Just a quick thank you for making this very interesting video and showing a real insight of a pro at a wedding. Your shots are awesome. And as an aspiring pro this has been so helpful. Cheers from the UK! M
I’m going to help a friend taking wedding photos in 2 weeks. This video gives me clear ideas and helps me to understand the process better. I hope I can remember what to do on their wedding day!
Thank you for allowing me to shadow your wedding shoot. It was educational and inspiring. If I was 'Oliver' asking for more I would have loved to see some lens details and technical information on the shots but it was a very interesting and real-world look at what you do. I think you handled the groom very well.
Great photos and amazing video. I'm photographing my first wedding this Saturday and found this video amazing as for tips and tricks. You do great work and go about it stress free. Thank you for this, it has been of much help.
Cool video. I kinda understand the pressures of the wedding photographer. Robin and I DJ'd weddings years ago and its a lot of pressure. If nobody is out on the dance floor, you start sweating. Its all about making the bride happy. 🙂You are a true professional.
Thank you so much for putting together this behind the scene video. I was able to clear so many of my doubts as well as got some good ideas for my next wedding.
Thanks for sharing this amazing video. The images were nothing short of breathtaking. Thank you very much kind sir for this very education resource that you've taken the time out to share with us. Ps. That high-five at 14:48 was just so cute!
you are amazing! i'm just getting into wedding photography and I'm so nervous for my first one but I hope to be as quick and confident as you eventually
Super cool video. I love your details and the way you interact, position them, and give instructions. Other than calling her "honey" an "sweetie" too much, this was an excellent video.
Very good footage showing your process to pose, relax people, to use on and off camera flash, background choices, etc. I ask you only to put legends informing the choice of lens in a determined moment..even we can guess would be even more informative. Thank you.
no flash during the service ti not catch attention? What about a strobe light way in the back to bounce it off the walls? Scared to bump my iso and get noisy pictures help thanks
Very nice. Thanks for sharing. Will shoot next month for my cousin. I have so many questions. What size umbrellas were those? What flashes are you using? I am thinking of purchasing Flashpoint speedlights. What do you think about the new Flashpoint XPLOR 600? I can see you did just fine with the speedlights and I was wondering of getting the XPLOR but not yet if I can do without just using speedlights.
Levi Almuina I have the 600's for commercial jobs. I also use the flashpoint 360 for weddings and love it. For these videos I strip down to basic stuff so everyone can relate
What size umbrellas do you find work well with groups of people like you were using for just the couple as well as the group? Unless you changed sizes or placed them closer vs farther. What speedlights were you using? Seeing as they gave you good power even with the loss of light from an umbrella. Would you say reflecting the light would be better and in that case would it be better to just use the same size softbox?
Nice video ! But how come you didn't use any Speedlite during the ceremony? Are the images as good as when you use the umbrellas for group shots at the end of the ceremony?
@@BenMcmillen I have a DSLR camera, what would you suggest me for this case where i shouldn't distract the guests while i can't get my ISO upper than 400 to prevent noises?
I've done a couple of weddings, but it's really enlightening to see your workflow... Thank you so much for sharing.... One question, were you on aperture priority? I tend to have some soft / out of focus photos occasionally, maybe I'm too wide open? what aperture were you on in the wedding ceremony?

Gorgeous shots! Thank you for showing us the behind the scenes. Shooting my first wedding soon and very nervous. Is there a reason you leave your shutter release sound on? Was planning to turn mine off but wondered if I had missed something. have a wonderful day!
Thanks! Can you tell me: You auto-focused then you brought the camera back down? Are you recomposing? You seem to have that movement with each photo. Thanks for sharing.
I do the very same thing, what I'm doing is when shooting at a wide aperture where DOF is critical I go up, focus on the eyes then move my camera down to get the person in the full frame and shoot. I compose first, then move the focusing point up to the eyes or cheek bone, get a confirmation light then move back down and shoot.
