I have a PC at the moment, but after years of dealing with inflated prices and terrible ports...and probably getting older I just want to have a console behind my TV and sit in the living room so I'm waiting for a PS5 Pro to be released.
I have a PC with a 4090 / 13900K / 128GB RAM. I exclusively game on my PS5, it's a way better experience. No need to mess with drivers, settings, bugs... And it's so much better to lay down on the sofa in my media center with 5.1, OLED TV... PC is there for work.
@@lukastemberger I was thinking to switch to pc for the sake of better graphics and frames and was somehow going to bite the bullet of absolute high end cost but I did a lot of research and watched many TH-camrs , most of them said what you did so I decided not to Console is very convenient, since the ps5 launched, graphics and frame are not bad at all and now soon we are getting the pro and it will be a lot cheaper for you to upgrade to pro if you trade in your base ps5 here in Australia
@@sacjohnson1 totally. Gaming is my time to relax, not for messing with stuff. And I love tech, I built many PCs for myself, friends and family... But I just don't want to be bothered when I want to just chill out. Last week I tried Alan Wake 2 on PC because I got it for free when I bought my laptop. It was so much work to get it running just right... And gaming on a keyboard is just not as comfortable as a controller either. I gave up on it. My desktop PC and also laptop with a 4070 are designated for work only.
For sure PS5 Pro will be a rock solid 60fps for GTA 6 whilst everyone else will be 30fps, it will likely have more eye candy too. That's enough for me to get the Pro to play GTA.
@@thatonefoofrumlongbe Not really basing just on that, more that Sony wouldn't release a Pro update that is only a small amount better and the because GTA 6 is such a massive release they will have to make sure the Pro stands out from the existing consoles and doubling the frame rate would do this and is easily possible with a few improvements here and there.
@@seanpitt27 The point is to get that 60fps or better scaling compare to the normal for the people that want that better performance while the base system keeps developers in check on what visuals they can put in a game. They don't want to change everything inside and make it 2x and more powerful because games have to be compatible with the normal system as well so the hardware has to share similarities. On top of that even if they made it 2x and more then you would have a system that you payed the price for such power but hardly use that power because developers can only change resolution and fps and maybe some ray tracing etc, they can't make games made for a much more powerful system because they have to play on normal PS5. So if they made it that powerful and you payed the price for that power you would be displeased. Lastly there is also PS6 and the next generation that is suppose to be the real bigger step in power. If they made the Pro so powerful that is like a new console generation they they invalidate the next generation because if the Pro is so much better then the PS6 will just be a smaller step that it could be.
@@bigboulder So what do you propose? Anyways, is there a strategy? Sure,. But I don't believe it's malice, I think it's just the fact of reality. Most people have consoles because they are cheaper. And for consoles it will be easier to develop initially because of standardized hardware to turn a profit at release. Then they can turn their head towards PCs and tweak the game and boost the graphics and re-release. At the end of the day they're putting out a good product and getting paid for it, and that revenue allows them to make even better products, So as long as they perform (and they do) I'm not going to gripe too much about it.
@@ntme9 A delay for a PC version is a normal thing. like 3-9 Months. But 1-2 years? And from the leak we know the pc version is in development for at least 2 years. This is just not right.
Well I'm a big sucker for PSVR 2; I really, really love it, and VR never can have too much (or even enough) horsepower. So the PS5 Pro is already a day-1 buy for me whenever it will release.
It would be absolutely mega if Rockstar worked with Sony to make an exclusive (maybe timed exclusive until PC release) for the PS5 Pro + PSVR2 + GTA6 version! I doubt the PS5 Pro will have the performance to do it but a PS6 version could be insane in VR!
It looks inline what I would have expect from a pro console. Similar uplift like ps4 pro had to ps4. Same cpu with higher clocks, double GPU performance. It will enable 60fps modes to run and look better. And 30fps mode to have higher fidelity with more RT.
Everything made for the PS5 Pro has to run on the base PS5 as well. That means they can't release games that are CPU bottlenecked on the base PS5. This is mostly a graphics upgrade, functionality will stay the same.
Yeah I know, Like I said its what I expect. not the upgrade I'd want but Its logical that they'd keep it backwards compatible as much as possible, 4Ghz is a solid pump but that's not gonna do wonders as its lacking compared to the destop parts. Still a beast if everyting rumoured is real for the GPU@@lukastemberger
Are you talking the Tempest Engine? If so, that was a repurposed CU designed to work like an SPU from the PS3 days, stripped of cache and is really good for SIMD instructions. The audio for PS5 has nothing to do with the CUs on the GPU from what I have read.
As i said in the PCMR Discord when the trailer dropped THEY NEVER SAID IT WOULD RELEASE ON CURRENT MODELS PRE TRAILER ONLY THAT IT WOULD BE ON CURRENT GEN 🙃 THINGS CHANGE AS WELL WITH TIME
0:30 the best way to play GTA6 at launch should be on PC since the leaked videos from last year show they're developing it and testing it on the PC in Direct12 on 1080's 2060's and 2080's GTA5 launch versions on PS3 and Xbox360 contains logs showing it running on the PC in DirectX11 on mid range specs for the time as well. Will GTA6 be released on PC at launch probably not since that's what Take2 and rockstar have always done since GTA3 but there is proof now though with GTA5 and 6 that the game is up and running on PC with the ports being the console versions.
As I said in my message "Will GTA6 be released on PC at launch probably not since that's what Take2 and rockstar have always done since GTA3 but there is proof now though with GTA5 and 6 that the game is up and running on PC with the ports being the console versions." Also at the start of my message hence "Should" It "Should" be released on PC at launch BUT it won't. because Take2 want to sell it to the same people multiple times since the majority have always bought the same game at least twice.
I'm guessing 60CU (3840 Shaders) x 2230MHz = 17TFLOPs also the max boost clock of the Ryzen 7 3700x is 4.4GHz so It seems Sony is trying to push this CPU to its limits since its probably the weakest link in the PS5 Pro
@@ibrohiem PS5's GPU has the exact same specs as a RX 6700 (non XT) which launched at $400, and the PS5 digital launched at $400 with the disc launching at $500... The 7800XT launched at $500 and is easily available at that price so a PS5 Pro could easily hit $600
Why do you think that 4.4 Ghz is limited to CPU? We ain't talking about old 7nm here but instead 4nm node and it's also monolithic die instead of chiplet which makes CPU/GPU much more efficiency without having to run cross node infinity fabric here. Also unified caching system too, and if GPU specs are true, which is hybrid RDNA3+, if it's with those shaders count. It's going to easily go pass 7800xt if it's not power limited. With New node, they are going to save probably 30%-40% or even more power compared 7800 xt. 7800xt could had been over 3 Ghz GPU If its monolithic die... there is very valid reason why Nvidia is still riding that design instead of going chiplet... at least for consumer.
PS5 Pro will basically be a RX 6800xt with better raytracing paired with a Ryzen 7 3700x. We always hear over inflated specs of new console hardware and they are never true as usual. This is also a half generation console not a PS6.

