How to get the attention of VFX luminaries

VFX wizard Jay Worth, known for his work with Jonathan Nolan on shows like „Westworld“ and „Fallout“, gave a talk on the latter at FMX 2024. He told the story of how he‘d discovered young Belgian VFX artist Gilles Augustijnen, whom he hired for a crucial scene in „The Peripheral“.
Gilles also presented at FMX, showing this very scene as well as the clip that first attracted Jay‘s attention: Gilles combined the title sequences of „Westworld“ and „Game of Thrones“.
At FMX, the two met in person for the first time. And each told their shared story.
