  • For over 75 years, this iconic restaurant has been serving up Tex-Mex cuisine, and today, serves over 1 million customers each year! How? They NEVER close!
On a typical Saturday at Mi Tierra Café Y Pandaría, 120 gallons of salsa are served, 3000 enchiladas are hand rolled and 22,000 plates are washed.

I’m from California and here in California we have great Mexican restaurant but when I went to San Antonio for a little vacation a lot of people talk about MI Tierra saying it was the greatest Mexican restaurant. So I went to try it out, turns out this place is overhype and overrated the food isn’t all that great is just ok but not worth the wait or the price. This place is mostly a tourist trap for people who don’t know what Mexican food is or how it taste like, the only good thing about this place is that it has some nice decorations but that’s it. Videos like this channel and others like Texas Country Reporter has made this local restaurant a freaking tourist trap.
Portions are meager and well over priced. It is less expensive that restaurants on the river walk but still over priced for what you get.
The wait time is incredibly long and there are no reservations.
This restaurant has operated in this location for decades and I recall a time where the wait was less than 5 minutes.
Breakfast is the only time you can actually walk in and be seated as soon as you walk in the door. Otherwise, order Dominoes and have it delivered to your hotel room

Went to SA to eat at this “24 hour restaurant” we get there to eat at 8.45 and the lady sitting people is rude as hell replies “we aren’t taking any more orders”. Very rude. So much for 24 hour. They’re not. And they are rude as hell.

It's just a tourist trap. There are other text mex restaurants in SA that are better!

You probably had a bad experience, this place’s food is as San Anto as it gets. You’d be surprised how much of the clientele are locals, especially from the westside.

The mistake most people make coming to San Antonio is this place, it’s in a popular spot but in reality it doesn’t have anything special. The food is texmex nothing new here, the bread is not always fresh the service is average. Its just not worth the money. There are so many other better sports in town for sure.

It’s good but Way overpriced. You can get equal or better quality at any Taqueria or Jalisco restaurant in the city. This is just for tourists n

    Prove me wrong!
I always pass this place for the restaurant next door. Less wait time, they have vegetarian options, and I've always found Mexican baked goods too dry.

This place is not what it use to be. Its a tourist trap. The staff is rude as fuk. 2 hour wait on wkds "pre pandemic of course". Food sits on counter cause servers are sooo lazy to help run food. Managers are stuck running food. By the time you get food its cold. Toxic work environment. Btw... I know this cause i use to work there. Hi employee turn over. Go to Lupe Tortilla instead.... Hell, even Chuy's is better.