Start saving for a PC - consoles are pathetic sand boxes where you don't have a freedom of choice and 8 year gap between versions - plenty of time to save and upgrade PC .
It's hard to say. A year is a long time, and you could get alot of enjoyment out of a regular ps5 in the meantime. My advice is if you don't have a 4k tv or monitor, don't bother waiting. The extra power of the ps5 pro will be wasted on anything less than 4k. I'd even personally recommend 120hz on top of that. But if that's what you already have, then yes you could consider waiting if you only want to make that purchase once.
@@Leester-70 Really? How so? I haven't heard of any problems whatsoever in this regard with games between PS4 and PS4 Pro, or Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S (god what a stupid name). @bellissimo4520 Devs will optimize their code for the hardware with the biggest market share first, which would be the older ps5. This won't be an issue for competent devs but some will cut corners and just rely on the better hardware to brute force it rather than spending time and resources to optimize for the newer hardware. Same reason PC ports with much better hardware run like shit.
Gotta say that I have always doubted a PS5 pro, but these specs seem on point to me. That is the perfect amount of performance for true 4K 120hz Forza Horizon 5 at PC extreme graphics quality level, with RT enabled. The RX6800 is a darn amazing card, especially when you get it at a good price, like you were saying about going wide sucks, is why the 6800 is often almost as fast as a 6900XT(with OC obviously, power limit very different) BTW, I have always been under the impression that the RT holdup has always been denoising, not ray count
I don’t know why consoles try to hit the 4k/60 target when it would be much more enjoyable at 1440/80. The fact that the PS5 Pro will only have 16gb of Ram is just disappointing
80fps? Fine if you have a 80hz , 160hz or 320hz display. Any other display at 80fps would be choppy as hell. Adaptive sync is okay but not as good as a natural sync.

