So watching this entire thing has made me realize that Roman's issues have been so very obvious but none of the other sides have pointed it out. The poor baby is asking for help through his actions and words, he's openly said that no one listens to him and that he has low self esteem. I think something that some fanders dont get is that Roman was manipulated(some what groomed) by Janus, who complimented him because he knew how bad Roman's self esteem is. Which is why Roman doesnt want to trust him and is so upset when the others do. He feels ignored and forgotten by the others, he feels like they don't love him and instead hate him for who he is. One thing that I also learned is that Virgil has never once been nice to him, Roman has apologized and tried to stop bullying him while Virgil has continued to berate him and insult him. It makes me sad that my favourite character has been pushed to the side while the others have had their issues worked upon. Thats the reason im so ready for his character arch
Should probably say that I dont hate Virgil, I just think that he isnt the 'UwU bean that can do no wrong' that everyone portrays him as. Thanks for pinning my comment by the way 👉👈
Y’know, while watching this, I feel like when Roman’s pride and mental health really started to decline was during Am I Original? or the 12 Days of Christmas episode. (When Remus began to appear) You can slowly see the hits throughout the series, he gets berated on his opinions, gets ignored, or is pushed aside cause his problems weren’t the main focus, but they’re subtle. He really just cracks during the Crofters episode once he thought that not even the fans cared for him anymore. It’s sucks that everyone didn’t account for how much he was actually hurting until it became a lot tougher to handle.
I just realized, Roman fell for Janus’ comments because every single side hates him openly and secretly. Roman actually knows this, Janus is the first one who actually is openly nice to him. He is like Anna in frozen, he’s been shut out so much that the first time someone is nice to him; they’re just using him. Poor Roman, he needs help.
Heckity heck the worst part is there’s some small bits of Roman angst that aren’t included in this almost 30 min compilation. Thus implying that Roman is even angstier. Heck
When Roman talked about the false confidence thing it sounded like he was indirectly hinting at Patton what Janus had done to him and how he manipulated him and than he locked at Janus and he thought it was a funny prank. No wonder he doesn‘t want to trust him and is disappointed that Patton and Thomas do, like I would also be disappointed in my friends if they trusted a person that manipulated me. I‘m not saying that laughing at Janus name was okay but Janus isn‘t and innocent bean who didn‘t do anything wrong. Roman has every right to not to trust him. I hope the fandomn won‘t make a second Virgil out of him. Sorry for the mistakes I made in this. English isn‘t my native language.
Okay. Just something I wanted to say. In the Hoghwarts video, Roman says Slytherin are evil. Animal: Snake Color: Green Either I'm thinking way to hard over this or Roman related Slytherin to Janus and Remus.
Sammy The Umbreon I wouldn’t be surprised. The split was caused by black and white thinking so of course he wouldn’t want to be considered a dark side or have any relation to them
I hate when people say stuff like “Roman got what he deserved” “Roman kinda deserved it tho” because who's to say he did? You could clearly see in SvS part 1 that he was being manipulated and that Janus was using Roman's insecurities and doubts for his own personal gain. You see in that episode that Roman is willing to trust Deceit and give him a chance, but at the end Roman caught on to what Janus was doing and made the decision to go to the wedding instead of the callback, a decision that was hard for him as a bit of his pride came down with it but he thought that was the right thing to do. So after realising what Janus had done he has no desire to associate himself with Janus, but the others do. And at that point he feels that the wedding decision was a complete waste of his pride, so he tries explaining to Thomas and Patton that he shouldn’t be trusted whilst trying not to admit that he was manipulated. However when Thomas says “y-you are!” he turns to Janus and in my opinion he looked to Janus subtly asking him “is he lying to me or not..?” and Janus gives him the nod which I think was either, 1: Janus was giving him confirmation that Thomas was lying. Or 2: Roman interpreted it the wrong way and thought that Thomas was lying to him. Therefore either way his confidence being absolutely shattered. I think in the next few episodes you'll see a massive confidence loss in Roman (I JUST WANT MY BABEY TO BE OKAYYY 😭😭😭) Edit: I also think that in Moving On Janus was controlling Roman to get Thomas to listen to him, because Roman said a lot of stuff that was very out of character for him, he was also trying to convince Thomas to lie which......... :/ and he says “ugh.. what did I make you do..” as if he wasn’t in control of his decisions.
I love this theory... is it really a theory tho I mean it's pretty obvious... I guess the Janus controlling Roman is technically a theory... sorry, got side-tracked, yeah love this entire comment because it makes me so angry when people hate on Roman for all the wrong reasons.
