The College domes in the west are the Big Sky domes. Forgot the wooden dome at NAU in Flagstaff. The Walkup Skydome. Has a lot of history. Atone point it was home to not only football but it hosted indoor track, basketball and hockey when NAU had division 1 hockey in the early 80s before the floor pipes for hockey failed. Caused NAU to play it last div 1 seasons in Tempe 140 miles from campus.
Dude, SoFi Stadium isn't even a dome. It's an open air stadium with an unattached canopy. That's why they had to postpone a game for a bit due to lightning either last season or in 2021.
Then they also had that one game where there heat problems but I don’t think anything got postponed. It’s freaking Los Angeles (Inglewood still is technically a suburb), they should’ve thought about the possibility of an extra hot day before building that stadium into the design that it is
I remember Holt Arena when it was called the Mini-Dome. I lived in Pocatello Id in the early 70s when I was like four years old. But I dod remember going to football and basketball games there. Surprised it is still around but glad it is.
I wouldn’t consider SoFi stadium to be a dome. It does have a roof and just a roof, meaning it’s still open to the outdoor elements (for example that lightning delay at a rams or chargers game last year)
I wonder where Lucas Oil would have ranked if it was a fixed roof. I toured that stadium years ago it's a fun tour and they rarely ever open the roof. It was closed the day I was there and that was in June on a hot summer day.
Have you eveer even seen a UTSA game? They're actually a really good top 25 team, and the Alamodome gets pretty packed on big games. Pretty sure they got like 41k people to go to the C-USA championship this year.
thank you for giving ford field the love it deserves! I alway thought it was the most under rated stadium in the NFL. Definitely not a fan that you left out Northern Michigan University's Superior Dome 😓 I love all your research and videos you make though! keep up the good work! its nice to see someone else is as nerdy about sports as I am lol
Land of my fathers 2013 Millennium Stadium A national anthem performance like no other When the stadium is this loud you would never want to open the roof
Nice video, Ginger; however, I would rank Allegiant above SoFi because SoFi is located in Inglewood. Anyone who has ever been to Inglewood knows what a violent craphole it is.
Imma be honest I've been to a chunk of these stadiums, and I'm completely fine with where Tropicana Field is, but even with how dated it is and strange, I actually love it there. You have no idea how much better is when they're able to put people in seats too. Lol Addition: Caesar Superdome is absolutely elite, not even just saying that cus it's my team/state but it's just an iconic, beautiful building dude.
If it had been built, the Dodger Dome would have been the envy of all MLB, and would have been built a decade before the Astrodome, and would have allowed the Brooklyn Dodgers to play there starting in 1960 after moving from Ebbets Field.
The Fargo Dome is owned by Fargo which is why the seats are the color they are because NDSU doesn’t want to spend money on something they don’t own when they don’t make much to begin with
I am not concerned at all about exteriors. Depressed Ginger does not know what he is talking about. It is the interior that matters. Specifically, is the seating reasonably comfortable? Are concessions accessible and reasonably priced? Is the view of the playing surface good? How many restrooms and are they accessible? Are there structural and infrastructure concerns, such as poor or leaky plumbing such as found in Oakland and Landover. That, not superficial issues, are the true measure of a sports venue.
You know, he's worried about walls of seats and ugly exteriors, and boring hitters eyes in baseball. Whereas your list would really be the best way to rank stadiums.
@@MikeyKaos716 Don’t forget his obsession with team logos on scoreboards too. Sometimes they are better without the logos to the sides of the teams depending on the design.
Problem with Sofi is that it is an open air stadium with a giant magnifying glass for a roof, no AC and the natural air doesn’t flow as it was meant to be.
@@nicholovestadiums6443 But in Houston the roof as only been opened once since 2014. That is basically a dome. A real retractable roof stadium is Am Fam Field it's 50/50 open and closed.
What are you talking about with the Metrodome? The Carrier Dome is far superior in comparison. Not only is a much newer roof, but it covers more area and actually allows more light in. The Dome's was half-assed as they knew it was on the way out and did not let as much light as you think in there. That was due to the lighting of the building. Also, it's Kib-bie not Kibble Dome. While we're at it, UTSA technically isn't a small school. They enroll well over 34k, they just aren't namebrand as they are under the Texas State school system. Idk why I even sub to this channel. I hope you were being sarcastic at the top when you said you put in effort on your research because every video is littered with inaccuracies and misplaced opinions.