@@pennywisethedancingclown7139yeah the gpu is 2-3x the price of the ps5 and will achieve probably 6/7x the power of any PlayStation. Game will be massively enhanced for your high end pcs. The current 4080/4090 are not really being tested yet, so albeit consoles vs a pc performance is night and day, the games are made with console sales in mind then enhanced for the pc.
@ThepurposeofTime That comes with the cost. A complete PC with a 4080 will run circles around a console, I get it. But a complete PS5 Pro comes with everything. A 4080 on its own doesn't do shit lol. PSU? Motherboard? RAM? Storage? Case? CPU? OS? Keyboard and mouse, etc. It was the initial comment that made me laugh. "I'll just stick with the 4080" mmmkay lmao
Whatever the specs are, it should be able to perform 4K at 60fps with RT. The exclusives will most likely achieve that performance, but it would be great if third party games did as well like GTA 6.
No where powerful enough gpu to do native 4K at 60fps and certainly not with any retracing. Got to be on PC for native 4K. A gpu capable to do this is more expensive than the full ps5. Console gamers just don’t get this.

Ps5 will never be more powerful than the series x and never has been some games perform better due to different devs focusing on the ps5 but as you said on paper the series x is more powerful and that will never change, only thing that can be done Is if devs focus on the series x optimization more instead of developing first for the ps5 then porting the game to the sx then downgrading it for the ss

The only console that will be doing 30 fps in GTA 6 will be the Xbox Series S. Everything else will do 60 fps with FSR and the PS5 Pro might do 60 fps without FSR.
Keep dreaming. A Zen 2 CPU which is what all the consoles have, even the PS5 Pro so they won't be able to run GTA 6 at 60 fps. The best you can hope for is 1440p 30fps upscaled to 4k with the PS5 and then native 4k 30 fps with the PS5 Pro
Very unlikely, the CPU would likely still be the bottleneck. I'm hoping that the next gen consoles 2026-2028 (whenever they come) they are a huge priority for next gen
@@TTG2025 ps6 will going full ARM SoC, x86 is a big heat producer, using it at physical limit in silicon nanometric scale is a dumb move, going backward at the ps4-xbox one will be the path to downscale the CPU and heat production, to put a bigger GPU (aka graphics), maybe a NVIDIA SoC, they R&D of it is years ahead from AMD, the problem with silicons right now is heat production, and consoles are very narrow in this.
@@Ricardogs I'm sorry but no, I highly doubt Sony or Microsoft will go with ARM SoCs, and Microsoft has a long memory, they have not forgot all that went down between them and Nvidia in the early 2000s. Besides AMD will price match and I expect big things in the next few years from them, they won't lose the console hardware without a serious fight. If anything, I would expect Sony or Microsoft to look closely at the APUs AMD are putting out, as right now those are some pretty performant parts with only 12CUs at 20-30 watts. I could see a variation of a Strix Point Halo (Sarkak) variant in the next Xbox if it indeed releases in 2026, with a larger GPU and 2nd AI engine for used in AI upscaling and 12 CPU cores vs 16. Consoles, that are not handheld, don't need to run at meager 7-15 watts. 200w in future gaming consoles will be just fine, it might even be a bit less by then, considering that is what a PS5 pulls right now on a relatively large 6nm process.
Think back to 2013. GTA V releases on Sept 17th, approximately 2 months before the PS4/XBox 1. It released on the X360 and PS3 only. Then the following year it released on those newer consoles and 6 months later on the pc. I see GTA 6 releasing eithier April 2025 or Sept 2025. Gut feeling i see Sony releasing the PS5 Pro November of 2025, after the GTA 6 release, much like 2013. That is unless the PS5 Pro releases Nov of 2024, and that's the only way i see a GTA6 release on the PS5 Pro, before 2026.