What also makes me think Janus was conferming Thomas was telling the truth was his his reaction to Roman thinking Thomas was lying. He looked surprised and when he did nod he looked very solom and truthful. But Roman was also feeling so insecure he couldn't see that and interpreted it wrong
I personnaly hate the theory that Janus control Roman during moving on. Mostly because Janus only showed up when Thomas thinks lying is an option or when his mental state is in danger. Netheir of those things happened in moving on. Despite wanting to get back on the relashiopship in a way, he already knew it wasn't an option and feeling sad is completly normal. You all need to understand that the sides aren't just representation of Thomas personality traits. They ARE Thomas and even vice versa. Roman was acting all weird because he was affected by Thomas mental healt just like Patton and Virgil were.
Roman is screaming for help and imagine the reason he's so dramatic and tries to act very over the top and fun to hide how he feels on the inside and the reason he sometimes insults the other sides is to feel better about himself more in the past then now but he did it to keep up the act and when he's seen as stupid or just a dunce, he is a dunce sometimes but I just see that hurting him so bad
Alright: Roman was never my *favorite* character, probably due to the fact that his head is always in the clouds and I'm a very down-to-Earth type of gal. Anyhow, after watching this, it genuinely hurt to see how Roman's mental health just keeps declining(I'd say Roman's mental health started to decline when Thomas broke up with whoever, which was also when it seemed like Deceit/Janus first appeared; which I know is an unpopular opinion given that Remus started appearing in The 12 Days of Christmas.). Roman definitely has it harder than the other sides due to [supposedly] being related to Remus, and the fact that (as another comment said) "Roman was manipulated(some what groomed) by Janus". Which made Roman end up being somewhat... clingy, I suppose. Roman desperately craved compliments, or just any sort of *anything* (...I hope that made sense) to make him feel like someone cared/liked him. In SVS Redux, you'll notice that Roman literally clung to a compliment that Thomas had given Roman around 3 years ago("Roman, you're my hero"). Despite this being a video based around Roman angst, I'd also like to point out that Remus also ended up getting "left behind", much like Roman did. So I wonder if Remus is a mirror version of Roman, and reflects on what could happen to Roman later on. (Remus even mirrors Roman's "poses".)
I feel like there could be an arc where because Ro and Rem are so similar, they end up having the same issues and for the others to help or notice that they have to team up.
@@doughnutdelicious492 I can definitely see that! And it would be interesting to see what would happen if the two did team up. Would that help, or hurt C!Thomas? Also, if the others do try to help, would they actually be able to help? Or would they do more harm than good?
Just wanna point out, idk how accurate that 3 years thing is since I'm pretty sure svs redux takes place in 2019. I heard that somewhere and idk if it's true or not but I think it's canon
That Janus comment about Roman and Remus being so similar to the point where he can’t tell whose worse definitely hit hard also considering the fact that Roman said that Remus is basically everything he doesn’t want to be.
I love Roman and it is so sad to see all that angst he keeps trying to bottle up inside finally spill over... but I am so on board for a Disney villain transformation/angst song🖤😈 time to watch a King slay, gimme gimme!
Sometimes I really don’t understand why people hate Roman like yeah sometimes he insults the other sides but that was like earlier in the series. And Roman has severe insecurity issues like huh I dunno 😅
What really gets me pressed is that some fanders get mad at him for insulting people even though he apologized, his whole speech in AA was gut wrenching (for me at least) but people just ignore it. Also for Logan, he apologized in the puppet video (and in dwit). But Logan and Virgil get let off the hook for calling Roman stupid and useless on so many occasions. Give my boy some love and respect
Yah Roman is that friend who calls you silly nick names but out of love. Also he always calls them nick names when he's feeling insecure. Plus we've gotten to the point where we know he doesn't mean the stupid names and that their all in good fun.
