Few ideas that I had for gd: 1. Rename the “Magic” tab to something easier to use. And also add a separate button for the old magic tab, also renamed. (Old magic tab is complicated but one of the main things you need is 20k objects or more. New magic tab shows levels sent to rob by mods. Just a fun fact you can switch to the old version by hitting N/A and searching on magic) 2. Maybe notifications in GD for certain things? (Configurable of course, and possibly mobile exclusive). Examples include all account related things like sending messages and follows, level getting rated or featured, maybe even following a person will notify you of when they post a level? Maybe even daily, weekly, and quest notifications? Of course it needs to be highly configurable. Also you better make sure the notif sound is the achievement sound. 3. Spawn effects. There IS a default spawn effect, so why not add ones you can earn? It would be pretty cool but may not be worth the time. 4. Disable hitbox button. Found in the edit special of any object with a hitbox. Alternatively, maybe have a check box on the toggle trigger for hitbox activation/deactivation 5. Radius trigger, which is a spawn trigger. Mainly used for platformer mode but can be used in normal gameplay. The radius trigger has 2 IDs, one for target ID and one for radius ID (and of course one for the triggers ID). When the target IDs hitbox goes into the radius IDs set radius, a trigger will be activated. The radius is configurable with 2 sliders for X and Y (from center of radius ID block out) and can have a set shape. Turning on gradual mode will make it so the triggers effect will increase the closer the object is (set negative X/Y for opposite effect. Can also configure time active, or can be set to infinite. This would be cool for levels where you push objects around a lot. don’t have much else to say so uhh yeah cool

5:06 I'd like to add on to that: If you copied one of your levels, it shouldn't show the copy mark *unless* the level you copied was a copy of a level not by you. If there wasn't a copy mark for all levels you copied off yourself, you could copy someone's level so it becomes yours, and then copy that level again so it doesn't show the mark.
Here's a hot take, or not, Idk. The standard for rated levels should go way down, where as the previous standard should be preserved for daily, weekly, and epic rated levels.

Well that was a little hostile. I made this comment a while ago and I should have clarified that I meant decoration, not gameplay. And I acknowledge it would slow things down to rate things more often, the standard has been set and it’s hard to change. I just thought it would be cool for creators to get more recognition as it’s hard to without a rate. This was purely hypothetical and I never thought it realistic. 1: Like a "professional" editor it shouldn't open some menus here, it has to open an every-editor menu with such buttons as de-select, copy, paste, duplicate, layer settings, groups, size, etc. 2: About the middle click, I think would be better if it will delete the block your cursor is on. It extends the "Whole PC" feature that when you middle click on a tab, it closes. 3: it is cool to scroll up and down, and as a professional editor it should have this feature, BUT zoom in and out also has to be here, so actually it can use CTRL+Mouse Wheel to do so, like everywhere
I would like to see a "Tap trigger", that just makes the cube jump when activated, and you can modify the tap time to control ship, wave, etc. Would be perfect for auto levels, auto parts, etc
One more suggestion I would add: add the ability to hide the player’s trail in the editor so that way if you beat an extreme demon like Cold Sweat or Kenos but you were too focused on the level to actually take a screenshot you could make a copy, go to the part you want to use as a thumbnail, disable the “show grid” option in the editor, (optionally, disable “follow player so that you can get a specific part of the level), and take a screenshot. Bam. Now you can make a good thumbnail while also basking in the glory of beating a top 10 demon.
i don’t think this is really necessary since you could just play with a start pod instead or just screenshot a part of the video of the completion attempt itself.
Few notes: - Meltdown/GDW/Subzero level songs will be removed from the game files in 2.2 because they bloat the file size - Player collision channel is confirmed to be in 2.2 But other than that, these are great! Lots of these would be absolute life savers.

