Hi, what‘s the purpose of the 2 metalstripes glued to the battery? Is it absolutely mandatory to put them also on the replacement battery as you are doing in the video?
@@gerdsfargen6687 Frankly I do not know but while changing my battery with the instructions of this video it turned out that the stripes could be removed without issue from the old battery and I just put them at the same place of the new battery.

cheers you should see a small model number on the battery, most i see have HT03XL, yours might have something different but i would recommend to buy somewhere local with warranty incase the battery is a dud
What capacity do you recommend? All the batteries i've seen have a capacity of 41.9Wh or around 3400 mAh but when I searched up a good capacity it was above 4000mAh which I cant find anywhere. Also do you think its worth to upgrade the RAM?
Ive done this and now my laptop won’t turn on anymore. The model number of the old and new one are identical (HT03XL) and now the light of the charging port wont turn on. And the laptop won’t turn on anymore with the old And the new battery. 😢
I am in Canada and could only find 2 stores that I can order this from - from different countries! This laptop isn't that old; does this indicate it's "temporary" and there won't be batteries available soon???

@@rickstechrepairs Primarily making the storage and ram non-replaceable, making it not possible to upgrade.

I think the metal strip might be relating to a sensor that knows when the screen is fully opened up.
A quick search is telling me they're RF shielding

What were the symptoms the laptop was having to indicate it was a fault with the battery? Asking because mine all of sudden won't charge past 36%. 😭