there was also that moment in embarrassing phases where he said that he used to feel ashamed of how Thomas' cosplays were always so bad which means he was already insecure when Thomas was young
I just realised. When Roman was talking about how Janus was just trying to build up your self esteem for it to just tumble back down, Janus says that it sounded like a 'wholesome' prank. The expression on Roman's face, he realised that Janus manipulating him and then just putting the blame on him and 'tumbling' self esteem down was a wholesome prank. Roman realises that it was all a wholesome prank in Janus's eyes and the manipulation he went through as supposed to be a wholesome prank. I don't blame Roman for just going off on Janus after that... That realisation hurt me wow :,) Timestamp is 19:23 around that timing
Hes Deciet and the way he tones it is because its sarcasm "it's a /very/ funny wholesome prank " though I think janus is wrong so is Roman. Isnt the whole series about not everything is in black and white or good or bad? This whole Who was in the right thing with them is pointless. They both are very hurt people as a result of *mostly pattons control over Thomas's decisions, and they both hurt eachother in retaliation. They all only want what's best for him and Roman ,Thomas and janus all wanted to go to the callback. It wasn't complete manipulation as such, just both fighting for what they want for thomas and his mental health. Sorry for the long post, and no hate here! Just what I took from it lol
I'm literally crying. I hate how the others keep overlooking that Roman is seriously not okay! Btw, thank you for this compilation ❤️ I will now plunge myself into the sea of angst *ugly cries*
My goodness.. After all the time the others ignored Roman's sadness, when they say "We love you" "You're our hero" "We embrace you", he cant even believe them anymore. And the way people say "He deserved that" "He was a jerk by insulting Janus" is just sad. Not even the fans realize that Janus just compared him to his terrible brother, Roman said it himself, "Instead of seeing long legs, a big head or a tiny torsoe, it shows you everything you dont want to be" And Janus knew that. Janus knew that Roman didnt like his brother at all. And maybe thats why he said "Of course he's not, he just wants to build up a false confidence in you so he can plum it down to even greater depths" BECAUSE THATS WHAT JANUS HAS BEEN DOING. Janus knows about Roman's insecurity so he keeps on complimenting Roman. Janus gave Roman some false confidence and when he said "Thank god you dont have a mustache or I wouldn't know who the evil twin is" thats when Romans confidence just went down... He literally just called Roman evil and again ROMAN DIDNT WANT THAT Im so freaking worried about Romans health in the next Sander Sides episodes... Hopefully it'll improve
I remember on one of Jaiden's videos, she mentioned how people always say that bad words only have power if you believe them but the same thing goes for good. And Roman doesnt believe hardly any compliments anymore- this is happening to him-
I’m mostly gonna explain Janus’s actions here but I still Love Roman, I hope an episode comes where he’s the main focus and his issues are tackled. Janus embodies selfishness and lying. He’s the one that acts when u do something nice for yourself. He also can create false bubbles like: It can be better and it will get better. Now that’s not bad because it’s giving a person hope. And In the most recent song Thomas put out Janus made a bubble that things can get better and says: He needs it. While panning over to Thomas. So Janus compliments Roman because he knows how low his confidence is and even if it’s lying, he still wants to help Roman. So when he revealed his name: which is something personal to Janus. And Roman made fun of it, Janus reacted with hurt over that. But I really hope our dream boy Roman gets an episode where we can help him with his issues cuz HE REALLY NEEDS IT
I NEVER NOTICED ROMAN ACTUALLY ALMOST STARTS CRYING IN THE CHRISTMAS VID /or at least looks like it/ - I, AS A ROMAN STAN, OBJECT TO THIS **DROWNS IN TEARS**
I filled up with complete joy the moment Virgil said ”no one hates you” (also I don't ship prinxiety if that's what you're wondering I just think it's amazing that Virgil of all the sides said that) :) Edit: I'm at the end of the video and currently I am crying ples halp meh
In the SvS videos, both Patton and Janus were to blame for making Roman feel so terrible. Janus obviously had a good motive and was doing the right thing, but in order to get it done, he used Roman as a pawn, flattering his ego and playing with his feelings in order to get Roman to support him. As much as Janus is my favourite character, I still hate the way he went about that and I'm not surprised that Roman no longer believes his compliments after. As for Patton, he started the whole issue by forcing Thomas to be selfless instead of taking care of himself (funny, because in the Hogwarts video, Patton was the one who said that the new hair color makes Thomas happy and good mental health is important). And Patton, too, roped in Roman, guilt-tripping him for wanting to follow his wishes and reminding him that he should be noble and selfless. Altogether, in these videos, I feel like Roman was being pushed and pulled and puppetted by these two sides. No wonder he almost had a mental breakdown in the end. It's really hurtful to see people ignore someone who seems confident, even though they constantly try to talk about their feelings. Both Roman and Logan are in dire need of an arc. They're both once-confident people who are now insecure, ignored and try to do the right thing even though it pains them so much.
Without a doubt I adore the character of Roman, because it shows how low self-esteem can be reflected in a person, without reaching the stereotype that they are submissive and are always quiet. Which bothers me, because people in the fandom do not understand that, low self-esteem can lead to a person insulting others to feel better about himself and always watch out for what others think of them. That is the case of Roman, he fulfills that and more characteristics about someone with low self-esteem (example of this: feeling frustrated under minimal pressure, high self-demand, fear of the new, does not accept criticism, they seek blame in others, etc. ). Those characteristics have been seen around all the Sanders Sides videos, and my theory is that it will be something that will be more emphasized very soon.
it's even more interesting because Virgil seems to have low self-esteem too, but it presents in him differently because he has a different personality. it's more obvious with him because he fits the stereotype.
