- Twenty-five-year-old Samira Watkins was the mother of a four-year-old boy and had a baby on the way when she suddenly vanished in October 2009. The young mom had just split from her first serious boyfriend who was the father of her son when she met a new man. The Florida mom later became pregnant and her new relationship dwindled as she discovered her boyfriend was living a double life. Well the detective said was first. He said, I'm trying to figure out what type of woman she was... and he said she was a calm girl. I mean, he did do it... but the was wasn't the stand out. The stand out was why he wasn't mire concerned with them finding her (if he was innocent). Him being so nonchalant about it showed he knew she was gone. He never said I hope she's okay.

I live about 45 minutes from Pensacola and into true crime however somehow I’ve never heard about this case! My heart goes out to her family.

My mom passed away 2/15/23…I found myself talking to a lady yesterday saying how much she reminds me of my mom. I said she wears her hair exactly like yours. I clicked in my head and I said she wore her hair like yours. Innocently I thought of my mom in the present tense. He couldn’t help to talk about her in the past tense. The mind is a tricky thing!!!!
English is my second language. The detective said : what her demeanor WAS like? I will instantly say she WAS was was because it tricked my mind.
He talked about her in the past tense because he knows he killed her . Even the police questioning him at that time did not know she was dead . It was still a missing person case at that time .

To make matters worse, leave her son here without his mother. He deserves everything he has coming. Thought he was smart with trying to cover his tracks, I'm glad the justice system recognized his deceit. I hope her family gained an ounce of comfort knowing he's behind bars.