So he says 1000 times that he doesn't know for sure, and can be wrong, but he's not sure, and he can't confirm anything, all while claiming to have insiders giving him information. So basically the video is pointless because this guy doesn't actually know anything, and admits he doesn't know anything.

I'll be at CES. It would be epic if they announced it there. I could only get a confirmation that PS will be there with new stuff. Could be anything though.
ps6 time limit to launch will be in 2027-2028, maybe a ARM soc with a big GPU, the problem with modern silicon chips is the big heat production at 7nm and lower, so killing x86 will be the choice to gain more raw power and lower heat output.
@dante19890 What do you think happens when a PS5 pro comes out? It's the exact same thing. More hardware to target, means more development time. Which in turn, makes the PS5 is a weaker console to deal with. Do you guys think your comments through or?
@@dante19890exactly! With series S has the lowest target developers need to optimise and spend heck of a lot time because it's weak. Not the same case with ps5. The lowest denominator in PlayStation space and xbox space aren't comparable at all,XSS if fundamentally weak and holding back xbox games.
I mean if we see ps4pro that was not that much improvement over ps4 . So now why sony will give that much improvement over ps5 ( just for GTA6 I don't think so might be) and it's not a ps6 or something like that it's just a pro model. If they stick with zen2 and upgrade gpu it will be same situation as ps4pro it was also cpu limited.
Closer inspection mitigates a lot of the hype to me. Yes it will be a significant upgrade. Looks like roughly between 6800 and 6800XT performance from a distance, with possibly better ray-tracing. That's still decently large to be sure, but it's not the 3-4 times the uplift we saw on the PS4/XOne refreshes. I'm not sure it's worth their time bothering with this at this point in the generation. It may merely prompt MS moving to their next generation sooner. Phil Spender has said they have no plans for a mid-gen refresh, regardless of whether Sony chooses to or not. To me that's a hint that they'd rather just bring in their next gen sooner if that's what's needed...and my guess is their next Xbox APU will likely have X3D going on. That's the sort of thing that could really put a PS5Pro on its heels, and Sony would be in a limited position to do anything about that for a while. Some of what could explain Sony appearing to shift their approach on the GPU end is if AMD is willing to give them a better deal. As we all know, both AMD and Nvidia ended up over-ordering from TSMC as the chip-shortage waned, and AMD may simply need ways to efficiently sell some of that. 6800s were clocked pretty low and as a result they were very power-efficient and cool-running for the performance they made, something Sony's struggled with in the past. TLDR Sony has been pretty shrewd about maintaining profitability with their consoles, and if AMD presents them with a good enough deal, that's probably what they would go with. And now we're at the end of the video and you're saying 1.5-2x performance uplift, which falls in line with the 6800-6800XT levels I was thinking.
A more likely reason Spencer indicates no interest in a mid-gen upgrade is the lack of a reason for it to exist. 4K TV hit big in the midst of the Xbox One/PS4 generation and became a big marketing target. There is nothing that compelling to the non-enthusiast in the current market. High frame rates are a bit esoteric for the casuals. At the same time, devs are still coming to grips with the PS5 and Series X hardware and much ceiling remains to be exploited. A lot of major dev teams have yet to do a truly native current gen game. We're still seeing a lot of releases that were prototyped on the previous gen platforms.
Weird, they wouldn't go with a Lower-Clocked Zen3 or Zen4 based CPU-Core, and get the same performance as a Zen2 based CPU-Core, while saving on Power and Heat. I'd imagine if they replace a 4.3Ghz Zen2 CPU-Core with a 3.5Ghz Zen4 CPU core, it would give the same performance increase wanted while also having newer tech, having lower power and heat, and making the PS5-Pro a sleeker, less cartoonish looking system..I love my games on my PS5, but it's clownish looking.
Zen 2 is more than enough to push 60 to 120 fps depending on resolution and game settings. Cost is the biggest factor. The same with using an advanced node like 5 or 4nm. An 8 core Zen 2 CPU at 4GHz is probably only using 15W maybe less.
3 Shader Engines with 30 WGP total and 3 disabled makes the most sense. That would make is basically the same as Navi 32. Then the backwards compatibility with PS4(Pro)/PS5 still works and the name 'Trinity' fits perfectly.