11:19 why is nobody talking about how Virgil insults roman like a pretty good insult to but when Roman goes and says something back somethings that was not really bad Thomas seems to get upset with him and not Virgil....yes I know Roman says something first but that was clearly him acting on emotion and not really thinking about what he was saying. What Virgil said was not and Virgil knew full well that Roman was insecure and that he may or may not be playing at one of Romans insecurity’s
Actually yes I agree with this- whenever Roman starts, the others get a chance to retaliate but if Roman snaps back it's his fault- that's somewhat started to bother me that I've noticed-
6 minutes in I was already on the verge of tears, I did NOT last... the fact that Roman's issues just go ignored when he's trying to reach out without inconveniencing the other sides hurts me so much. It took me so long to realise that Roman was my favourite side because his arc hits me so freakin hard! Yet I still clicked on this video and watched the angst... I swear I have some sort of love-hate relationship with Roman angst. (Also I low-key want Thomas to give Roman an angsty villain song later down the line.... it would hurt but watching our prince slay would be amazing... never thought I would ever write that sentence yet here we are).
If you look at his logo it has both yellow and red, and what do you get when you mix yellow and red? o r a n g e. Also when Janus said the “Evil twin” thing, it’s yellow vs red, ergo, making orange in the process. That’s just a theory of mine though! :D
@@yes9503 My crack theory is that Janus is red-green colorblind and idk maybe Roman won't leave his room so Janus tries to take his place to keep everyone from worrying but since the red-green color spectrum just all looks basically the same to him he plays it safe and goes with orange.
@@SevYT I really like that theory! I just threw some ideas with mine and you went full on creative mode, i like that! It makes sense too that snakes are well supposed dichromatic, or maybe i have my facts wrong- but i loved your theory doe.
Aren’t you forgetting one scene that happened idk maybe I made it up but Remember that Logince moment/Roman angst moment when Logan thought Roman was gonna like blame him or something at first so he’s like “oh do you Roman” but Roman was like “it’s my fault..” and Logan’s face was like caught off guard and maybe I’m just a shipper but he looked worried
You know what I hate that happened at the end of the video, Patton had said he'll check up on Roman to make sure he's ok but, what did Patton due nothing😤instead he stood there talking with deceit and just didn't seem to care at all what Roman was doing or how Roman was feeling😤 (I'm sorry it's just in all the videos I've seen this is never pointed out,and honestly I just needed to vent about it sorry again😅
Well, Thomas stopped Pat before he got to check up on Roman, which distracted him for a bit. Pat would never not check up on someone after they had a 'moment'. That's why no one pointed it out. I hope that might've made you feel better since that was a little vent!
But he did go talk to Roman after Thomas explain that everyone had a capacity for Deceit 🤨. The end card happen on april 30. We see that date right before seeing Lee and Mary Lee in person wich means 17 days has past since then.
Something in me gets so Hmmm with Roman being the only one besides Janus to perfectly mock someone elses voice- (I just got to that part and the thought came to me again) I can't explain the why but that moment just sticks. I can't wait to see where this all goes honestly-
_This is just a thought that I’ve had about Roman and Remus that I think is really interesting and I wanted to share; enjoy!_ I like to think that Roman has mostly censored creativity, whereas Remus has mainly uncensored creativity. Because Roman already has the censored part of creativity, Remus dwells within only the uncensored parts. Maybe he can’t really do censored creativity, or maybe he just chooses not to; that’s besides the point. I believe that, although Remus has darker ideas and isn’t as liked by the other sides because of his role, he has, in turn, traded that for lack of care about what others think. He doesn’t really search for acceptance at all and he doesn’t seem to care about opinions people have of him. Roman, on the other hand, doesn’t appear to have those dark ideas his brother does and, because of that, is more liked my the other sides for his role. Instead, however, he has self-esteem and pride issues. Acceptance means a lot to him and he really does care about what others think. Now, if Roman were to realize that his brother isn’t self-conscious and couldn’t care less about the thoughts and opinions of anybody at all, he would, for the first time, be genuinely jealous of his brother. That, more than anything, would freak him out; being jealous of his brother, despite him being the very thing that he has specifically stated he wishes he wasn’t more than anything else? Well, I can’t even *begin* to state the amount of character development and long-lasting effects that would have on Roman. _Just something to think about - potentially a line of thought to keep you up at night. Your welcome :)_
I had to come back to add something: remember when after Roman talks about how he feels like he's steering Thomas wrong and spills out most of his feelings in SvSR, and Thomas says right afterwards something like "No offense but that's the stupidest thing you've ever said"? Yeah, that still pisses me off. I mean, I get that what Thomas meant was something like "You think so lowly of yourself when you're actually good, that's stupid" but it still wasn't the right response to someone who just spilled their guts out about how they feel _because of the way they've been treated so far_ . You can't ignore a person at all times, be mean to them then call them stupid when they express how they feel about themselves because of the way *you* treated them. Roman felt like he was in the wrong because of how the others kept ignoring him or disagreeing with any of his decisions in the series so far. Instead of assuring him that he is needed, or apologizing for treating him that way, Thomas just goes "haha you're stupid".
