MF DOOM is absolutely the greatest to ever do it. El-P is a monster in his own right. The whole series of interviews with EL-P you did was dope, and all 3 seasons have been incredible.

I still remember I was about to go out to dinner with my kids and lady and I read the news he departed, I was stuck in my tracks and must have had a shocked look on my face as my 19yr old daughter asked me what was wrong. I told her MF DOOM had died, she was a bit wowed as she knew he was my favorite artist and knew a fair bit about him from me and her own research. The epitome of dope MC.

DOOM's attempt to be shielded, protected, elusive and away from us is maybe exactly what made us feel like we knew him. behaving the way he did after everything he went through is so relatable. and coming back as MF DOOM is something we all wish we could do after terrible adversity-those of us who've experienced crushing loss probably wish we could use that, the greatest hurts in our lives, to transform ourselves into something monstrous and powerful, but most of all, impervious.
i felt like i knew him too. it's been a couple of years now and... well, you know how it is.

Without a doubt, a true hip hop legend: MF DOOM. Also, Ramellzee and Kool Keith who I believe to be MF Doom’s spiritual kinfolk. Authentic metropolitan New York flavor.

before his death and well after I listened to his music everyday. Finding out exactly how he died made me even sadder. There is a hole in hip hop that will NEVER be filled.

I still remember the day I coped his first release as Doom the single dead bent/ gas drawls at fat beats NYC it had just come out a few days before. I got doubles of that and doubles of cage Radiohead/Agent orange single that day as well, another absolute classic.

Honestly. It would make me happy to think that Doom faked his death and he is just lying low and living life with his wife and kids. However, there is also the possibility that he did pass away. Regardless, RIP to the fullest.
