Idk i think if byleth is on the side of the people that put her life in danger in the first place, then that life debt is cancelled. Like oh you saved my life from who? Your own guys? Oh you joined after finding out they were responsible? Nah i owe you NOTHING
This one is conflicting in a sense for one it's great Flayn does use a life debt to dictate her life I personally wouldn't want that but I feel Flayn should at least stick with the Byleth hear him and Edelgard out especially about the real enemy they are after
Honestly, I would’ve loved to see the BESF raid Shambhala in the Crimson Flower Route, and Seteth + Flayn pull a SS/VW Dedue and meet with you as an ally in the middle of the mission.
The real enemy is the TWSITD and Edelgard is too dumb to disclosed this information form the church or her allies who bet their lives on her stupid crap. because she was too brainwashed to think that all her suffering was because of the church when in reality it was Thales and his goons who is responsible for the suffering of the imperial family.
Well Flayn, it was blindly follow Rhea’s orders knowing there was a lot more going on, or at least try and get an explanation out of Edelgard. Not my fault Rhea took me not wanting to kill a potential source of information and badly needed answers as the worst heresy imaginable, start shrieking at me like I’m not even a person then turn into a dragon and try to kill me…. So excuse me for trying to approach this with measured care and reason, but Rhea’s on a hair trigger at best.
It was fairly obviously a choice between those two characters, and Byleth clearly goes to Edelgard’s side to protect her. It’s not like Rhea got mad just because you wanted to take a hostage.
@@AshenDust_ oh that was my out of universe logic as the player for the most part. Though to be honest Byleth’s defection is based on knowing that there has to be more going on and having lost faith in Rhea’s leadership, along with just care for Edelgard.
I don't think she follows blindly, she truly believed in the Saints and Seiros and the church teachings because she's one of them, she's a witness to it all. The last nutcase roaming around preaching freedom murdered her family, so it's understandable the side she chose. You joined the girl responsible for your father's death, aren't you following Edelgard blindly?
@@welon17 not really, it’s made pretty clear Edelgard was not onboard with killing Jeralt and Byleth has enough reason at this point to know something fishy is going on that just killing Edelgard outright means Byleth will neither get answers and is just killing another victim of those who killed her father who basically told her twice not to trust Rhea.
Here's the thing... After Remire, Edelgard figures Byleth can't be turned to her side. She is surprised when you choose her over Rhea. Jeralt dying by Kronya's hands is not something she'd prevent even if she had the means to stop it. He's a formidable warrior serving Rhea who Edelgard is going to war with. His being Byleth's father might make her regret doing it, but if she has to cut him/Byleth down for her brighter tomorrow for Fodlan, she'll do it.
The fact that you have to fight Flyan and possibly kill her in Crimson flower is enough reason not to play that route. That route is just the "Bad guy perspective" nothing more.
The fact that you even got the rare extra damage from crest of flames + a crit on combat art it was just simply overlill that shit was personal.
Ok, now spare Seteth for maximum emotional damage.
Should’ve stuck with the professor flayn

A year ago I had no idea what Gut’s theme was. I am now a weeb. And this game is fucking awesome I’ve been playing since release
