Peter Brocks 9th and final Bathurst victory came in 1987 driving a Holden VL Commodore SS Group A along side co-driver David Parsons. David Parsons was driving the 05 Holden Dealer Team (HDT) Commodore when it broke down. So peter Brock and David Parsons took over the second Holden Dealer Team Commodore (#10) car and finished 3rd over the line behind the 2 Texico Ford Sierras. But after 3 month...

David Gilmour is a lengend ❤
I have heard this from multiple people that have met Peter Brock " When he speaks with you its as if there is nobody else on the planet"
Last time he actually crossed the line first to win
His ego killed him
Why doesnt Aaron Noonan tell the truth about Brocks 1987 cars. People in the know, knew what happened. Speak to team Manager Allan Gow , head mechanic Mick Webb ……. Win Percy who has the shell of car 10 freighted to England & now on Win’s farm. Grice and Perkins knew what happened , but kept quiet.
They should do a review on the 350 Chev he ran in the Torana in 79.
His wife was always there for him 😢
The Marlboro HDT days were perfect. Reliable cars, well run and great drivers. No wonder they dominated.
1995/96 best shape v8 super cars in my opinion ford and Holden
I remember watching this.the sierras won fullstop.
I’m a ford fan through and through but brockie is a legend! RIP Peter brock
1987: and the resuuuult 1st
Is it part of a documentary?
Always loved & always missed x
Legend !💯👍
Brock was nothing but a low life wife basher.
Who Cares Still a wife basher. Get a life.
Brock would have won a 10th Bathurst if the Buffon Holden Dealer Team hadn't sacked him in 1987
Brock was still a pig of a man.
Legend!
Brock was nothing but a low life wife basher.
Did you know or even acknowledge that ian moffet and Graham moss beat the shit out of most times brock was ordinarily hence killing himselfon an ordinary rally track . Great driver . Not the best plenty others besides him
Farm man , that's harsh. Regardless of your personal preferences, few can deny Brocks position at the very zenith of V8 motor car racing and especially at the mountain. From 1969 - 2004 . Nearly 35 years racing.most poles. Most wins. C'mon mate. He's a legend. Moffat would be the first to say that
Who’s Ian Moffet???
He was such a good person even my names based off it r.i.p
Ask Michelle Downes what sort of a bloke he was....
Who cares what Michelle Downes has got to say, not me.@@lloydowen1977
He was a low life that bashed his young wife black and blue.
Poor guy forever remembered as a wanker.
R.I.P……….king.
the man and his machine. what a glorious combination
I love how skaifey at the time owned hrt out of respect wanted him in a good car and to send him off at Bathurst respectfully. Tip of the hat to you skaifey
Mark Skaife. Gotta be top 5 of all time. I miss those days. Holden V Ford sigh
What was his time? The pace car would be faster nowadays.
This when they raced car not this v8 super toy crap. 79 Brock won by 36 ks over second place. Led from start to finish something thatcwill never ever happen again.
This car sold for $2m
Never gets old! I'ma go get a pack of smokes and reminisce
Simply the best!!
If people only knew the truth .
Did you know that this car won Bathurst twice? This number 25 1983 Bathurst winning car is actually the 05 1982 Bathurst winning car, fitted with the 1983 front and real spoilers, and repainted as 25 for John Harvey to run in the 1983 Touring Car championship. What a car!
Yes I did know that as I went to Bathurst all through the 80’s. The best years.
I want that car. Absolutely beautiful. Australian Australian touring cars from the 70s and 80s were easily the best. The XC falcon two door was magnificent. The A9X Torana. wow.
@@shanelawther4121 the car bashed its wife?!
@@shanelawther4121 my original post is talking about a car. You seem to be talking about a person.
@@markfromearth4 And my comment is that the diver of this shitbox holden was a low life wife Basher. What don't understand about that?
As a victorian boy in the 80s, all I wanted was to have a commodore like brockys.
Sensational.
you dont get better than this 💪 aussie muscule at its best ,you can keep your ferrari ,s and lambos ill take 05 anyday god bless you brocky 🙏✝
I was ten years old watching on TV my child hood idol what driver
Was this the year that brick crashed 05 and took over car 25
Car 05 gave up the ghost
@@0158-t3s thanks for the reply. Much appreciated
Brock blew the engine in lap 8 in the #05, so he took Phil Brock and John Harvey’s #25
he stole his teammate's car
I sat in that car some years ago at a car show in Brissy. It was a VERY spiritual moment. I miss Brocky....😥 Anyhoo, shit ball sports are over. ROLL ON THIS WEEKEND!!!!!
Jim Richards ❤️🇦🇺🦘
Full race ?
What?
That’s racing , professionally, don’t matter the badge on the car, matters I’m racing and makin money!!'
Peter Brock's ex-wife Michelle Downes says the motor racing star repeatedly beat her and encouraged her to have an abortion during their ill-fated marriage. The former Miss Australia was briefly married to Brock in 1974 when she was a 21-year-old Seven Network weather girl. In an interview with New Idea magazine, published today, Downes said the 12-month marriage was marred by frequent beatings that began on their honeymoon. "I don't even remember what set him off that night," Downes told the magazine. "He pushed me around and threw me up against a wall. I remember sitting on the sand at 2am staring out at the ocean and crying my eyes out."
You finished?
@@0158-t3s absolutely disgusting hey?
@@Homophobicpride Who cares. this video isn't about ol Brocky in his private time. It's about him boosting in the ol VH Commo
@@0158-t3s unfortunately he left a legacy of being a wife basher rather than a good driver.

THE KING AT WORK
I forget which year it was. Peter Jantzen followed Brock on the last lap, trying to get his bit of glory & spun it . He was a real showman , I remember having a chuckle. I was actually disappointed in Frank Gardner after the race.

Thats exactly right mate!

music to my ears
As a young Ford/Moffat fan during this time, I was devastated. Thank god for the privateer Dick Johnston to come up through the ranks and take on the full force of the Holden Factory team. They were great years, and that dice between Brock, Bartlett and Johnston, with Morris tailing em' in the 1981 event was very memorable. There was a danger that Touring Car Racing could get very boring as the HDT was so professional and so successful, many fans could have been turned away. It was such a shame that Ford Australia just dropped the ball on motor racing in the 1980's. I really do feel for drivers such as Moffat and especially Bond who were so let down by this stupid decision. Looking back now at these old days and comparing motor racing now, we are so lucky to have lived through this time. As unfortunately, motor racing these days is so boring. We are so lucky to have such great memories of these old days...so lucky. RIP Peter Brock and John Harvey, thanks for the memories.
