    I was hoping you would try out the pots in the air fryer as part of your comparison test.

    I think the bottom ridge design on the Simply Lyfe being a starburst shape allows for better air flow in and out of each section where as the Wavelu has concentric circles which are all kinda self contained not allowing as much air flow underneath. Great comparison btw!

    Thanks, we, for your research and your insights. They'll surely help me make an informed decision about which silicone pot to purchase for my new Cosori. I appreciate the work you did to bring light to the situation. Very nice.

    The bumps on the side of the waveLu are most likely there to provide some sidewall support. Making the sturdier feel you mention.

    I think the Ribs (Bumps) on the red are there to give a bit more rigidity to the silicone.

    Thank You Man, my airfryer basket is peeling and I am tied of constant cleaning even with air fryer liners. How's the cleanup.

    • @weinthekitchennyc
      @weinthekitchennyc  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I only really clean the air fryer basket for the occasional splatter if it's a really greasy food I'm cooking, or crumbs that may have fallen from something breaded. I just throw the silicone pot in the dishwasher and it cleans well. Washing by hand should be easy too because you can flip the pots inside out in order to get in between the grooves better.

    • @beezalbub7325
      @beezalbub7325 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I'm 98% sure the bulges on the sides of the wavelu are there to provide some rigidity to the sidewall. The more sturdy feel you talked about most likely comes from those.

    Doesn't there need to be space between the Air Fryer liner and the Air Fryer basket on the side to allow proper air flow? If so, how much space does a person really need, to prevent things from overheating? I know that this is probably a strange question, but I'm thinking about purchasing one of the Grey ones for my Air Fryer, and just want to be sure I purchase the correct size.

    • @weinthekitchennyc
      @weinthekitchennyc  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      the way I see it, if the liner reaches the sides of the basket, then the air that is being pushed from the top will only flow inside the liner and through the ridges in the bottom of the liner (still getting under the food). if the liner didn't reach all the way to the sides then the air would pass through and go underneath the liner which, since the food doesn't touch the bottom of the liner (only the ridges), it MAY be a waste

    • @yellowbird500
      @yellowbird500 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      That may be the reason for the ridges on the side of the red silicone container.

    They don't have holes in the bottom though. Does it still cook evenly?

    • @beezalbub7325
      @beezalbub7325 3 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      Parchment needs holes to allow the air to reach the bottom side of the food. These don't require holes since they have the interior ridges the food rests on, allowing air circulation.

    • @moretimeneeded56
      @moretimeneeded56 3 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      I’ve found they don’t cook evenly. I found my one worse than useless. Longer cooking times and uneven cooking. Don’t waste your money.

      This liner works great 👍, no more cleaning the peeling basket! Just let the insert cool a bit. I use empty mayo, pickle jars to collect grease rather than dumping down drain. Let the liner soak with soap in sink, very easy to clean. Does not impact cooking at all. I cook chicken drumsticks, breasts, pork chops, 🍟, meatloaf. Just as crispy as without liner, no more worrying about stuff sticking to fryer basket. Been using 3-4 a week for over a month.

    Observation:
    Umm . . . scuse me but this prevents air flow. i.e. air frying. You are just baking now.
    No hot air is fanning around the food. (hellooo)
    The internet is full of clueless posers.
