot for the S22 despite its shortcomings. The Patton is still new so time will tell if it’s going to be a reliable wheel, or not.
If they built this wheel from magnesium like Sherman S it cpuld be the best wheel on the market. Like this it is too heavy for daily use and waterproofing is also not perfect. I still preffer my V12HT because it is so well thought out and built.
Backwards works great for me.. I have zero problems with my s22 handle… now I am patiently waiting for my ex-30 to arrive on a boat from china … june cant get here fast enough. I am also 6’4 270lbs and this suspension will not dowith the smaller clearance and no mods …the patton will not be for me.
Yah the tire itself adds a little bit of diameter but it’s still smaller than a V11. I actually put them side-by-side, but forgot to add it to the video.
@Lando Cycle yeah i hope Extreme is 18" or almost 18" instead of 16". I got a 16x and love it but i want little bigger wheel on something faster with suspension.
I will never understand how people demand cOlOr ScrEeN. Like wtf? The screen on Veterans looks clean and functional, on the contrary Inmotion's color screen looks like a lagging toy.
If you’ve ever ridden a new motorcycle, you would have likely experienced the beauty of a bright, colour screen - they’re fantastic and could be perfectly adapted to an EUC. Especially for the price they’re charging for these things now. I agree the new InMotion screen is little cluttered for its size.
@@landocycle Color screen would cheapen the value of EUC in my eyes. Not every screen has to be LCD. Its not about cluttered but about the computing power you have to have in order for the screen to not seem like an unfinished science project.
Why does EVERYONE who reviews this say the same thing? They say they bottom out because they are heavier but NONE of them have the 66 lb version. Why is this? Are they not available? Are these test units? Ahh. it looks like this might be the same wheel that is making rounds to all the youtubers. Good video, btw.
@@darkstar4494 Every single reviewer said 62 lbs was too low...even a girl who weight 76 lbs. The weight of the wheel itself is added to body weight which exceeds those tolerances. I am wondering if their suggestions are minus body weight when doing drops. Lando answered the question though stating the test wheel was only a 62. Man they even have a 58...I wonder who that is for.
@@matthewearl9824 I preordered mine with 62. I don’t plan on jumping I just want a smooth ride. Maybe it will be ok for me. I expect that if I jump it will bottom out.
sounds biased on 3'39 trolley handle so bad on S22 then the other one, i don't have a S22, but it definitly look biaised. Makes me suspicious about all the rest of the video.
The Begode Extreme suspension also looks promising as it seems to be the best design out there … thanks to Chance (of the WattsSingleTrack channel) assisting with the design.
@@darkstar4494 The Extreme appears to be using both the vertical cylinder spring as a slider/shock AND the linkage mechanism similar to original S20. Hopefully this combination is durable and resistant to frequent cleanings/repair. Being able to replace the air cartridge with a coil spring/hydraulic shock is invaluable since aftermarket replacements will likely always be available. The V13 Challenger will be factory upgraded to MTB style shocks soon and future wheels (like the Adventurer) will have the linkage system included as well. Of course, best is subjective and relative so there’s probably better is yet to come. My fantasy EUC comes with an electric-hydraulic dynamic suspension like Bose Corporation developed 30 years ago, which will have to be adopted by the motorcycle industry before we see it … but it’ll be able to jump-assist so that you can power jump a car in one giant leap, or ride up stairs and have it feel like an escalator. {this tech exists but has not yet been adopted}. What would you like to see integrated into EUC design? I recommend watching the interview of CEO Bob (from Inmotion) on the Forward N Bak channel. Good into on upcoming lineup. And… Have you seen CHANCE ride? Best, like that!

yea, remove left battery, fender and do tire change

I'm right on the edge of buying this.
Range and high speed stability and I heard the screws strip out easy. Those are my main concerns.

this is the wheel. put in my preorder, thanks for the awesome first impressions vid

Any new wheel does take a bit of an adjustment, especially if one was on a smaller machine before.
3:32 Important to say only the inner wheel is 16" but with the Tire its 18". To me it makes it even better
not much tires on the market for 12" rim... :(

I would still get the Sherman S
As always, thanks for the great review.🙏 helped me a lot~👍
Great video thank you, be careful you have two ''Missing clip'' glitch in Davinci resolve at around 5:28
I saw that only after it was live 😂
Have no idea what caused that, as the clip still rendered. Cheers.
I'm wonder grinding down the raised rim on the pedals might make a difference.
i think the top and bottom would separate if you did. only from looking at my v1 sherman peddles. i could be totally wrong
I think they missed the mark on the Sherman-S with a 100V and not a 126V. The Patton I want for trail riding so badly

Hey great vid!I if you have to choose between Sherman s and Patton at the same price ( like in mi country ) wich one would you choose ?
The Patton is the better riding wheel at the cost of range. So I guess it depends how much range you want.

Push the s22 backwards the handle works way better
