    Ingredients:
    1. 1 cup whole ragi
    2. 1 cup idli rice
    3. 1/2 cup urad dal
    4. Salt to taste
    5. Water for soaking and grinding
    6. 1/2 teaspoon baking soda (optional)
    7. Oil or ghee for greasing idli molds
    Process:
    1. Wash and soak whole ragi and idli rice separately in water for about 6 hours.
    2. After soaking, grind the ragi and idli rice together into a smooth batter. Add water as needed.
    3. Separately, grind urad dal into a smooth batter.
    4. Combine the urad dal batter with the ragi-idli rice batter. Mix well.
    5. Add salt and let the batter ferment overnight or for at least 8 hours.
    6. Before making idlis, mix the batter thoroughly. Add baking soda if you prefer fluffier idlis.
    7. Grease idli molds with oil or ghee and pour the batter into each mold.
    8. Steam the idlis for 12-15 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
    9. Allow them to cool slightly before removing from the molds.
    Serve the ragi idlis with your choice of chutney for a wholesome and nutritious meal, perfect for 5-6 people.
