About Dead End Hip Hop:
No scripts. It's pure unfiltered hip hop conversations and album reviews. No politics. No BS. We Are The People. - เพลง
Please don’t do Mobb Deep vs OutKast. Myke is right that is a pointless battle. I think Gang Starr would be a better opponent for Mobb Deep.
exactly
Monb Deep vs MOP
Tribe vs Outkast would be a better battle
Agreed. Please scrap this. I'm a huge Mobb fan, and this is just setting them up to get embarrassed. Someone in DEHH needs to make an executive decision here. Gangstarr wouldn't be bad. Naughty by Nature would be good.
The battle Is stupid lol .....
I feel like the El/DOOM matchup is going to be a lot more cordial because there's a lot more mutual respect between fans there. Like, while there are some DOOM or RTJ fans who probably aren't deep enough into hip-hop to know the other's back catalogue well, the people who are, will, and there's an understanding that even if you prefer one by a wide margin, the other is still a legend in his own right. Or at least I should hope so…
This guy DEFINITELY get. That’s why I think this is gonna be a lot of fun! I’m looking forward to it.
yeah I grew up listening to both DOOM and El P and all those other underground rappers back then so to me i dont really compare them. And I mean DOOM and El have completely different styles. I love El Ps solo albums and all DOOMs stuff from the 2000s but listening to them they are completely different music in a lot of ways lol Els solo albums are more out there wild stuff with all kinda electronics and shit while DOOM's stuff was mostly sample based.
Seeing Myke wear a colour that isn’t black is like seeing an B&W TV show in colour. It’s jarring… lol
I think Aesop vs El P would've been a more even match but DOOM is good too
DOOM quite easily for me
Some of MF DOOM’s Best Lyrics..
“The Rest is Empty with No Brain but the Clever Nerd,
The Best MC with No Chain you ever Heard”
- Figaro
“Retarded in Real Life, On the Mic Rain Man”
- ?
“Catch a throatful from the fire vocal
Ash and molten glass like Eyjafjallajökull”
- Guv’nor
“Only in America could you find a way to earn a healthy buck and still keep your attitude on self destruct”
- Rhymes Like Dimes
“what up?
To all rappers, shut up.
While you shutting up, keep a shirt on,
At least a button up.
Yuck... Is they rhymers or stripping males?
Outta work jerks, since they shut down chippendales.
Chipping nails,
DOOM - tipping scales,
Let alone the preorders, that's counted off shipping sales,
This one goes out to all my people skipping bail,
Dipping jail, whipping tail, and sipping ale”
- Beef Rapp
“One for the money, two for the better green
3-4-methylenedioxymethamphetamine
Told the knock kneed ghetto queen get the head fiend
Tell him it's for Medallin and use oxcyocetaline”
- All Outta Ale
“Already woke, spared a joke, barely spoke, rarely smoke
Stared at folks when properly provoked, mirror broke
Here, share strawberry morning, gone an more important spawning
Torn in, poor men sworn in
Cornish hens switching positions, auditioning morticians
Saw it in a vision, ignoring prison
Ignoramuses enlist and sound dumb
Found 'em drowned in cow's dung, crowns flung”
- THAT’S THAT
“Do not stand still, boast yo' skills
Close but no krills, toast for po' nils, post no bills
Coast to coast Joe Shmoe's flows ill, go chill
Not supposed to overdose No-Doz pills”
- Figaro
“Goony goo goo, loony cuckoo
Like Gary Gnu off New Zoo Revue, but who knew
The mask had a loose screw? Hell, could hardly tell
Had to tighten it up like the Drells and Archie Bell”
- Rhinestone Cowboy
“I used to cop a lot but never copped no drop
Hold mics like pony tails tied in bobbalobs
Stop and stick around, come through and dig the sound
Of the fly brown 6-0 sicko psycho who throws his d**k around”
- Doomsday
Just gonna leave this comment here to save this for quick reference cuz my memory is bad
@@NdyCoder same
OK, so that Rain Man bar is corny as fuck, but the rest here slap, and that Eyjafjallajökull one? God-tier. Requiescat in pace, king.