ZEN 2 on 4nm? I call bullshit. AMD has no high margin customers for ZEN 2 on 4nm. They already have ZEN 4C for high density applications that aren't overly cache sensitive. That means AMD would have to put the cost of porting ZEN 2 to 4nm entirely on Sony. Even if Microsoft was also sharing the cost, this would add a HUGE added expense to creating mid-gen upgrades which have been for prestige rather than profit centers. The PS$ Pro and Xbox One X were relatively low cost projects because the APU of both platforms had already been moved to 16nm. The two upgrade models were modifications building on that die shrink. AMD was already porting their then CPU and GPU architectures to 16nm, so the bulk of the expense didn't fall on the console makers. Once the APUs had gotten their die shrinks, the objective was to created expanded versions applying the greater ceiling on die size the shrink has given them. Sony went with a quick and simple approach. Their main addition to the PS4 APU was doubling the CU count. Turning off the second bank of CUs when necessary made for a straightforward backward compatibility. The Xbox One X took a more involved approach, which is why it trailed by a year but delivered better on its goals. This claimed PS5 Pro spec doesn't follow that pattern or any other rational pattern under the current technical circumstances of the semiconductor business. The 'slim' PS5 was a far more modest die shrink, to the closely compatible TSMC 6nm node. If there is a PS5 Pro in the works, it will also be on this node as so much of the cost is already covered. (It's interesting to consider what could have been done if a die shrink to 4nm for the PS5 was doable at acceptable cost. It could be quite small, similar to a Series S.) I cannot prove this claim spec doesn't exist but there is ample evidence why it doesn't.
With Overdose being built using Xbox cloud gaming technology, Is this technology what Microsoft is relying on to counter PS5 pro Also would 3nm versions the Xbox series chip be enough to counter PS5 pro without cloud support
Zen 4 - 5/RDNA 4 that's custom designed. To get 2X raster this will need to be on TSMC N5, not N6. It's either that or the APU is GIGANTIC. So, only a couple if-thens but first the historical with this X86-64 project which has worked well. The PS5 came out on a brand new RDNA 2 and 1YO Zen 2. RDNA 4 will be brand new but RDNA 4 is already in development and probably even engineering samples have been made. That's LOTS of time for the hardware devs to get a custom APU using RDNA 4 on TSMC N5. It would even be possible for them to get on N4 because Nvidia will be coming off of it. A year from now, right? So, it makes NO SENSE to port Zen 2, which has only been ported to N6 if you even want to call that a port since N6 is a variant of N7. TSMC N5 allows much faster clock speeds as does N4. So, IF AMD gets out Zen 5 early next year, then the PS5 Pro is probably coming out on Zen 5. No reason to use a 2 YO Zen 4. The amount of R&D time will be plenty sufficient to get onto Zen 5 IF it comes out early 2024. Otherwise it's Zen 4. Or, since it's hard to know if this will be based on TSMC N4 or N5, then you could probably say IF it's on N5, it's Zen 4 and IF it's on N4, then it's Zen 5 as long as it comes out early 2024. For the graphics it makes no sense to do a LOT of work to it, basically remaking a graphics architecture from an older product. RDNA 3 doesn't even give 2.5X the RT performance boost over RDNA 2. Ir doesn't make sense for AMD to waste a lot of engineering hours working with Sony on anything other than RDNA 4. If it's TRULY 2.5X RT uplift over RDNA 2 (PS5), that's RDNA 4. It makes ZERO sense economically for it to be anything else. So, consider what happens if Sony releases a PS5 Pro AND it hits the target goals of 2X raster, 2.5X RT, AND it will have AI cores just like RDNA 3/RDNA 4. This will be a bigger seller than the PS5 was. With the continued development of FSR2 and 3, this product will be good enough for that 4K TV. It won't be GREAT, but then consoles never are. It will run 4K @60 fps in many games.
You forgot some thing if they go with ZEN5 and RANA 4 do you know how much it costs?? Probably it will be more than 800$ ( obviously it costs them more than that. They get their majority of income by selling games and subscription services) . I mean they might have gone with max out zen2 and max out RDNA2 graphics at start with ps5 if they wanted to because of pricing they took mid range thighs from AMD . So now how are you thinking that they will get all of those new stuff and make what ? pro version of ps5.

