- Cooking in the forest on a Trangia 27 ignites my culinary adventure in nature's embrace. A simple, spicy vegetable stew. I love the gentle hiss of the stove harmonising with rustling leaves and bird songs as aromatic flavours float through the breeze. A mindful moment for me as various good thoughts and ideas get my creative juices flowing.

As a kid way back in the late 70s and 80s the first place I wanted to "play out" was in the local woods and countryside. It is something natural. Yes, in our distant past it was a scary place to be, but it is us as a species. Thanks man for this video, made me reflect a lot.

Thank you 🙏 yes, I absolutely love it on day hikes as it allows for some proper cooking. I’m probably less likely to use it on long distance treks.

Hey, thanks Mark. This place was sooo alive with nature. Lots of sounds and plenty from crazy birds. Food was great, simple and wholesome. Just the way camp food should be. Spotted lots of amazing birds while eating. Cheers bro!