@@ConvincingPeople
“Retarded in real life, on the mic Rain Man
Stand close to his main man like a chain gang
Who give a fuck about who or they fancy crew
That's no mystery, like Hardy Boys do with Nancy Drew”
- ?
How’s that?
@@vb2388 Point taken! That's the thing about DOOM, though, and El for that matter: A line can seem kind of whack out of context, but each bar builds and interconnects to form a whole with a lot more going on, and when you see that context, that's when you go, "Daaaaamn."
This is closer than Lupe vs Royce imo. Both Doom and EL-P are all time greats with diverse discography’s
Somehow I feel different, I might be wrong of course. I mean, sure, if we consider the RTJ stuff then El-P might have a chance but strictly solo I doubt it. I feel like DOOMs sound is more appealing and easier to get into for a lot of people and the music feels like totally different.
Again, both are legends but if we exclude RTJ then DOOM just has a lot more hits, to say it simple.
For me this is close only theoretically, but I don't see El-P win here. Will be a great show though, really lookin forward.
@@PakRT84 Yeah I personally like El-P more but his music is hard to get into and I see DOOM winning easily
El-Ps cancer 4 cure is an incredible album and funcrusher plus is mad slept on but still gotta go with doom
El-P is a monster and an underrated killer, but DOOM is just an alien from out of space (literally lol he’s also King Geedorah). DOOM takes it, no question for me.
That's the hard part of watching these battles. I don't care if I've heard a track before or not, if it's hard...it's hard. The problem is I don't think people can be subjective and take their fandom out of it.
No matter how hard people try they will cling onto dear life onto something if they believe it to be true, EVEN if it's quite clearly not. That's when the delusion takes over.
@@bigzy8183 I like them both I like el more I'm not delusional it's just my taste and my opinion.
Calling people who don't support your personal opinion is delusional.
This channel's production quality has improved so much over the years! God, this channel deserves more than it gets. Love, keep up the hard work gentlemen.
It's DOOM. But El-P has piles of good songs that fly straight under the radar, really pulls his weight on RTJ and bounces off Mike so well. Kills on his solo shit too.
They’re completely different vibes in my eyes, lyrically and production wise. I respect DOOM’s craft more but El-P just does something specific for me that I vibe with. Both legends tho
Plus doom was apart of el-p's label
If we're judging by just rhymes, DOOM wins.
If we're judging by beats AND lyrics.. this is actually extremely tight.
The only right answer
no its not. EL=P has him on the whole package
ack like Metal Fingers aint got heat
Lemme just say that I love this segment even more than Odd Fridays. Props to everybody associated to Dead End!
I appreciate the quality of this channel word is bond!
nice seeing you guys excited for this! gets me excited too
This was the best Odd Friday so far!!! Back to back bangaz!!
We fuck with y’all heavy you deserve our money real shit been rocking with y’all for years. Huge impact on our lives 🤝✊🏾
Got that promotion at work and a new schedule, and I can actually watch live now. Can't wait for the DOOM vs. El P!
People here are sleeping on El-P’s catalogue
I’ve listened to everything he’s put out counting the funcrusher albums and still gotta go with doom
I love Company Flow and El-P, but this is DOOM we're talking about.
I think in the end DOOM is just more appealing and people love his sound more. Objectively speakin I can see why this is close but on a personal level it isn't close for me. They both are geniuses, that is true. I just think DOOMs sound is more appealing in general, especially to a more traditional crowd.
@@PakRT84 bang on
@@samuelprototype that’s fair and I’m putting my money on doom too. I’m just saying that El-p has much more of a fighting chance than ppl realize.