Tacoma Dome, Superior Dome, Alerus Center, UNI-Dome, J. Lawrence Walkup Skydome….. c’mon son
Like he said, we know how much research he does for his videos ;)
round valley dome?
I believe Ford Field was the first one to put windows in, allowing natural light to shine on the field.
Ford Field is awesome!! I will definitely return to future events there!
9:36 amazing to see the contrast between the size of a basketball court and a football field
12:25 XFL Vegas Vipers at Allegiant Stadium, alongside MLS, MLR, USL, and NWSL teams in Las Vegas, Nevada
10:23 USFL New Orleans Breakers at Mercedes-Benz/Caesars Superdome, with new MLS, MLR, USL and NWSL teams in New Orleans, Louisiana
SOFI isn’t a dome, technically, it’s an open air stadium with a canopy

5:45 new NFL, MLS,MLR, USL and NWSL teams in San Antonio, Texas
11:27 New MLS, MLR, USL and NWSL teams in Detroit, Michigan
San Antonio- The Alamodome. I was 13 when it opened parents took me to Paul Mcartney first concert there. Never got a professional FB baseball team.
Have you eveer even seen a UTSA game? They're actually a really good top 25 team, and the Alamodome gets pretty packed on big games. Pretty sure they got like 41k people to go to the C-USA championship this year.
13:44 MLS Los Angeles Galaxy FC at SoFi Stadium
Where is AT&T Stadium on this list?
AT&T stadium isn't a dome, the center portion of the roof is retractable
11:08 I thought Las Vegas was hosting the Super Bowl this upcoming season. 😅
Caesars Superdome? One of the oldest and still coolest domes. Outlived the Astrodome
You do know the Astrodome is still standing right?
I really enjoy your videos because I’m a huge baseball fan and you make lots of sense!!!

Ethan Warner. But if you ask the locals, the Superior Dome is called the Yooper Dome.
"Today, I want to rank every Dome in the United States..."
*proceeds to completely blow off the UNI-Dome
HEY WHAT ABOUT LUCAS OIL, INDIANAPOLIS COLTS
AND HOSTED A SUPER BOWL ALSO PLENTY OF FINAL FOURS
He said only fixed-roof stadiums in the video. Lucas Oil has a retractable roof.
Oh, ok. Thank you
The thing about the trop is from pictures it looks like baseball being played underneath a circus tent
11:09 You were right before. It is in 2025.
Forgot the alerus center
You're the man. I need a text tone that's your voice saying "STAYYDEEUMMMM"
Tropicana Field better than the Alamodome? Considering that a dump that place is compared the Alamodome, I'm just not feeling it.
2:23 Idaho and the Dakotas are frigid and cold. Worth it to play in a dome
The JMA dome formerly Carrier Dome was going to have see thru roof but they were worried about natural sunlight for basketball.
14:39 Imagine Minnesota United FC at US Bank Stadium
Land of my fathers 2013 Millennium Stadium
A national anthem performance like no other
When the stadium is this loud you would never want to open the roof
Is the Kibbie Dome the one with the goalposts on the wall?
I didnt see alerus center on there... home of north dakota fighting hawks football
So Fi is an outdoor statium. They have had lightning delays. US Bank is a Viking ship design.
No mercedez or AT&T ??? cmon man
Neither are domes
Nice video, Ginger; however, I would rank Allegiant above SoFi because SoFi is located in Inglewood. Anyone who has ever been to Inglewood knows what a violent craphole it is.
Forgot the Alerus Center in Grand Forks, ND!
Superdome is gorgeous
😊
Doesn't the University of Northern Iowa have a dome also?
Could've sworn the spurs and warriors played in the alamodome a few months ago not a few years. ..wow time flies
yeah it was like 3 months ago, he got it wrong
Where was the Mercedes Dome in Atlanta?
The Silverdome had 3 decks. Awesome video!
North Dakota, Northern Arizona, and Northern Iowa also have domes that kind suck
There was talk of doming Candlestick Park, but they tore it down instead!!!
I like to call US Bank the Cathedral with it's glass roof and the sunlight going through.

