- Fanatec Clubsport Universal Hub for Xbox Unboxing First impressions - In this video I unbox the Fanatec Clubsport universal hub and also the Fanatec R300 steering wheel, put it together do over the differences between this version and the V2 version and give it a shot on the CSL DD to give you my first impressions.

If u don’t need the clutch paddles I would recommend the magnetic paddle module instead. I like the feel of the mpm better and it’s not nearly as loud as the apm.
I would also recommend checking out the turn r20evo. It can actually be had cheaper than the r300 right now and it is substantially better imho. I love the r300 but the r20evo is just incredible. The r300 sure is beautiful though.

I love it. Lol. Trying to decide between this and the McLaren GT3 v2 wheel.
I use the McLaren GT3 V2 more, build quality is better on the Clubsport universal hub though, I just bought the simmakerz paddle upgrade for the McLaren wheel which should make it feel a bit better
I just got the universal hub v2 with steering wheel with QR1 bundle and i hear loud clicking sound when using it . Is that normal?
Thanks Jason very usefull video, I ordered Csl DD and this the wheel I plan to purchase. Just a little bit worried about the total weight of hub and r300 combo. Do you know the exact weight of it ?

Hey Jason was hoping you would mention if you experienced less force feedback with this wheel compared to the mclaren as i have your setup and was looking at this wheel also
Hey, this was just my first impressions video so there will be a review later which that will be in, but in my limited testing so far I think it probably dampens the force feedback a little, I’ll probably jump into ACC or iRacing and test it out back to back and see , if your running a CSL DD on 8nm, it’ll probably be ok, if at 5nm then it might be a bit much

Came from the v2.5 and had this universal hub and forza rim and lost alot of force so i sold it.
It did have a nice premium feel tho .
Was even thinking of getting the csl hub which is lighter with your new rim,that may work out

I hear the shifters feel pretty bad on the CSL elite hub. The 2 games I really tested this on were probably not great to check for fidelity on this wheel, especially with how high I had the forces set when doing my first impressions, if your in too much of a rush keep tuned in for some more updates on that.
Did you find the CSL DD was much of an upgrade for you coming from that wheelbase?
@@JasonStorm sorry Jase didn't relise you messaged me, yes was a nice upgrade from 2.5 ,not necessarily the forces but the fidelity which was main reason I wanted to upgrade.
Certain games have come to life ,acc ,racerooms new update is fantastic,rfactor also excellent .
Hard to know 100% for sure but i think i am feeling everything more in realtime rather than milliseconds of delay because of the belt.
Have to say tho the v2.5 has been great base.For me the csl dd is a good update .
No rush for your thoughts on that rim,i am waiting for the upgrade qr for our base to see whats going to happen with current rims and if itll be worthwhile upgrading to the new qr2 ,oye and was a little worried about the csl hub shifters. if there dome then there acceptable as that whats on the wrc and to me they have a more tactile feel than my old clubsport universal hub,,cheers mate,thanks for getting back
Hey mate.. an update on the dd issue?
Fanatec have released an update that fixes it and for me it has got much better and I can now get to the tuning menu but screen is still flickering most of the time, I have to talk to fanatec about it
Is really too heavy for a 5nm CSL DD?