Tough, but I don't really try to compare the two at all. They're both different vibes and I get different things that the other doesn't have and that's cool, but honestly if I had to choose obviously DOOM would be the one. That guy was just from an entirely different planet.
myke you gotta treat this like a battle and bring your backpacker friends to hype you up and hold down the chat
this feels like old school DEHH, more videos like these please
This is gonna be an iconic battle!! Looking forward to this!!! I'm going DOOM all day though, the goat himself can't be beat, Rest In Power!!! El-P has mad tracks though, so it'll be really close!
Y’all should have a conversation about the Royce Da 5’9 and Lupe battle
Came here and thought that’s what they were talking about lol not a versus battle they did
Both absolute legends, tough pick.
Myke please make a Lurker of Chalice review, love your shirt
Those diss tracks just dropped... y'all better tell Royce to leave Lupe tf alone.
3:45 THANK YOU Myke. I've been saying this from the beginning about the live battle chat and voters...a lot of stans and biased fanboys who don't have well rounded knowledge of hip hop.
I say doom but people really sleep on El-P lyrically. He's more known for his beats but guy has the craziest and arguably some of the most dense lines in Hip Hop. His concepts alone for songs get so deep and crazy... Underground hiphop hall of famer for sure. BTW I'm subscribing specifically for this battle!!
This is such a good match up to me and two of my favourite mcs who are unbelievably underrated by the public! Doom has a way of putting words together that makes him special and El P has punchlines that just fly over everyone's heads on a regular basis which is why he's a perfect partner for Killer Mike to me. I give it to DOOM but its closer than people think
“Yo boom”… Myke’s hilarious
Obviously I'm biased, but I think DOOM is so unique top to bottom that you HAVE to give it to him. El-P is incredible, but DOOM is legendary.
Y’all should take the money from the next superchats to get Beezy some turntables to really spin the music for the pre/post show, that’ll add a good element to the whole environment
DOOM. Easily
I was giving Royce his praise. I'm a Lupe diehard and was super in the chat. A lot of dudes bugging with the Royce slander. The thing is Royce doesn't have a active online fan base. Lu has been on the internet stuff and his stans are some of the strongest small core. I had it 8-5 on my voting.
Yea some of those voting results were crazy
Yeah I think what you said sums it up for the most part. Not to mention that Lupe fans typically hold him on the most pretentious of pedestals. Sometimes they act like Lupe invented the genre.
@@ThatsHipHop4Yaaa This is true & didn't realize how bad it was until recently, almost as bad as Eminem stans.
@@ThatsHipHop4Yaaa lol yeah I feel that for sure. Fans can be toxic. As much as I love the format for the channel I hate how it brings out the worst in fan bases. Like enjoy the music. I always feel weird ranking/voting on art.
@@Man_eee nah Em fans are still next level. There's literally whole channels to this on TH-cam where dudes just slobber his sack. To me Em fans, Ye Fans, and Jay Z fans are top 3 worst for me.
people sleep on el’s solo records man.
El-P is better imo but DOOM has such a strong following among young hip hop fans I don't see El winning
Stepfather Factory… that song was ridiculous the first time I heard it
@@willtactix if they don’t play that joint i’ll lose it
@@blackvogue idk im not a huge fan of either but for me I look at El-P's production and voice and it all comes together for me, especially on the RTJ albums. DOOM to me his music just sounds like it smells bad or some shit. And yeah El also drops the r slur what feels like every song lol.
Doom as a lyricist, El as a producer/album artist. Imagine what could have been if El produced a Doom album?
Awww man, that'd have been incredible!
I hope it’d be more lively than when EL-P game beats to Del. To me, the Viktor Vaughn music shows how DOOM might sound on EL-P beats
there's an old El produced track called fondle em fossils with DOOM on it. Personally theyre both probably in my top 3 favorite artists but idk if their styles mesh well
excited to see how myke shows out
In retrospect, starting Lupe v. Royce off with a "The Show Goes On" or similar would have been hilaaaaaarious haha
all in on this one. two of my personal GOATs
Myke and EL-P fans we gotta come through and support !!!!😭
Love EL-P but it’s so hard to put anyone up against Doom. MF Doom is such a unique artist
This is HARD, El-P's solo stuff is harder to get into imo but if it clicks for you I think it's some of the best and most experimental hip hop you can get into especially for it's time. That being said that run DOOM had from like, even KMD straight through to about 05 is one of the best runs a rapper has ever had. I've got a bias towards El-P because ISWYD is one of my favourite albums of all time but I still might take DOOM.
