I'm a sixty one year old man. I'm now ten minutes late in leaving for my meeting, and I have tears in my eyes! What a terrific tribute to a fantastic performer and hilariously nice person. Thanks Carol and your friends in tribute to you!
Carol Burnett has always been my favorite comedienne. Always kept it classy. A beautiful tribute to a beautiful individual. I could feel the eyes welling up for her.
This is by far the most touching tribute ever done by the Kennedy center. Carol Burnett used to always shake her ear as a way of saying hi to her grandmother whom she was very close to. The fact that they did it at the end was very sweet, I could have cried.
So hysterically funny to see all these talented women do their spoofs, and so deeply moving to see Bernadette Peters' beautiful performance of the charwoman. Wonderful tribute! I so wish Part I was still available here.
aw i started crying towards the end! julie and carol were best friends and to have her come out as scarlet was priceless. bernadette peters was great too. caro will always be one of my favorite people
I loved seeing the Bushes next to her. It is befitting our nation that POTUS and Flotus be present for such events unlike the dirt bags presently in WH.
When the show had a budget!!!!!.... Cher's tribute this year was so pulled in...Lauper and Lambert was it!!? This show used to be lots of surprise walk on stars to sing or whatever....blowing the honoree away.. like this.. perfect tribute to Carol.
Unfortunately when during Judy Garland's time there was no Kennedy Center Honors. It was not established until the 70s & they don't give them posthumously. But it would have been great.
Oh this is amazing I love how Julie got in on it with Harvey and tim I’m sad that vicki didn’t get to dress up ahah but this is amazing...... okie I cried when they all did the ear tug
@bookwormpianist Can you imagine the kind of tribute they would giver her? It would be incredible. I'm waiting for the day they give Debbie Reynolds, Liza Minnelli, Bernadette Peters, Mary Tyler Moore and Dick Van Dyke their tributes!
If you have been wondering about the Carol Burnett show or Chita Rivera, check them out on TH-cam. Carol B is truly deserving and overdue for this or any honor.
I met him once when he was in Sacramento. I didn't even know how famous he was, and then BOOM, 2 years later I look online, and I'm like "HOLY CRAP I DIDN'T KNOW SHIT I COULD'VE GOTTEN HIS AUTOGRAPH!!" I was an idiot....I will regret it for the rest of my life.
@bookwormpianist think about it. at the time she died, she was pretty much washed up. not saying that she didn't deserve one, she totally did, however, she died in '69. she was 47. most people who get these are at least in their late 50's, but mainly older. but it woulda' been freaking awesome!
Where can I buy a copy of this!? I love Carol Burnett and grew up watching her like everyone else. I am also an Ultra Passionate John Schneider fan and he is wonderful here. It's almost like getting a taste of seeing him on the stage.
Because that was the signature song Carol sang at the end of every show. I think we all figured that was the song she was about to sing, including Carol, but the beauty of her singing and unexpectedly powerful emotions - gratitude towards her friends at feeling so loved and appreciated for all her hard work - just washed over her... I loved that it touched her heart so much.
Art crosses all hearts! (Wait, where's Trump honoring Art at the Kennedy Center? Any videos of our hateful president anywhere?) I have some of him trying to make a joke ... *SPOILER ALERT* ... he was booed. #NastyMan
It is so incredible how many characters and laughs Carol gave us and still giving us she is a national treasure!!!

WOAHWOAHWOAH. Bernadette and Julie on one stage, and Carol in the audience?
BE STILL MY HEART
Carol, my heart is full of love for you. Do you know the gift you've given me & millions of others? Thank you!
Ahhhhh go Julie singing. Watching Carol cry when bernadette starts singing is priceless.
So hysterically funny to see all these talented women do their spoofs, and so deeply moving to see Bernadette Peters' beautiful performance of the charwoman. Wonderful tribute! I so wish Part I was still available here.
How on earth did I miss this until now!!!OMG so much fun I cried.
Harvey and Tim. It doesn't get any better than that.
so nostalgic!!! wow this was so very emotional brought tears to my eyes!
aw i started crying towards the end! julie and carol were best friends and to have her come out as scarlet was priceless. bernadette peters was great too. caro will always be one of my favorite people
Ya can't top that. So much star and heart power.
Bravo to all the ladies. Bravo to Carol!
I loved seeing the Bushes next to her. It is befitting our nation that POTUS and Flotus be present for such events unlike the dirt bags presently in WH.
Lovely and Fitting tribute for an American Treasure! Carol Burnett!
I wonder what it must feel like to watch your characters come to life like this and be honored in such a way...it must be indescribable!
This made me cry...
Carol is such a wonderful performer and a great lady too...
Wow a perfect tribute to Carol ❤️😊, I got emotional, imagine how she felt lol 😊❤️❤️❤️❤️
i love how they all come out in her costumes xD
I'm not crying, this is fine.
Best response. Perfect.
I miss Harvey Korman!

I think arts funding in general has been cut. How sad!
Cher? Ugg. Glad the budget was small on that one. She had about two songs worth hearing in her entire "career".
Unfortunately when during Judy Garland's time there was no Kennedy Center Honors. It was not established until the 70s & they don't give them posthumously. But it would have been great.
I AGREE...
Such immense talent!👍🏻
We all forget that many a TV or film "star" started life in the theatre especially musical theatre!
I love Gary Beach. His legs looks beautiful! Bernadette....aw, Carol's face.
OMG! Even though she lost her voice (Julie Andrews) due to the surgery, she still sounds amazing!!!!
When Gary Beach comes on singing.....XD He makes everything he does both hilarious and adorable! I'ma gonna explode!
Oh this is amazing I love how Julie got in on it with Harvey and tim I’m sad that vicki didn’t get to dress up ahah but this is amazing...... okie I cried when they all did the ear tug
Harvey Korman... STAAAAaaaaAAaAAar!
Brilliant !!! Thanks :-)))
Comical genius. Thanks Carol from women everywhere!!!
Who didn't get a little verklempt watching this?
omg when they all tugged their ears...so sweet ;)
omg that was awesome. i'd never seen this, thank you for posting it!
When they start singing "I'm glad we had this time together", it sounds like Carol is dying.
@bookwormpianist Can you imagine the kind of tribute they would giver her? It would be incredible. I'm waiting for the day they give Debbie Reynolds, Liza Minnelli, Bernadette Peters, Mary Tyler Moore and Dick Van Dyke their tributes!
he's been on Broadway a few times already. Tom Wopat too.
that is her...peters was playing a character carol used to be

This is the first time I heard Scott Bacula sing. Who knew?
I think Phyllis Diller deserves a kennedy center honor she was the FIRST female stand-up comidienne.
Cried at Julie singing.....this was after her voice injury.
LOVE her face "CHITA!!!!!!" LMAO!
Ah, Carol's old partner in crime Harvey Korman's there.
I did that once at Comic-Con.
@squeaky00 and oddly enough they did great! I'm shocked as well. Though I do know John is a trained dancer. Perhaps he was on Broadway at sometime?

Good question. It had been posted to TH-cam as well, and I'm really sorry to see it removed. Julie Andrews hosted the intro.

does anyone know why she cries when Bernadette sings?

Too late for Debbie but Liza deserves this honor, absolutely...

Art crosses all hearts!

Nu
One of the worst opening acts in the history of television.