The only sides who've really seemed to notice how roman hasn't been doing well is patton and virgil, with patton telling the others that they were being mean and they shouldn't stiffle Romans creative whimsy in the 12 days of christmas ep. And virgil added "no one hates you" in the puppets ep. Patton probably notices it because he himself would hide his sad feelings, making it easier to notice when someone else does it too
I just realized something. The reason Roman immediately turned down the idea that He could be a Slytherin is not just Because Slytherins are portrayed as evil(Not all just those who actually follow Voldy) but also because their signature color is Green. What Side identifies with the color green? R E M U S. The one person Roman doesn't want to be like
With Roman they agnolage he is insecure and hurting but never really do anything about it. Virgil and Patton have had their moments and when they showed signs of disstress everyone INSTANTLY went to help. But with Roman and Logan(Though they don't really talk about his as much) they just agnolage it exists and moves on. We've known that Roman was insecure and hurting for a while and that he is too prideful to ask for help but instead of everyone helping him(Wich he wants his arrogance is really just a coping method and they talked about how it is in the Puppets episode) they let it happen. With Virgil and Patton who were to scared to ask for help everyone noticed and jumped in to help and they grew from it. They haven't helped Roman out which makes him feel even more insecure because "My friends don't care about me. They don't know me. I'm not as important to them" Thomas and Patton only really notice his hurt during POF when "I thought I was your hero" was said. Because Roman broke and admitted his pain. Roman is prideful but also, like Patton, thinks that he always needs to be strong. He's the guy who even hurt and dieing will still fight because it's his job/duty. I'm excited for his arch when his friends remind him he has people watching his back and he doesn't need to always have a brave face on. That he is important too and they love him. Hopefully they also apologies for not helping him sooner even though they knew he was hurting
I feel so bad because it is so obvious that Roman is having a difficult time and being hard on himself. He doesn’t think his opinion matters because it is the supposed “wrong” one and thinking he is getting in the way. Roman is my favourite character because i relate to him. We are similar. He thinks that he is in the wrong but is trying his best to hide it so that no one will question if he is ok or not. Also there has only been 2 sander sides vids out since SvS. Roman seems fine with Virgil because he wasn’t there but also Thomas.I also feel like he is bottling everything up so no one will no how he really feels. He fells like they don’t trust him anymore. I can’t wait for his arc because I want to see what he dose with those emotions but I also want it to tech us something about Roman that no one knows yet. I love Roman ❤️but he is definitely hurting after the SvS episode.
To lift the mood, I just thought about this. So you know how Remus and Roman were once one person? What if when they split like they both got like half a brain. Like imagine their both arguing and one of them says “See this is why i shouldve gotten both halves of the brain!”
Didn't Thomas make a TikTok about the Sides' weaknesses? Patton's was technology, Virgil's was fire, Logan was skipped, Thomas's (not a Side, but whatever) was he can't act to save his life, and Roman's was crippling self-doubt mixed with overwhelming hubris. It's canon!
wAit- Janus said some things shouldn't be in moderation I think he means the orange side... but the orange side is a dark side but.. a lot theorize that Remus and Roman are 1 side that split-... So what if the orange side was The original creativity?
Ahhhh Roman Angst, My favorite! (Roman is my favorite side along with his brother and I have this thing where if someone is my favorite all I want is angst from them :D ) ( I do want them to be happy I promise, but angst hits differently)
HOLY SHIT OKAY LISTEN UP: Theory To get my theory you have to know that the channel Pickyourpoison said that the Orange and last Dark side will probably be rage. SO, you know how Virgil eventually became a light side? What if Roman becomes a dark side (maybe only temporaly) and takes the Orange side or character rage? Think about it, because Virgil went from a Dark to a Light side so the balance is now off (2 dark, 4 light?) So maybe a new character won't be introduced (yet) but Roman eventually loses it because he was IGNORED for SO LONG and is unable to contain all his emotions and becomes blinded with rage. Pickyourpoison even said that the Orange side is most likely the opposite of Logan (like Janus is with Patton), and Creativity and LOGIC are very different and could even be considerd opposites! However, if this happens I don't think it will be permanent. We will probably get a 2 part video of CHARACTER ARC for Roman like we had with Virgil and Patton, But it is cool to think about and I have never had a fantheory so this is fun:)
Its currently 11 at night and I'm sitting at my desk in the dark sharpening a pop sickle stick with a kitchen knife covered by wood shavings and tears because this video makes me sad...
