I go through 2-3 MP10 wet sides a year because the ceramic breaks. Would be great if you could try a DMP wet side with one. Perhaps it could be a better cost effective replacement
Unfortunately, I don’t have any VorTechs on hand. A friend sent the wetside. Also, Jebao doesn’t yet offer wetsides only. You’d have to buy a full unit. I’ve pressured them to get going with wetside replacements. We’ll see.
Odd manufacturing hiccup. No, I wouldn’t send it back, because I’m positive I wouldn’t open it up to try to repair it, I’d just buy another. But that’s just me personally.
They won’t. EcoTech somehow re-upped their patent for another 10 years. 30 years of patent exclusivity for a product they refuse to innovate on. And you’ll get 10 more after that, probably. Strap in.
@@kalamazoo_reefer they can keep them. I had an MP20 back in the day had MP10's and MP40's. The MP10's now cost as much as the MP40's I bought new in 2020. On my new tank setup I have an DMP10 and a DMP 20 on the way. Fan boys can keep paying the Ecotech Tax
Could you do a mp40, that is s the most prominent one that is used. My mp40s all make noise and everything make noise. Unless your tank is in your bedroom, you should not care.
You are performing a TREMENDOUS SERVICE to us budget reefers. Thanks so much!!!!!
Doing my best, friend. Comments like this keep me going. I truly appreciate it.
thanks !
Could you do the opposite pls? 😊 Mp dry side with dmp wets. Thx greets from Germany
I would, but I don’t own a VorTech. This wetside was borrowed.

Noise difference possibility: could be from glass thickness; where and how the magnets sit in the fields.
@@kcleven Very true.
What about the other way round?
@@sandreouwu I have no VorTech available to test that.
Would you return a unit that came with stripped screws on the dry side?

@ unfortunately, I sent it back. Hopefully they’re able to sell them on amazon eventually

Right there with you, my friend. It’s a joke. Absolute robbery.

I address the MP40 situation in the video.
MP10 wetside is straight garbage . The bigger vortech have better wetside
@@Malick_ibn_dinar Possible. Never had an MP40, but did run MP10’s. They did not impress me.