Idaho State! Jeez I live in Queens, New York and I think 🤔 more ppl live here!
Ranking every retractable roof stadiums?
No way you didn’t include the Superior Dome 😢
Kyle Pozorski, call it by its unofficial name, the Yooper Dome.
I was just about to mention this
Putting the kibbi dome so low is criminal. It's one of the only college ones with natural light making the inside look amazing during day games
A list where the Trop is actually in the middle of the pack??? 😮😮
Am I dreaming?
Spurs vs Warriors in the Alamodome was this year lol
Very good list!
Where’s AT&T at ( Dallas )
What happened to Lucas oil stadium
How is Sofi on there but not AT&T?
Jerry world is isn't dome it's recreatble roof
What about Mercedes Benz stadium in Atlanta
Damnnn bro got a video for everything respect the grind 💪🏽
No Tacoma Dome?
Depressed Ginger isn’t the sharpest marble in the bag .. clearly

Holt Arena…. Lol looks like Holt’s airplane hanger.
You forgot about Atlanta
Mercedes-Benz has a retractable roof
Idaho loves their oversized Quonset huts.
Fyi it's Kibbie, not Kibble. Also, that NBA game at the Alamodome was recently.
This season's Super Bowl is in Las Vegas. Next year it's in New Orleans.
I'm looking forward to the Chiefs winning a Superbowl at the home of the Raiders, aka Arrowhead West
No love for the Superior Dome in Marquette, MI
No Arizona Dome?? (Cardinals dome). That has a huge see through wall
It has a retractable roof, so doesn't fit on the list.
@@MikeyKaos716 I keep forgetting that. I think it’s covered all the time. Never seen it open!,
Bro the idaho state stadium looks like it would have the best atmosphere
The Fargo Dome is owned by Fargo which is why the seats are the color they are because NDSU doesn’t want to spend money on something they don’t own when they don’t make much to begin with
Where is NAU's dome stadium ?
you missed the alerus center in Grand Forks and it is probably better than all the other garbage small midwest domes you listed.
Allegiant Stadium looks like a giant plush hockey puck or a tire and wheel cover.
A Robot Vacuum 😂
What about Jerry’s World ?
I actually like the kibble dome. Plenty of natural light and an open field
That Spurs-Warriors game took place on January 13, 2023. Messed up some of your research.
The FedEx Forum is technically a dome as well

Alamodome also hosted a CFL team when the CFL lost their minds....
bro the spurs vs warriors game happened this year lol
Where’s AT&T Stadium aka Cowboys Stadium/Jerry’s World?
Lucus oil?
Problem with Sofi is that it is an open air stadium with a giant magnifying glass for a roof, no AC and the natural air doesn’t flow as it was meant to be.
Roof Roof Roof Roof Roof
no uni dome?
Tampa Bay will never have an all star game as long is "The Tropicana dome" is still there rays needs to move downtown
Truly inspirational
I use to live in Tampa area, now I live in San Antonio. The Alamo dome is way better
You gotta remake this video when the Tennessee titans move into their dome stadium
Superior Dome, UNI Dome, Walkup Skydome, Lucas Oil Stadium
Lucus oil is retractable but the rest are valid
Houston? Atlanta?
Those are retractable roof stadiums

It’s just D2 but left out the superior dome in Northern Michigan
Idaho?? Hosting a College Football Playoff?? That’s the joke of the day 😂😂

the super dome is NOT hosting the Super Bowl in 2024, Las Vegas is hosting in 2024.
You misspelled Caesars