I watched sander sides more than a year ago and everyone was hating on roman because of his ego but I still love him alot idc I find him iconic asf His definitely insecure and has his own problems but nobody understands and mostly Looks towards Virgil instead
I re watched the SvS part 2 episode again and when Patton asked Janus about when u have to stop apologise to make u realises there not good from u it might just be me but for a moment I though is Patton thinking that Roman made so much mistakes that he didn’t want Roman round anymore. It may just be me thinking the wrong thing but it happened right after Roman sank out. Then again he could be talking about himself. I just want to know others opinion on that moment??
So watching this entire thing has made me realize that Roman's issues have been so very obvious but none of the other sides have pointed it out. The poor baby is asking for help through his actions and words, he's openly said that no one listens to him and that he has low self esteem.
Thanks for pinning my comment by the way 👉👈
I feel sad for his arc

Ughh I feel the exact same way. Roman is my favorite character and he makes me cry a lot lmao

The fact that this is 22 minutes is more than enough proof that Roman is not doing alright

I agree completely!
Okay. Just something I wanted to say.
In the Hoghwarts video, Roman says Slytherin are evil.
Animal: Snake
Color: Green
Either I'm thinking way to hard over this or Roman related Slytherin to Janus and Remus.
Sammy The Umbreon I wouldn’t be surprised. The split was caused by black and white thinking so of course he wouldn’t want to be considered a dark side or have any relation to them
This is so genius of you it's crazy
I think in the next few episodes you'll see a massive confidence loss in Roman
(I JUST WANT MY BABEY TO BE OKAYYY 😭😭😭)
Edit: I also think that in Moving On Janus was controlling Roman to get Thomas to listen to him, because Roman said a lot of stuff that was very out of character for him, he was also trying to convince Thomas to lie which.........
@@AuggieG2004 Thomas said he would leave the nod up to interpretation, so...c!thomas might have lied to Roman...ouch my poor baby
What if instead of janus controlling roman he was pretending to be roman? (Just me who thinks that?)
Self deprecating laugh if I’ve ever heard one!
When in the video was this?
Roman is screaming for help and imagine the reason he's so dramatic and tries to act very over the top and fun to hide how he feels on the inside and the reason he sometimes insults the other sides is to feel better about himself more in the past then now but he did it to keep up the act and when he's seen as stupid or just a dunce, he is a dunce sometimes but I just see that hurting him so bad
Yah honestly his arrogance and whenever he's rude to the other sides is when he's feeling insecure. It's a coping method for him
But Roman did better than deceit with that voice he did
Alright: Roman was never my *favorite* character, probably due to the fact that his head is always in the clouds and I'm a very down-to-Earth type of gal.
Oh no
I feel like there could be an arc where because Ro and Rem are so similar, they end up having the same issues and for the others to help or notice that they have to team up.
And it’s not as if none of the others sides have ever insulted someone, so why does Roman get so much hate for it?
*this comment section is filled with Roman stans and I live for it*
there was also that moment in embarrassing phases where he said that he used to feel ashamed of how Thomas' cosplays were always so bad which means he was already insecure when Thomas was young
Hey yeah-
I just realised. That realisation hurt me wow :,)
Timestamp is 19:23 around that timing
Janus needs to do a LOT of apologising before he even thinks of being totally acepted.
OH GOD MY HEART 💔💔💔💔
I'm literally crying. I hate how the others keep overlooking that Roman is seriously not okay! Btw, thank you for this compilation ❤️ I will now plunge myself into the sea of angst *ugly cries*
Me to
Roman's gonna crack, Roman's getting an arc~
He literally just called Roman evil and again ROMAN DIDNT WANT THAT
Im so freaking worried about Romans health in the next Sander Sides episodes...
