@@borismcfinnigan3430 this car won the touring car championship and Bathurst in 78 think 79 was different by signage on the car but they used two different cars I think this 78 car became the co driver car for 79
@@kennethjones6650 we had the 78 winner for 3 years, ran it out of our workshop at Lakeside and we ran it in historic meets and street sprints etc, as well as selling hot lap rides in it around Lakeside. Definitely 2 different cars, easiest way to differentiate is the black interior on the 78 vs the tan of the '79, the 78 car was crashed pretty decently by Ron Harrop sometime in 79 and had not really ran between then and 1996 when Nevill Bridges and i did all the work to recommission it. We ran it in track until 1998, when the Jong Bloeds started cracking and we thought it best to stop. David Body from NSW then sold it to the Bowdens where it liives to this day.
This when they raced car not this v8 super toy crap. 79 Brock won by 36 ks over second place. Led from start to finish something thatcwill never ever happen again.