Another thing I'll like: More search filters: It might work adding tags to the level like: Design, Effect, Modern, Bossfight, Minigame, Art, or Preview
There should also be a star count filter for when you search levels. Right now, you can select star-rated and then select the difficulty, but the problem with that is that the rated levels in some difficulties can vary between two star counts. For example, if you select star-rated and then select insane, you'll get 8-star and 9-star levels, but what just want 8-star levels? That's how this filter would come in handy.
As a creator, these changes to the editor would make creating SO much easier. Especially the foreground flash, I spend like 5 minutes building this huge block thing, when I could just use a trigger.
The 13th one is not likely, since RobTop is going to add the option to hear the original song in practice mode in 2.2 (I'm 80% sure that 2.2 will come out for christmas or early 2023)

I may have one idea.. The option to IMPORT images and use them as custom backgrounds. You can also change the rate at which the background moves. This would be SO nice.
The problem is that you need to type the entire word for it to be converted, and that counts towards the character limit even though its just a hyphen. For example, the word "sadist" is filtered for whatever reason, so you would need to put sadist(levelname)sadist, but you probably wont have enough space for the second one

I have had this one small but cool idea, what if there was a + button next to the demon count on your profile screen, and when you press it it shows you how many easy, medium, hard, insane, and extreme demons you have beaten. This would also be on other players profiles aswell. I would love to see if someone has beaten 12 easy, 4 medium and 1 hard demon, instead of the player has just beaten 17 demons overall.

That is such a terrible idea. Rated levels are supposed to be good, outstanding levels. Why should we lower down the standards just because you don't know how to create?
Well that was a little hostile. I made this comment a while ago and I should have clarified that I meant decoration, not gameplay. And I acknowledge it would slow things down to rate things more often, the standard has been set and it’s hard to change. I just thought it would be cool for creators to get more recognition as it’s hard to without a rate. This was purely hypothetical and I never thought it realistic. I’ve never gotten a CP, and don’t really care. So chill with the personal attacks.

1: Like a "professional" editor it shouldn't open some menus here, it has to open an every-editor menu with such buttons as de-select, copy, paste, duplicate, layer settings, groups, size, etc.
2: About the middle click, I think would be better if it will delete the block your cursor is on.
It extends the "Whole PC" feature that when you middle click on a tab, it closes.
3: it is cool to scroll up and down, and as a professional editor it should have this feature, BUT zoom in and out also has to be here, so actually it can use CTRL+Mouse Wheel to do so, like everywhere

I would like to see a "Tap trigger", that just makes the cube jump when activated, and you can modify the tap time to control ship, wave, etc. Would be perfect for auto levels, auto parts, etc

One more suggestion I would add: add the ability to hide the player’s trail in the editor so that way if you beat an extreme demon like Cold Sweat or Kenos but you were too focused on the level to actually take a screenshot you could make a copy, go to the part you want to use as a thumbnail, disable the “show grid” option in the editor, (optionally, disable “follow player so that you can get a specific part of the level), and take a screenshot. Bam. Now you can make a good thumbnail while also basking in the glory of beating a top 10 demon.
MasterDoge987 add a hide icon trigger, take screenshot. Or noclip to the spot in a copy and screenshot. Not really nessecary of its own feature imo
i don’t think this is really necessary since you could just play with a start pod instead or just screenshot a part of the video of the completion attempt itself.

There should also be a star count filter for when you search levels. Right now, you can select star-rated and then select the difficulty, but the problem with that is that the rated levels in some difficulties can vary between two star counts. For example, if you select star-rated and then select insane, you'll get 8-star and 9-star levels, but what just want 8-star levels? That's how this filter would come in handy.
These are actually some very good ideas. Since Rob said 2.3 will be smaller and faster, I would love to see these features implemented in 2.3.

I may have one idea.. The option to IMPORT images and use them as custom backgrounds. You can also change the rate at which the background moves. This would be SO nice.

The problem is that you need to type the entire word for it to be converted, and that counts towards the character limit even though its just a hyphen.
For example, the word "sadist" is filtered for whatever reason, so you would need to put sadist(levelname)sadist, but you probably wont have enough space for the second one

38. Triangles are easy to implement, but circles are hard. Cocos hitboxes are usually based on triangles, not circles.
I have had this one small but cool idea, what if there was a + button next to the demon count on your profile screen, and when you press it it shows you how many easy, medium, hard, insane, and extreme demons you have beaten.
This would also be on other players profiles aswell.
I would love to see if someone has beaten 12 easy, 4 medium and 1 hard demon, instead of the player has just beaten 17 demons overall.
Ok but what would happen if the level happens to have its rating changed. Would it keep the rating from when you beat it or does it update with the level
