Dementia is a serious and difficult issue to deal with ....... I hope she's able to tell every detail. But the moment justice is served and the suspect is tried; convicted and sentenced I hope she forgets all the horrible things that happened to her.
you know the sad part I work with dementia patients is bad things or things that make them angry they tend to remember longer before full dementia sets in you know there are different levels I pray for the family auntie. I also pray to God they catch and prosecute them to the fullest extent of the law put them in prison with them men and let them know what that person or persons did and they will be taking care of in there

They should get everything done to them and more that they did to this sweet lady who was a helpless victim, now survivor. Predators select victims who cannot defend themselves, are unlikely to be believe about what happened to them later and won’t be reliable (or in some cases even permissible depending on their capacity) witnesses against a defendant at trial. I was a lead prosecutor in a “vulnerable victims unit” focused on crimes against children, the disabled and the elderly. Rape isn’t about the physical act for the criminal; it’s about power. That’s why a victim’s age, appearance and condition are largely irrelevant to the animals who target the vulnerable. It shouldn’t be difficult to get a confession from the vermin who crawled out of that building. He sounds about as bright as a flashlight missing a battery. Whether it was him alone who attacked her or he brought the victim to others in a trafficking scenario, if the assigned prosecutor’s office isn’t showing interest, I recommend going up a step on the ladder to the next level over the DA. Publicly via the media.

My mom has an uncle of her dad's side i believe she said, that he has dementia, he left in the middle of the night around 4-5 am and was never found again 8 years later.

Why can't "abandoned buildings" like these be renovated & turned into affordable housing for low income families? Doing so would drastically cut down on crime in the area & stop ppl from using these empty houses to conceal crimes, drug use & other nefarious purposes. We've got so many homeless families & individuals, but then we see houses & entire apartment complexes like this sitting empty, rotting way. It's just unreal, not to mention unsafe. *We Can Do Better!*

This situation echoes the fact that we can't ever afford to sit on our thumbs and wait for someone else to save us. Why haven't the police charged him? How could they think she wanted to be there in the basement of her own accord? Aren't their laws of elder abuse they could charge him with??? Unreal how slow they move when they want to. The judge better not give him some low bail either. @@sjjj9879 I'm talking about getting dementia or Alzheimer's and sadly sometimes genetics is more powerful than diet. There are quite a few instances of people not that much older than me who have died because they got lost while driving or walking somewhere. I watched Alzheimer's take my MIL, who was in perfect health. They didn't know anything was wrong with her until they got a phone call from the Columbus PD, 200 miles from here. That was the first and, thankfully, only time she went missing and thank God the police found her first.
I'm not trying to take the easy way out, I'm trying to save my life.