The process node could, but by the end of 2024, different companies are going to be moving onto TSMC N3 so the cost of N4 and N5 won't be the same as it is now, AMD would be a price break on it JUST LIKE they are right now using N7 to make Zen 3 and RDNA 2 which is why AMD can offer both at discounted prices over the last year. So, the die size would be about the same as it is right now because the CPU die space would be smaller but the GPU die space would be bigger.

tbh it doesn't look good, same CPU just clicked to 4.5gh so if you oc yours in the pc you know that this will barely lift the performance, and if you will look at the games which are using CPU then this machine won't be able to deliver stable 60fps lol GTA 6 will stuck at 30 anyway with 1440p , and the thing is that pro is coming just to keep that sweet spot Res, which is 1440p people thinks that this will deliver 4k with flawless 60 while the base Res will be 1440p the difference will be with more visible RT and that's it, that's the purpose of new ps5 to keep up with RT
The performance they need to lift is not really the issue with the CPU across the board. It is the GPU that needs to be upgraded significantly to achieve what I'm assuming Sony is going for, 4k/60fps with RT enabled. Additionally, if you don't believe that a Zen 2 CPU clocked upwards of 25% faster won't pay dividends, well, I think you are mistaken, especially in the few examples that are CPU bound.

Easy language, PS5 pro will be close to RX6800 (non XT) with the same CPU like standard PS5, this console will be good 1440p 60 fps machine. Standard PS5 is close to RX6650XT 1080p gpu. That's why PS5 upscale image from 1080p or lower or max 1440p to 4k in 30 or 60 fps depends of game! Still RDNA2 gpu-s like RX6800XT or RX6950XT will be much faster than PS5 Pro.....
If Sony doesn't get Mesh Shaders and stay with Primitive Shaders that extra power isn't going to amount to much in UE5 games and may still result in worst quality than XSX and that hate will fall right onto developers. Also R* studio head was asked about PS6 and he said wouldn't make much difference at this point so maybe it's 60fps anyway Digital Foundry Alex said you can see FSR1 at play in the trailer so if they lowered the internal red down to 700p like Jedi Survivor and reconstruct to 1440p they can get 60fps plus i think the density of crowds and traffic will be gone by 2025 probably not even hit the polishing phase yet.

