Is this much oil is better for health?
I made this today for lunch and it was so delicious. I never used to add oil or hot water and both these ingredients made a HUGE difference. Thank you very much and now this is how I will be making ever:) I did grate a small carrot and added and the rest is all as per your recipe.

@@hebbars.kitchen thanks for saving me during this lockdown mam 🙏🏼🙏🏼
I add ragi and soyabean flour to the normal wheat flour to make everyday rotis. Very healthy and nutritious, and doesn't reflect in the taste!
இவளோ ஆயில் போட்ட சக்கரை வந்தவனுக்கு கொல்லுப்பு கூடிரும் too much oil .. sorry for negative comment ....
No views... But 16likes in 30 seconds.. 1st comment😍
Thanks. We didn't have banana leaf but used parchment sheet. It came out nicely.
Ragi rotti...... Oh I live in karnataka... Ragi rotti is so special for people of karnataka....
But we don't do ragi rotti like this...with so much of oil no....we don't prefer this as Karnataka ragi rotti
Yeah I agree... it’s too oily
@@haryacreations417 yeah, I agree but ragi rotti is special.....
Navu jolad rotti tintivi.
Not only in karnataka even Pahari People in Uttrakhand and Himachal can't leave without it. We called it Mandua and use it as a normal flour for making chapatis daily it's traditional food there. But we don't use so much oil. Just Mandua roti with Ghee/butter and Saag(green leafy curry) or only with mint chutney made with himalayan rock salt.
Wow thanks for sharing these healthy and easy recipes for diabetic patients 😍👌👌👌
This much oil..butter.. coconut chutney cannot be diabetic friendly..alternatively you can roast the ragi flour and then prepare the dough..so that roti doesn't require too much oil to get cooked..combo of without coconut added chutneys will be diabetic friendly.. kindly ensure what you post for the people who don't know about proper diet..And am a Dietitian..so I request you to post clearly about diet..thank you
I did not see butter
Oil yes was a little more 👍
Ragi is healthy..
Coconut of that proportion is harmless
If coconut is unhealthy for diabetics, in that case the entire South India would have perished!
Who said that coconut chutney is not diabetic friendly?
Which bloody told
What's your brain is made up of... Grow up.. just reading from the book doesn't mean you are the master.. do some research about coconut you **
Wow awesome recipie I still remember my mother making this due to lockdown my mother stoped preparing this tasty healthy breakfast
Nice recipe..adding drumstick leaves makes more tasty and healthy :)
Too much of oil 😣. Looks yummy but😊

You can Reduce oil
Hello didu..please try thaen mithayi 😘😘
Mam plz can u say y u made holes
😋😋😋
In the second method, how to proceed for next rotis
You'll have to wait until it cools down.
Tip: Put lots of water and it'll cool down within seconds.
Pro Tip: Make Akki rotti that way, it'll taste great.
If Banana leave is not available for the first method itself, U could use a clean cotton fabric, pat the rotti on the cloth and then transfer it to the tava.. Safe and easy to clean..
Instead of banana leaves u can use empty oil covers also
@@jhansirani3607 but in the second method, after the first roti, tawa is hot..How to put next roti
We will get obbatthu paper..in all grocery shops.... Ask once... . U can use that also... ..

how to make milk powder
Ma'am only this recipe is good n specifically healthy if u use less oil... otherwise it is the unhealthiest roti....not recommended for diabetic or anybody else
Adding oil and hot water to the dough really made a difference. The rottis cooked well and were more tastier.
Glad you liked it
How about rolling the dough between two sheets of banana leaves and peeling off the top one....why to do so much of thapad thapad unnecessarily.
This is the one my mom will make weekly 😊😊😊
Toomuch oil
Omg finally she started liking people’s comment.🙏🏼
So much oil is used ...its better to eat a pakora rather then doing such hardwork and fooling yourself that it's healthy.
2nd option me pehle roti tawe pr set ki hai aur bad me gas on ki hai roti tawe pr chipkegi ni?
Gluten free soft ragi roti...😍😍

Ragi Roti on tawa n banana leaf so nice. For 2nd type tawa will be normal temp for first roti but how to do when tawa will be hot at time of putting second ragi roti
Its not healthy for diabetics if so much oil is used..... I think its better if u use non stick tawa

You serve a moon in plate but when I bite it scattered like ⭐stars!
Didn't turn out well, it didn't get cooked well, tried both ways too.
It's too oily , breakfast should be with less oil I feel , that aside it's good , u can use cow ghee for better iron absorption from ragi 😊
😘😘😘nice👌👌👌👌
Ragi has a high Glycemic Index not good for diabetes.
Who is at home and cooking. It surely is me.😂😅
They would be fresh and not like thin one's sold in Karnataka shops .
Would they be bit oily ?
Yes.. they look oily..
@@creativecatstories but looks well cooked I think we must just dab it with cloth
Usha Priya yeah.. we can do that.. may be also reduce the oil poured around the edges and in the middle if it is for Diabetics..
@@creativecatstories also dia or not these days oil contain paraffin
On thick tawa witout heating u hv put d dough but for second chapati shud v use hot tawa
Ragi has high glycemic index. It is not good for diabetes.
Dripping oil?? Oh YEAH VERY HEALTHY 🤮🤢🥴
Oli ekkuva. Use chesthunnara
But too much oil
In way 2.. how to do the second roti... wait till the tawa cool down?????
I like this link for all recipes. But raagi has a unpleasant taste.
Nice but I heard ragi ata is not good for diabetic patient.
Hi di.. we call dis as thalipatti..from belgaum
2 tbs oil for one roti plus 1 tbs butter on top..how can it be healthy??
Good for diabetic ???????'🤭🤭🤭
Sooooooo much oil .
Nice 👍 skinny recipe use Himalaya salt
Itna oil laga kay healthy roti ko unhealthy bhi bana Diya
Love your recipe today I tried golgappa yummm.....,❤️
So much oil and u say it's healthy😂😂😂😂
Really tasty 😋😋
You are awesome. How do you make these delicious foods
Can u use butter paper instead banana leaf?
Yes you can use butter paper as well... i use butter paper also i do not add oil as it releases the butter paper with ease.. very little oil on the tawa cuts a lot of calories that way.. 🙂
@@regenikita thank u so much:)
In method 2 , how will you make the second roti?
Ragi is good..but high in glycemic index if diabetic eat small portions it’s ok. Otherwise it’s going to spike their sugar levels
