It's not that crazy expensive especially compared to the 'drive a super car around a track' thing. With Porsche you get a helluva lot more time with the car and learning its performance capabilities! Appreciate the response, thanks Alanis!
I’m absolutely obsessed with this car. I prefer this a bit more than the normal GT3, and something about this really draws me in. It’s so clean and sleek, performs amazing, and just looks so timeless. And I love how you could add rear seats if you really wanted to (like how Seen Through Glass did with his GT3). And seeing all 3 variations of this GT3 in person and being in them, I just love the Touring so much. I can’t remember the last time I’ve liked a car this much that wasn’t from the 80s or 90s. With this particular spec however, not a big fan of the black wheels and clear taillights, but that’s just my preference.
While this car is awesome, I don't think I would own anything newer than a 997.2. The 991 generation kind of started the whole "let's not drive it and make it a garage queen" phase of Porsche ownership. I just don't think Porsche builds these cars for enthusiasts any more. Maybe the buyers may do that, but the car itself isn’t with that kind of performance. To discredit myself though, I wouldn’t buy one from a dealer. Trying to buy one brand new seems like a huge hassle and wait…I just want the car, if I had the means to get one. Even though I don’t like the 997.2, I do know someone with one and they’re cool (same with the 996). And cars before the 991 like the 911 R from 2016 are the same way. They’ve always had super rare unobtainable versions of the 911.