But I really hope our dream boy Roman gets an episode where we can help him with his issues cuz HE REALLY NEEDS IT
I NEVER NOTICED ROMAN ACTUALLY ALMOST STARTS CRYING IN THE CHRISTMAS VID /or at least looks like it/ -
I, AS A ROMAN STAN, OBJECT TO THIS
**DROWNS IN TEARS**
I filled up with complete joy the moment Virgil said ”no one hates you” (also I don't ship prinxiety if that's what you're wondering I just think it's amazing that Virgil of all the sides said that) :)
Edit: I'm at the end of the video and currently I am crying ples halp meh
@@AuggieG2004 during Incomplete (the puzzle song) on roman’s turn
Yeah but need I remind you the line “in ALMOST any case we embrace you”
*seems like in POF’s case, Ro doesn’t get embraced*
Oof it's 22 minutes long 😮
I love me some roman angst ❤
But the new episode has me worried 💔
Thomas had a update in his live streem and he said Roman will be ok
But he has a rough Jurney ahead REEEEE!!!!!!
Nope I don't think he will be.
Roman stans: i want angst
Roman stans after getting angst: nOoOoO why did you hurt my baby D:
it's me. I'm Roman stans
no one listens to his issues because he's the excited one
extroverts can't have problems /s
*Roman for therapy 2020*
it's even more interesting because Virgil seems to have low self-esteem too, but it presents in him differently because he has a different personality. it's more obvious with him because he fits the stereotype.
I'm not even a roman kin, heck I'm a freaking remus kin! And here I am crying my eyes out, roman deserves better
and then he didn't
4:22
he actually looked like he wanted to...
18:06-18:15
Rewatching this scene, I can imagine Roman saying this
It feels like something he would say to Logan or Thomas or pretty much any of them
How dare you make me cry more than I already am
Roman: may sugarplums dance in your head and hopefully not visions of your naked aunt Patty
Remus:I'm going to ruin this whole man career
Wow theres a lot more of these than I realized
I swear if he replace his sash with an orange one for the next episode, I'm going to cry.
OH GOD NO! I WOULD HATE THAT!
I'm gonna cry anyway so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
H-HE CALLED THEM COMMONERS. THIS VID IS SAD BUT THAT GOT ME. Roman is like Tamaki and nobody can change my mind.
*sobs* My poor boy ;-;
They need to make a video where they except Roman
Accept? Or except?
@@eikaru69 I think they meant accept such as Accepting Anxiety
That’s a good idea!
Yeah or they, learn that every side has problems.
Forgive us - we're a grammar Nazi. *Accept
Roman has ADHD and you can pry that headcanon from my cold dead hands.
As another adhd-er yep i relate to him too much
As someone with adhd absolutely agree 👍
There is also a scene in DWIT where Roman says he’s not feeling any love, soooo yeah
Whattttt? What time?
When!
Ah screw it I’m searching for it
i'm so emo ;-; thanks for making this, ro's my favorite side
Same.
When Roman stans/kinnies see that the video is 20 minutes long
Love how even when he tries to talk about not being understood in the vent song they just completly ignore what he's saying : )
That fact that this is about as a long as a average episode hurts me-
Roman's the cutest bean in the world and he feels like he isn't good enoughhhhhhhh
“You made a joke and now they’ll think everything’s fine...”
Holy wow, that hits like a truck
Awww i really feel bad for him its actually kinda obvious he has insecurities for something its pretty bad
You know what I hate that happened at the end of the video, Patton had said he'll check up on Roman to make sure he's ok but, what did Patton due nothing😤instead he stood there talking with deceit and just didn't seem to care at all what Roman was doing or how Roman was feeling😤
(I'm sorry it's just in all the videos I've seen this is never pointed out,and honestly I just needed to vent about it sorry again😅
Well, Thomas stopped Pat before he got to check up on Roman, which distracted him for a bit. Pat would never not check up on someone after they had a 'moment'. That's why no one pointed it out. I hope that might've made you feel better since that was a little vent!
I guess so I didn't see it but I'll believe you😸 I've calmed down
Thx for the info I'll look back and see
Dawnbie wow I loved reading this you did a great job, and I can definitely get behind your theory😸
But he did go talk to Roman after Thomas explain that everyone had a capacity for Deceit 🤨.
The end card happen on april 30. We see that date right before seeing Lee and Mary Lee in person wich means 17 days has past since then.
Oof poor roman
Something in me gets so Hmmm with Roman being the only one besides Janus to perfectly mock someone elses voice- (I just got to that part and the thought came to me again) I can't explain the why but that moment just sticks.
I can't wait to see where this all goes honestly-
_This is just a thought that I’ve had about Roman and Remus that I think is really interesting and I wanted to share; enjoy!_
I like to think that Roman has mostly censored creativity, whereas Remus has mainly uncensored creativity.
The fact that it’s 22 minutes long💔
...... that I needed this video to fully say: Roman deserves better
see you in the roman arc guys
My heart.... 💔 he's been insecure this whole time...
