    This is example of good teaching. Creating a feel and not a technique that all players can apply in a simple drill. Well done. I’ll be trying it the next time I play.

    Good video and sound advice. Also what I like is that the video is short and direct. Not going for 15 minutes about what we're doing wrong etc etc thanks

    Amazing drill. I've been hitting the ball horribly and did this yesterday at the range. Hit the ball like I was was kid again. This forces you to transition better and stay down and through. Thank you!!

    Lots of repetitive content out there but this drill does seem to be very useful, especially as he noted, before you play. Truly a video for the guys trying to break 100 on any given day.

    Was first shown this at a lesson I had 9 years ago or so - it's a great drill and one I go back to every now and then when I start losing strike. I should probably do it each time I play, as you say! Thanks for the upload

    I've just been down the range and I gave this drill a go. At address it felt so strange because the club face is nowhere near the ball, but you've just got to trust it, and the results were unbelievable. I can't remember the last time I was striking the ball so well? It forces you to push onto that front foot early on because you simply wont hit the ball otherwise. I might just continue playing this way on the golf course lol.

    You the man! I was using this drill especially in the winter when I'm hitting off Matts alot because without this drill first time on grass digging a hole. Also like swinging underneath a alignment stick.

      I'm actually considering doing this as well. I've read that it really helps your takeaway. Also, I've read that it works with the driver, too because of the fact that you need to hit on the upswing anyway. It worked wonders for Moe Norman.

    • @Resnovmasonwoods

      I use this for driver setup having watched another of JC’s videos. At address I keep the club head about 6 inches from the ball. It certainly helps with weight shift. I’ve found that I hit it longer, with less slice.

    • @aaajjworm
      @aaajjworm ปีที่แล้ว

      yep. in Jack Nicklaus's "Golf my Way" he talks about his ball position in line with the left heel with his left foot open a bit if I remember correctly. I can't remember if his driver ball position is forward of his irons or the same position.

  • @stephengoodwin9378

    I tried this drill today at the range and it worked an absolute treat. Just one question though if I may. If I’m getting great ball striking by having the ball forward and club in the middle then should I actually adopt this set up on the course rather than reverting to a standard set up?
