I don’t care how powerful it is. Design matters. BMW has shat the bed recently with most of their lineup, but particularly the 2 series. Side profile is boxy and horrendous. I get pushing everything out to the 4 corners, but the headlights and taillights are mal proportioned and incongruent with the rest of the car. Those front inlet angles just make no sense and the center intake looks pasted on.
The steering wheel is dated and looks like out of a family sedan. Sorry to throw shade, but we expect more from BMW and someone’s gotta say it.

Love the design.BMW hit the 240i out of the park. Side profile is one of my favorite of any recent car. Combined with the motor IMO itll be a future classic for BMW. I jave never owned a bmw but that may change once the M2 releases.

@@DavidDiSante as a designer and car enthusiast for over 30 years I would be derelict in my duties if I didn’t point out the design atrocities that BMW are foisting upon buyers as Frank Stephenson and others have done on a much higher platform. I don’t care that there’s a waiting list for these - there would be anyway.
