I agree but Mexican restaurants usually have to carry some Tex Mex or else people won't know what to eat.

But it is delicious. Texas was part of Mexico, TexMex is a blend of N. Mexico and Texas. I enjoy more authentic Mexican food but most Americans will pass on Cow Tongue Tacos.

Tamales, Enchiladas, Barbacoa, Skirt Steak Fajitas, Chili Con Carne, Chimichangas, Quesadillas, Nachos are all TexMex and delicious. I enjoy more authentic Mexican food but not all of it is very appealing to everyone. Cow Tongue and Cactus is interesting but most Americans would pass on those.
