    You are a star! Nice visual prompt on keeping the two sticker points as far from each other as poss - makes stretch easier to do effectively.

      Yeah, that was weird. I skipped it at first, but went back to hear it. Is that supposed to be fire? I think a ROARING fire sound will be less mistakable. Great work on the video!

    Hey there. Thanks for the video, it's certainly interesting.
    I'm on a quest to try and disprove my diagnosis of Cervical Dystonia through a program of stretching and mobility. This excercise feels really good for the side that's weaker in my neck. However when I look up and really put the stretch on, I could hear lots of cracking and clicking/crunching in my neck. I wondered whether or not it would be safe for me to continue, and if the noises I could hear when I put the stretch on could cause any damage, or if it's most likely the release of the joints. My neck does crunch and crack a lot as it is, even just looking to the right.
    Thank you!

      @lonsdalewellnessstudio9197  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      We call those noises “crepitus” and they shouldn’t be dangerous or harmful. They are however a sign that something isn’t moving the way it should. Try this next exercise and see if it reduces your crepitus.

    Where did I know which is the short one? My head rotates to the right shoulder. This one is thick and the left on is small and bad to get with the fingers.

    • @aloisius4188
      @aloisius4188 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      I was referred to a REAL physical therapist, not a chiropractor. He used no dots, and it's working. But you must do the stretching exercises as prescribed.

    • @lonsdalewellnessstudio9197
      @lonsdalewellnessstudio9197  6 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Aloisius Therapists don’t use dots because they already know the anatomy! We just use those for teaching. It may surprise you that we learn that in chiropractic school😯 I’m glad you’re getting better, and I hope this exercise helped you as much as the ones from a “real” therapist!

    Can this strech help me to pop up my SCM?

  • @robaerto71
    @robaerto71 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Wrong exercise! The SCM makes an extension in the atlantooccipital joint, so in order to stretch you had to do a FLEXION!

    How many times does one need to do this in a day?

    • @aloisius4188
      @aloisius4188 6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      If you are truly looking for relief you need to view additional videos on the subject, not just this guy in the video. Most recommend that you do this 3x a day. Yeah the music is annoying, the girl is cute.

    • @lonsdalewellnessstudio9197
      @lonsdalewellnessstudio9197  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Aloisius is right, I highly encourage you to view more content on the subject, or see a skilled therapist to help guide you. I typically recommend this exercise to be done once per day for a few minutes, but combined with other stretches to be done more frequently.