@@Ricardogs 5 year cycles are what we need. All games run on x86 and variants of desktop GPUs. We don't need 7-8 year cycles for console hardware. We need shorter cycles, as games will play on both a PS5 and PS6 one just at 30fps most likely. Or, we turn the industry on its head and come out with a console that is set on the CPU side for the better part of the decade and make replacement GPUs for it. Oh wait, that is called a PC. 😉

I don't agree, as 120fps is still the target, these CPUs, especially at 4ghz, should be more than enough for that task. The GPU is where it will count most, if they are truly pushing RT with a pro. Sure, RT is CPU intensive, but 4k/60fps with RT is the target, and _should_ be doable with perhaps some help from fixed hardware AI upscaling.

For sure PS5 Pro will be a rock solid 60fps for GTA 6 whilst everyone else will be 30fps, it will likely have more eye candy too. That's enough for me to get the Pro to play GTA.
There's a lot of doubt on that on Reddit.

If the ps5 pro not a 2 x in power to the original then what’s the point!
@@seanpitt27 The point would be for Sony to make more money.

We don’t need a pro we legit need more games
Think back to 2013. GTA V releases on Sept 17th, approximately 2 months before the PS4/XBox 1.
It released on the X360 and PS3 only.
Then the following year it released on those newer consoles and 6 months later on the pc.
I see GTA 6 releasing eithier April 2025 or Sept 2025.
Gut feeling i see Sony releasing the PS5 Pro November of 2025, after the GTA 6 release, much like 2013.

Depends on when PS6 is slated for otherwise day 1 for me for the pro 👀
2027/2028
ps6 time limit to launch will be in 2027-2028, maybe a ARM soc with a big GPU, the problem with modern silicon chips is the big heat production at 7nm and lower, so killing x86 will be the choice to gain more raw power and lower heat output.

PS fans: The XSS holds the XSX back.
Also PS fans: Wow, the Pro looks great.
You guys 😂
They live in cuckooland 🤣
how are u comparing XSS to a ps5 pro.
The reason why XSS is holding XSX back is it low spec that needs to be targeted.
@dante19890 What do you think happens when a PS5 pro comes out? It's the exact same thing. More hardware to target, means more development time. Which in turn, makes the PS5 is a weaker console to deal with. Do you guys think your comments through or?
@@TTG2025 but ps5 will still be the base target that ps5 pro will improve upon.
Its the opposite with series S
Not exactly because of the cpus was unbelievably old in the consoles of that generation. they will only be 1-2 gens behind the gpu class this time.
More like a 6900xt

An 8 core Zen 2 CPU at 4GHz is probably only using 15W maybe less.

huge win for sony
I heard ps5 pro will still play GTA 6 at 30 fps because of the CPU still Zen 2.
very likely, maybe it will have a 40Hz mode, or the 20% increase in frequency could be enough to squeeze a 60fps mode.
It could be quite small, similar to a Series S.)
I cannot prove this claim spec doesn't exist but there is ample evidence why it doesn't.
With Overdose being built using Xbox cloud gaming technology, Is this technology what Microsoft is relying on to counter PS5 pro
Also would 3nm versions the Xbox series chip be enough to counter PS5 pro without cloud support
I waiting for a pro to get a ps5+vr2 new revision too!
If you want the PS5 Pro to cost $1000 then sure.

The performance they need to lift is not really the issue with the CPU across the board. It is the GPU that needs to be upgraded significantly to achieve what I'm assuming Sony is going for, 4k/60fps with RT enabled. If Sony doesn't get Mesh Shaders and stay with Primitive Shaders that extra power isn't going to amount to much in UE5 games and may still result in worst quality than XSX and that hate will fall right onto developers.
