    Monte Christopher… Mmmmm, Lovely! In the UK we call it a Sarnie…pronounced ‘Sarny’ - great hot or cold! 😋😁

    Good Morning Red,
    It's good seeing you again .. been a while now ..
    'Monte Christo' .. hot diggidy dog, now that's French Toast on Afterburn 😁 .. looks yummy and you can 'Count' on me giving it a try 😏.
    'Jam'. Some time back, I ran short on Sweet Chilli Sauce on my regular Sunday Brunch Toast - Chilli Sauce - Onion - Tomato - Salt / Pepper/Cayenne Pepper - Cheese - Bacon - Egg - Tomato Sauce, open sandwich. 😳 .. but it keeps me going until Supper 😁.
    Yes, no Chilli Sauce so I substituted it with a lathering of Strawberry Jam 😳 .. again, Strawberry Jam 😁 and have never looked back. Now a regular. Ok, ok, I know, but then, I'm a 'Phillistine'.
    In defence though, sometimes perceived 'opposites' attract. Back in the late 50's, my now late Aunt introduced me to 'Marmite and Marmelade Bread Sandwiches or on open Toast. Sounds weird but it's delicious .. the 'tang / bite' of the Marmite (or Bovril / Oxo if no Marmite) complementing the Bitter-Sweet Marmelade perfectly. Today, still one of my favourites.
    Thanks for the new idea and I will definitely give it a go in the week 'outdoor' style.
    Until next time then, take care .. Tommy

      Thanks Tommy! I don't judge you as a Philistine just 'cuse you like to mix it up with jam, the Marmite on the other hand.... That and Veggimite is incomprehensional to me. Facing imminent starvation I would consume it, apart from that I will stear clear of it. Jokes aside, the peanut butter and jam is a classic and in Sweden we're no strangers of putting jam on lots of food, especially lingonberry jam. Take care brother!

    I am delighted you enjoyed the Monte Christo. I have tried the one with jam on the side and a dusting of sugar and recommend you try it. Perhaps lingonberries would be a Swedish twist. The smoked was a nice touch.

      I'll give the jam some thought even if I think I'll adjust the recipe somewhat. Maybe more like Poor knights of Windsor. Thanks for the tip my friend!

    In Scotland, folk of an older generation call sometimes call anything between two slices of loaf a 'sanger', though if it is cooked, they're more likely to call it a toastie.

      Thanks Travis. We have a variety in Sweden, and I guess England, that's called 'Poor Knights'. No meat and cheese, just the bread and eggmilk dusted with sugar and cinnamon. A childhood favourite. Come to think of it, I should make a video about it... Cheers!

      @RedswedeOutdoors  หลายเดือนก่อน

      LOL, I tend to mess up the beard anyways when eating so thanks for the tip how to not make it even worse. I must confess that I'm a bit sceptic to the crannberries, but on the other hand in Sweden we are fond of having lingonberries to savoury food so it might not be to bad after all. Cheers!

    en svår fråga, men i vilken ordning skulle du sätta trangias olika alternativ?
    1. trasiga mini
    2. Trangia triangle
    3. Trangia 27/25

    Aussie here. Hot or cold, if it is made with sliced bread it is a Sanga. To answer your question from elsewhere, a burger is made with a bun, so not a Sanga, if you don't have buns handy and make it with bread it is still a burger. Then there are Jaffles, sangas compressed in a Jaffle iron.
    I hope that clears things up for you. 😁