* cries in roman (and janus) kinnie *
Oh god, the newest episode must have REALLY hurt!
Human Garbage oh my god it was so painful
I clicked on this video as a Roman kinnie to feel pain.
The only sides who've really seemed to notice how roman hasn't been doing well is patton and virgil, with patton telling the others that they were being mean and they shouldn't stiffle Romans creative whimsy in the 12 days of christmas ep. And virgil added "no one hates you" in the puppets ep. Patton probably notices it because he himself would hide his sad feelings, making it easier to notice when someone else does it too
Aside from Janus, but janus typically tends to use it for his own needs
11:06 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
I just realized something. The reason Roman immediately turned down the idea that He could be a Slytherin is not just Because Slytherins are portrayed as evil(Not all just those who actually follow Voldy) but also because their signature color is Green. What Side identifies with the color green? R E M U S. The one person Roman doesn't want to be like
This video: Roman stans, unite!
3:38 Really Thomas Really!😠😠
Yes, I'm spamming the comments-
ROMAN'S LYRICS IN THE CROFTERS SONG-
I NEVER REALIZED HOW ANGSTY THEY WERE-
"Oh I don't worry about that" Roman, you're a liar
I feel so very bad for Roman...
oof this is the length of a whole episode of sanders sides
(demonic chanting) Romangst Romangst Romangst
When you realize this is a 22 minute video
👁💧👄💧👁
The poor baby deserves better
I feel like as time goes on you see Roman reflect more and more of his brother's (Remus) traits
The Sanders Sides is srsly everyone just trying to not be seen as a joke by eachother. Lol
oof the call out, the tea is scorching
To lift the mood, I just thought about this.
So you know how Remus and Roman were once one person? What if when they split like they both got like half a brain. Like imagine their both arguing and one of them says “See this is why i shouldve gotten both halves of the brain!”
GET ROMAN HELP.
SERIOUSLY
JUST GET HIM HELP!!
Me who relates to Roman a little too much: *chuckles* I’m in danger
I'm probably gonna cry during the season 2 finale
I haven’t watched this yet I really need to do homework but T W E N T Y T W O M I N U T E S ?? Oh no I’m not ready for the angst
It's canon!
wAit-
Janus said some things shouldn't be in moderation
I think he means the orange side...
but the orange side is a dark side
but.. a lot theorize that Remus and Roman are 1 side that split-...
So what if the orange side was The original creativity?
YES THO
the length of this video says a lot
Ahhhh Roman Angst, My favorite! (Roman is my favorite side along with his brother and I have this thing where if someone is my favorite all I want is angst from them :D ) ( I do want them to be happy I promise, but angst hits differently)
I am literally sobbing so loudly right now my poor baby! ;-; he deserves much better than this...! :(
*"Banana-Conda"*-
HOLY SHIT OKAY LISTEN UP: Theory
To get my theory you have to know that the channel Pickyourpoison said that the Orange and last Dark side will probably be rage. SO, you know how Virgil eventually became a light side? What if Roman becomes a dark side (maybe only temporaly) and takes the Orange side or character rage?
Think about it, because Virgil went from a Dark to a Light side so the balance is now off (2 dark, 4 light?)
So maybe a new character won't be introduced (yet) but Roman eventually loses it because he was IGNORED for SO LONG and is unable to contain all his emotions and becomes blinded with rage.
Oh this is great I hate it so much thank you
Its currently 11 at night and I'm sitting at my desk in the dark sharpening a pop sickle stick with a kitchen knife covered by wood shavings and tears because this video makes me sad...
Roman is way too relatable
[slaps top of Roman and Logan] These bad boys can fit so much angst in them
The fact that this doesn't have all them says a lot of sad things
9:23
uh
Intrusive thoughts..?
W A I T.
Roman: were donzo
Me: Wait You were a thing!!!!!!!
im ready for the roman character arc 😩✋
I never noticed the Roman angst I’m sad now
I watched sander sides more than a year ago and everyone was hating on roman because of his ego but I still love him alot idc I find him iconic asf
His definitely insecure and has his own problems but nobody understands and mostly Looks towards Virgil instead
I love Roman T^T
I re watched the SvS part 2 episode again and when Patton asked Janus about when u have to stop apologise to make u realises there not good from u it might just be me but for a moment I though is Patton thinking that Roman made so much mistakes that he didn’t want Roman round anymore. It may just be me thinking the wrong thing but it happened right after Roman sank out. Then again he could be talking about himself. I just want to know others opinion on that moment??
I hate how easily I can believe this
They love him, but he doesn’t love himself.