Very well said.
Myke gon be steaming with them comments on Friday
Cage vs Atmosphere would be dope
Btw its DOOM all day
I like El-P, but I think DOOM is just a lil too smooth.
This is going to be dope
Is it only El-P rapped tracks or produced also?
Fire in which you Burn is a the strategic track to play for EL. Gotta use that song in the right spot.
they both so damn legendaryyyyy
aye Feefo came through. he brought it back with that last battle. props. i had beezy with 6 and feefo with 7. super close battle imo. it should not have been that one sided.
I would really love to see a 50 cent battle.. but who would be a good opponent for fif ?
Maaaaan, the bars on Boom are fantastic, but if you telling me youre bobbing your head to that beat, ionno if i can agree with that stance lol
From El-P: 2 from Company Flow, 2 from El solo, El's Last Huzzah feature, and the rest RTJ (in terms of best chance to win).
It would be nice if you guys could put the songs that were featured in the battle in the description. That way we could find new stuff.
Funcrusher plus, cold vein, rtj2 got so many hits y’all better not forget about
Myke gotta play patriotism. DOOM my favorite of all time but El is a monster and can go toe to toe. Patriotism is top 3 El songs though.
This is the matchup I’ve been waiting for! Both El and DOOM are on my upper echelon of rappers. Personally, I’d say El should win, however, I think DOOM will end up taking it. Myke gotta hit em with 7700 years and We’re Still Standing Here
Wow Feefo's beard is becoming cohesive
You could play "Ox Out The Cage" off of the Cold vein. That has an EL-P verse on it
"Boom" is a winner
As someone who stopped caring about Royce in 2003, BOOM still my favorite Royce joint.
I wish I did an EL-P versus who ever battle. I would Murk it. I easy already made a 13+ track list of all his bangers off the top of my dome. That shit would be mad fun!
They was hating hard. I loved Bad Meets Evil. First Joint on that album was heat
I have this debate with myself at least once a month
Does anyone have the track list? I can’t find it on Patreon
Y’all should do producers Odd Fridays too.
Suggestions:
DJ Premier VS Havoc (Mobb Deep)
DJ Premier VS J Dilla
Timbaland VS Pharrell/Neptunes
Timbaland VS Scott Storch
Dr. Dre VS DJ Quik
Mike WiLL Made-It VS Metro Boomin
The Alchemist VS 9th Wonder
Shawty Redd VS Drumma Boy
Yeh I could go on tbh
If I was picking all those here would be my winners. Havoc, J Dilla, Pharrell/Neptune’s, Timbaland, Dr. Dre. Metro Boomin, Alchemist, Shawty Redd.
Dj premier is probably better than Havoc but that one is personal preference and Pharrell/Neptunes wins solely off influence even though timbaland is better imo
I don’t feel like the DEHH fans don’t know hip hop. I feel like the DEHH peeps that can take the time to watch the show live would be of a younger less experienced listener.
I'm a younger fan I'm 16, I love both artists I feel like people where tripping. I was arguing with someone that said Boom was wack, I thought it was going to be close like 8 to 5.
I just had an audible reaction to the DOOM vs El-P match-up... Damn, this is gonna be TOUGH
Also, Royce should have won that last one. I didn't feel all of Beezy's choices that day but that's fine (and Royce is in my top 5 and I know each and every song, please don't confuse me with the unfamiliars). I love the showmanship and enjoy all the streaming you've been doing lately!
Good matchup 👍
The thumbnail was my expression seeing the title, hahaha! I love El-P and massively respect him, but I can't compare anyone to MF DOOM.
