- In this video I attempt a high end furniture dupe/ furniture flip... this time trying to take a piece of free furniture I found from a Craigslist garage sale, and turn it into recreation of a $1300 Anthropologie credenza!
This video is part of the $100 challenge, a battle of 24 furniture flipping TH-camrs! We are all attempting to flip a piece of furniture from start to finish for less than $100. The rules are simple: Find a piece and flip it for $100 or less, this includes the cost of the piece and materials used in the refinishing process, but not the cost of powertools or paint sprayers. We are only accounting for what was actually used on our pieces. Thanks so much to all the other TH-camrs participating in this challenge! What an inspiring and fun challenge.

Just a suggestion, when redoing a cedar chest no need for a big mamas B. As cedar is aromatic. All you have to do is lightly sand the inside cedar and it will come back to it’s sweet smell. A smell fabric eating bugs don’t particularly care for so it protects stored items.
Hi Judy! Absolutely. I love the smell of the cedar. I put in Big Mama's Butta just to brighten up the wood -- more for color than smell. But honestly the orange and the cedar together smell HEAVENLY! Unfortunately I somehow didn't include the clips of the "after" of the INSIDE which is sad because it looks good inside too! Thanks for watching :)

Beautiful job! Did you notice that the $1300 item had a door that didn’t line up. You are very creative with your flips. I’ve watched a few if your flips and you’ve demonstrated a number of great tricks and shortcuts that don’t detract from the flip at all.

Good job Clara. It's lovely. A tip I learned in art class years ago: base coat projects in white and you will have better, faster coverage with your final color, and your final color will pop. Hope that helps?

I have a two car garage full of furniture and in the back is a cedat chest with the same kind of top! My husband found it on the curb also. Now I know what to do with it. Gonna have to dig it out. Great job on yours, it looks fantastic.
It does look great! And I might be the rare exception, but I also liked the vintage look of it before, including the fabric. Lol! I just worry it wasn't staged right, just child use cleaning up and setup to reveal its unappreciated beauty. Might be something to consider because it would be much easier.
Anyway, it's your stuff and for what it's worth, I support your artistic decisions! I'm not trying to insult or anything, it looks great how she does it, but it could be really cute as is, just cleaned and set.
Have fun with your garage full, I've got the same.
