Flushed Away DS - any% Speedrun in

Friendship ended with Charlie Wu. Ice is nice.
This run utilizes the Ice Slinger. Instead of taking your 580 quid to Charlie Wu to gain access to The Gauntlet (which is a mission that in turn grants the Jump ability to the boat), we instead accumulate 600 quid to purchase the Ice Slinger (upgraded cannon for the boat) from Socketset. Although you’re intended to have the Jump ability in The Water Plant as the damaging cans are unavoidable otherwise, we can brute force our way through the level with the Ice Slinger, defeating Whitey and Spike before we are defeated from the cans. Since we skip The Gauntlet and trekking to Charlie Wu, this route saves about 3 minutes from the former.
Now the question is: can we beat The Water Plant without jumping and only with the Puff Slinger? The Puff Slinger is the cannon the Jammy Dodger is already equipped with, which you see used in The Getaway. It sucks: slow shooting, weak damage, slow recharge, small hitbox. However, if we can get by with just the Puff Slinger, then we don’t need to grind for money at all, which will end up saving about 7 minutes. I’m not entirely sure about its feasibility, but if it is possible, it’ll be tight. Here’s hoping.