Man this should be a good one, I could go either way
Beezy needed to play some Bar Exam 4 joints
DOOM could go up aganist pretty much anybody in Hip Hop with his catalogue of hits. Easy win for DOOM imho!
Y’all should do OutKast vs Wu Tang
OutKast easily
I was the guy who didn't know boom lol. Meant no disrespect, but that song was way before my era. I guess the bright side is, at least I learnt about a new Royce song.
I been sayin y’all gotta do that Vince Staples vs Schoolboy Q
outkast vs wu-tang is the best play tbh
If it’s one like this, it’s pretty much songs some of us have never heard VS. Lupe songs we all know. It’s hard to be convinced to vote against a song you love by a song you haven’t heard before. I feel EL P might get the Royce treatment 😭
I loved that Royce & Lupe Odd Friday. Feefo ain't even dig into some of the Lupe fire fire like Put You On Game, Switch (Science Project). Royce definitely needed more respect out here. Idk how people ain't know Boom. For me personally idc about hits. I listen to lyrics, rhyming ability, and song writing ability. That definitely should've been way closer than it was.
Y’all should do UGK vs OutKast instead of mobb deep
Watched the replay and was shocked how it wasn't so close. I'm a Lupe stan through & through, but the disrespect aimed at Royce was ridiculous (seriously, "Gun Harmonizing" is "trash" - get outta here!). Every time I thought it was close from a choice perspective it turned out to be a blowout. As for the next, gotta go with DOOM even though El-P's discography is highly underrated.
DOOM and El-P are both in my top 5 of best producers of all time. This a good match up.
The battle was close TO ME
Modest you trippin
In these versus, people go by most recognizable song
i think myke talking about me, i was trolling the hell out of royce fans like crazy
It's weird because I tend to prefer El-P over DOOM but I don't see how you can sit and play a playlist of El-P and expect it to compete with DOOM. Like that What Had Happened Was podcast was the one thing that influenced me to try again when I failed my college course this year, and discovering his solo material got me into writing science fiction short stories, but how the hell are you gonna sit and stick on something like Stepfather Factory and then get met with Gazillion Ear and then expect anyone to vote for Stepfather Factory after one glancing listen to it. I think it's got to be a stomp
Agreed
Damn, the last 2 battles stayed available on TH-cam for a lil while, but this one has already been taken off
Myke played some EL-P bangers, but I felt like he missed some gems. Like “Last Good Sleep”, “Step Father Factory”, “Dead Disney”, and I don’t care if it was a diss track or not he should had played “Linda Trip” that would have taken the cake, the battle was dope but with Myke only playing some single verses of EL-P verses full songs from DOOM it’s hard to compete. At the end it was still very dope! Oh and I would have played “Tunes Mass Damper”. “My name is El-P, I produce and I rap to”. That would had been dope for the “un-educated” people there who were not educated much on EL-P.
Y’all should review Royce vs Lupe diss
lmaoooooooooo I NEED TO SEE A K. grandad might be cool with 200 or 300 but i need the K
Now yall gotta do Royce v Lupe
They did lmao
Lmaooo
that's all they talked about in this video lol
I did think that we needed a song where Royce told more of a story like Power, but I can't really hate on Beezy's choices otherwise. Don't think my choices would have won instead with the voters.
I like El-P but DOOM is my favorite so I gotta roll with Beezy.
this ain't fair. its not a fight. DOOM. And I LOVE El-P, not specifically the RTJ stuff either.
They’re two of the most consistent rappers ever that’s for sure
El easily for me. Listened shorter than DOOM, but his albums and lyrics instantly meant so much to me, both really amazing artists across such a long careers though
I fucks with both
DOOM has plenty of classics, such as Madvillainy, Operation Doomsday, MM FOOD, Vaudeville Villain, and even the underrated Born like this album
Mike gotta play 7700 Years To Date tho!
Outkast vs Eminem!
Doom gonna win 💯
