In 2022, I saw FF on their Shore tour in Philadelphia. Between songs, a woman shouted from the audience that her name was Lorelai, and it was her birthday. So even though they weren’t prepared to play it at all, they messily played the first verse & chorus of Lorelai for her. It was very sweet. Then a guy yelled from the audience that it was his birthday too, his name was The Shrine/An Argument 😂 Would love to see your reaction to Animal Collective’s album Merriweather Post Pavilion❤️
Glad you liked it so much! As for what their "best" record is... I personally feel like they all have their own distinct vibe and are masterpieces in different ways. My answer would really just depend on my mood. Hope you'll check them all out with an open mind :)
Fleet Foxes is so good. Every album is fantastic. My favorite album is Crack up. In regards to Father John Misty, Fear Fun is a perfect introduction into his witty, comedic style
great and consistent band, so much so that this one is actually my least favorite to put on randomly and listen through, crack-up is their hidden gem imo
One artist you guys should check out is Joanna Newsom! Her album Ys is one of my favorite of all time and she once actually surprise-opened for a fleet foxes concert.
man I would die if that happened when I saw them! I also love Ys, but I think The Milk Eyed Mender is my favorite, it's a bit easier to put on.The first time I heard Emily is one of my fav musical experiences of all time.
HB is an all timer. Ill be interested to see how you guys react to the self titled in reverse chronological order. The self titled is more stark and folksy. HB is more introspective and brighter. Anyways looking forward to it.
This album is an easy 10/10 for me, but Crack-Up is an 11/10 😂. Please listen to Ys by Joanna Newsom. Rating that one would be a disservice unless I rated every other album in relation to it, in which case it would be the upper limit of the scale, as it's the very best album ever put to recording.

This one took a little bit to fully grow on me, but it's a lovely album for sure.
