My uncle died in prison in Missouri, they did not inform the family but repeatedly told us he was in solitary confinement when we would show up to visit. He was dead over 1 year before they admitted it. They had had him cremated and disposed of the ashes, the worst part, he was held past his sentence end when he died. He was there an extra 4 months at that point.

Of course, there needs to be a federal investigation. This is Mississippi. We know cops often use cars to hit suspects on foot or in a car. We need to know why and how these people died and why their families were never notified. A lot of people need to face federal and state prosecution. This is a criminal cover up.

My dad is one of those bodies. Hit by a car and buried 3 and a half years ago. They identified him, had his whole name and said they couldn't find next of kin. A simple Google of his name would've provided plenty enough information to give us a call.
We got his death certificate and all his identifying information was one typo off. If we looked for it that way we would have never known.
If that one kind soul had not by chance seen his name and thought to reach out to us we would have never known. This was wrong, there was no excuse, I want justice for him and all the other families suffering with me.

A lot of the southern state prisons are located in small towns and ran by families, so it's not hard to see how this could lead to corruption. I've heard many stories of corrections officers murdering inmates/ making them fight to the death and covering it up. The level of corruption and the lack of accountability is insane. That guy was actively on meth and has like this entourage of psychics and spiritual healers who are just steering him around to capitalize. I live in Northeast Mississippi and this is not surprising to me. The corruption and evil in our state is beyond comprehension at times. Human life has been completely disregarded in this case and everyone involved should be held accountable. I am sure there were dozens of evildoers who participated or knew about this. And yes, a federal investigation absolutely needs to be conducted. Why is there even a question on the matter? I figure the entire prison system needs to be closely examined because it would not surprise me if it doesn’t occur at other facilities as well. My heart goes out to the loved ones of these victims who were disregarded like this. These people are someone’s father, brother or son.

I agree,, the motive here was using the law enforcement and other parts of the establishments civic institutions not just for scamming a few bucks,, but for genuinely evil purposes of covering up for their own criminality ineptitude and laziness... Even the genuine paupers who had no one to claim the body or whatever deserved better than a shallow grave behind a freakin jail in just a body bag... So now because of that,, which I'm sure the people who buried them intended,, they're basically lost to all identity unless forensic experts get lucky... But realistically, it's Mississippi, by now the bodies will be mostly worms and bugs anyway......

I thought it was illegal to bury a body like that, with no embalming, no casket, etc? You can't just bury a body on your property like they are doing. Not to mention, I've never heard of families not being notified about a death of a family member. I've only experienced police immediately sending a detective out to notify family IN PERSON, ASAP. What the heck is going on at this jail in Mississippi???

True. The story itself is horrible and heartbreaking. But the other fact is to be honest, embalming a body is actually for worse for the environment than burying a body naturally. We have to be cautious when one of our older horses passes, did they pass on their own, did we have to have them euthanized, and what meds were they on. And we bury with a backhoe a min of 10 ft down and a min safe distance from water sources. But say if the vet has to euthanize our horse, same meds as with a dog or cat, they or horribly toxic, for years in the tissue and surrounding soil they leach into. So if a fox or loose dog would dig them up to chew on them, well…. Get the pic. So to argue how horrible the conditions they were buried in….. other than being to shallow and under despicable circumstances….. that one doesn’t hold water for me. Sorry…. I break everything down.

      This is WAR CRIME stuff.
If these bodies were found in a field in Nevada there would be a serial killer investigation going on. The FBI would be swarming the site. They would be sifting through the dirt and performing DNA analysis on every victim.

I can’t believe there has been little or no national coverage of multiple civil rights violations.
Anyone who has been aware of these crimes, as Well as the perpetrators need to be brought to the same level of justice. This should not be happening in America.
Is it me, or do others feel if uncovered in California (not managed well, yet very sensitive to marginalized people of all races)as opposed to Mississippi, there would be outrage all the way to the governors office and beyond?
I’ll never forget that in while selecting a jury pool in Medgar Evers murder, the prosecutor asked potential jurors if they thought it acceptable to receive more of a penalty for shooting jack rabbits out of season than shooting a black man.
Mississippi has made great strides in areas of human rights. So it’s a shame to see them setback once again. Thanks to all who had/have a role in uncovering this atrocity. No plea deals.

    • @fsisXPXP
      @fsisXPXP 5 หลายเดือนก่อน

@@kpokpojiji No, your right. Mississippi is not civilized. I do understand. Those who have died over the years, you sometimes think ‘for what’ when barbarism & racism rear their ugly heads - as in such a case like this.
The former member of the U.S. House of Representatives the Hon. John Lewis said something to effect, and I’m greatly paraphrasing ‘we grieve, we pray, but we will not give in. We fight the good and righteous fight for those who fought before us, our present struggle, and for our children, & generations to come.’
Much more eloquent than I can quite remember.
You would think that as people of color gradually take their rightful places in society, arts, culture, government, etc, (not to mention the friggin presidency) as in most states within our republic, that Mississippi would have been shamed into change.
I travel to the heart of Dixie quite often. Own property there. I can assure anyone reading this that racism was and is alive and well - they have just learned how to fly under the radar, & they are less overt. A wink and nod. Not a red bandanna hanging from your rear jeans pocket. Too obvious these days. The klan is still there, waiting… I often hear that they have been rendered ineffectual due to prosecutor’s ‘successful eradication’ of the klan in several jurisdictions, making a political name for themselves, punching ticket to a higher office.
But we should never give up the good fight, it is a noble one. Okay, okay, I hear you. What I suggest is two things:
Excellerated education, starting at an early age for all children. No more rationalizing, no more sugar coating, and sanitizing history! Educators(not all) don’t seem to get it. How can you expect change & improvement in testing scores if a child doesn’t first feel good about themselves? And all the talk about doing away with affirmative action, yes, for other areas of our nation. Mississippi still is needing it. Some people don’t like to say it, but there it is. They’re not through with it yet. It’s just taking longer in the state famous for resisting change. Again rigorous education.
And two - VOTE. Press the office seekers BEFORE you vote. Form voting blocks, elect(choose) representatives(mouthpieces). They can represent you as a block, and never give up the actual number in the block, which will attract other SERIOUS, like minded individuals . So cast informed votes, and vote often.
Complacency is not an option. I do understand how you feel - civilization in Mississippi, civil rights?
I pray for the victims, grieve for the families & hope for Mississippi.

Why would you even say "regardless of color" 😒 ... Your whole statement turned sour by 1 attempted virtue signal backfiring into racism.
What compelled you to reference skin color at all? As if one lighter or darker tone human is any less or more important than any other simply bc of shade so much as to make it a specific point within your comment
"Regardless of" adds a negative connotation to whatever it is you're discussing by inferring that there must be something less desirable about -whatever- that should be specifically not considered when evaluating or discussing the topic
Regardless of the bananas being overripe, mushy and having brown spots, you can still use them for banana bread
Regardless of those tires being almost bald, they are good enough for spares in case you get a flat
Regardless of that woman being a Night Worker, she shouldn't have suffered such abuses
You are, in other words saying - Don't consider their skin color, they still should have been given a proper grave site for their families 🤨😐😐 seriously wtf is wrong with you? What is wrong with their skin color to begin with for your statement to begin... Regardless of color -smdh- people like you are why racism still has a negative impact in our society.
