The old stories are what hooked me years back, even the mrs got into it since jim tells such a great story. Cant enjoy the modern reviews so much now a days, just too much yelling and cussing at times, but i still respect what jim and brian put together each week.
Jim breaks it down so perfectly & sometimes, seemingly, second by second also. Such a great historian & absolute true student to his craft. There's a few who look back to the past like Jim Ross, Tony Shiavone & Dutch Mantell on the respective podcasts, but, nobody does it perfectly like Jim Cornette. Thank you Mr. Cornette for enlightening us & thank you Mr. Last for additional questions & uploading these podcasts. 🙏🏻
I think Jim gifts us with these podcast to strengthen his cognitive resilience. Thank you so much for your continuing contributions to my entertainment and education.
My question is what ever happened to Jerry Calhoun, did he have a day job and referee on the side? Carl Fergie grew up behind my grandfather’s house, his parents rented a house/barn from my grandfather and the house was by the barn lot so he was out there with the animals.
I love picturing " I blew up watching dundee act out the finishes" . Also, this is the first time in 30 years I've heard why Norvell wasn't included in the mid south midnight express. I wonder what kind of a grudge he holds.
I wasn't even one when all this happened, and despite growing up in Statesville, NC, I knew only of WWF. I always love hearing these stories about all the wrestling I knew nothing about until I was in my teens and it was only distant history.
I can understand JC's loyalty to Watts even today...he took a young unproven manager that was barely surviving as the 2nd heel mgr in Memphis and gave him a shot to earn real money
This is probably depicted from when Lawler showed up at tv on Saturday morning with a perm. When he showed up at MSC on Monday night he had attempted to have it straightened

Man. A fucking tv-show about Jim Cornette's experiences and shit. Just saying Jim, this could be big. I don't think I've ever seen a movie or tv-show about the wrestling business. Like this is the best time to do it since everything's already exposed.
I liked this Mr McMahon series. I share a bday w/Vince 8-24. Brian and Corny would run wrestling be the kings of wrestling if they opened their own company
Tony Khan could use Jerry Lawler. Just assign him the task of training wrestlers. Guys under contract who need help and whoever else who might come to Lawler.
I mean that's pretty impressive and that tells me a lot when territories are running a and b shows business was definitely good.. I think it's yes it would take some time but you can bring fans back around pick up new or younger fans and definitely have a good strong territory today.. as long as you can get it on TV or streaming apps today .. trust me I wish they could hit a rest button retrain the talent on how to get over my goodness make wrestling holds moves matter more they need to get out of the business of having to hit your finishing move 30 times once or twice is fine lol

The best story telling on TH-cam
It’s always interesting listening to Jim talk about the old days of wrestling.
Another day going back 40 years with Jim Cornette blessed and cursed to see all from 1980-Now

That would draw as much as Corny in Memphis

Jim Cornette’s Love for Jerry the ‘King’ Lawler and the ‘Nature Boy’ Ric Flair is Admirable
