Since it couldve been the shadow rigging the wheel, it really feels wierd in that moment. Instead of ressing to keep the fight going the shadow put in death and sat in a begging position. Really sent a chill down my spine.
@@dragooves-t7lit's very easy if you increase your attack and defense and use a bunch of threagy's the roulette is different from the original so not it effects everyone in battle and Akihiko makes it easier since Fortune is weak to thunder based skills and bash attacks

My favorite of the full moon shadows and part 6! Fortune isn’t just about luck, isn’t that wild? It’s about being able to be patient to wait for your moment, trusting in your own ability and assessment of the situation and not looking for shortcuts (ie cheating) and short-term benefits. You know how you have to make a decision whether to keep gambling or not? Fortune represents keeping a level head and making a proper decision based on what you know about yourself and the current situation. It’s the responsible gambling arcana. Kind of. Design-wise Fortune is also meant in this fight to serve as the “beast” that Strength has in her tarot art. Anyway, Shadow Fortune is, well, a cheater. And an impatient one at that. Instead of letting luck and fate play out as it will, it tries to rig things in its favor to avoid having to wait any longer, and even then it carries the risk of it being hurt and “losing” the (rigged) bet. Note that its Roulette gimmick also drags Strength into it, and makes her suffer as well if things don’t go well. Part of the upright Fortune is risk assessment and management, after all. The Fortune shadow doesn’t care about any of that, recklessly pushing through with its gambles no matter what. Strength is an arcana that, well, represents strength. Relative to the magician, who has great power and potential, Strength has great power that it uses to protect others. It’s also gentleness, kindness, generosity, and self-control over pure brute force. The Shadow Strength is… a demure, beautiful woman standing atop a bed of roses, surrounded by a fence that bears a passing resemblance to musical notes, with petals spinning around her. Why am I pointing this out? Because it’s a lie. The fence is not just separation from others, it’s a tool for brute force (she can extend the ends and spin it rapidly to attack). The petals are not soft expressions of beauty, they can cause damage (again, she can rapidly spin these to cause severe damage a la senbonzakura), and she shields a Beast (Fortune) from harm because she wants it all to herself and cares nothing for the danger it poses to everyone else. This is someone who outwardly presents as beautiful and kind, but is ugly, vicious, cruel, and greedy on the inside. Beauty and the Beast, but the Beauty is evil in the ways a Beast could never be.

KOing Yukari in a single sweep, as well as almost impaling the unconscious and aegis. And even when pinned down, using still being selfish with fortune. Although apparently the video game shows how fortune actually acts, in difference to the movie where it was just rigging its wheel to death ray, and we never got its interactions with the death/resurrect wheel or its gambling going wrong. Nah it is def not luck based. I think it attacks on fixed pattern since the other video I saw also has it land on the kaja skill the first time it uses the roulette and 300 damage on the next.
Yeah I figured out the pattern immediately in FES, if you click on it slightly late right across the green spot you want to land on, you’ll land on it.
This is the one boss fight that I can say feels legitimately unfair because of the luck factor. I swear, he kept landing on the -300 HP one and would one shot all of my allies except for Akihiko. And granted, it is kinda my fault for neglecting Yukari's HP stat, but this wouldn't be a problem if we had some sort of EXP Share similar to P5R instead of making sure I keep everybody as evenly leveled as possible.
If someone is very under leveled a rare chest will appear and if you use a twilight fragment a clock appear and you can chose two characters to become the same level you currently are
Ngl I was gonna be pissed if that final Wheel move literally instakilled us all, resulting in a Game Over. Thankfully, ATLUS isn’t like that (unlike a certain company *cough cough* Square Enix) because I hated bullshit like that in other RPGs. 🤬 At least this fight isn’t too bad in this one, despite how easy you can exploit this in the older versions if you understand how it works and where it lands. 😅
As far as I've been able to see, you cannot do the Ghastly Wail trick because Fortune will never inflict status ailments. Based on doing the boss multiple times myself and checking videos of other people's playthroughs, the Wheel of Fortune is almost completely fixed. There's not even graphical variation in which spot the needle lands on. I've not yet seen Fortune land on anything besides Attack Up, 300 Damage, Defense Down, and Concentrate, and honestly I've only seen it in almost the exact order as this video with little variance. I tried to stall at different points and chip away HP slowly to see if it'll ever land on the other slices of the wheel, but after 5 or 6 total spins it just keeps doing (Ma)garudyne until you get its health low enough for that last death spin. (But it saves one of those normal spins for after Strength is out, it seems) It's probably for the best that it's not purely random so the fight can't become unreasonable, but it might have gone a little far. But it seems organic runs against the boss last about as long as the Wheel of Fortune paces out, so it was probably very specifically balanced.
To be honest so do I, he blows up at people one too many times for my liking and his perving on the girls is even worse than Ryuji’s attempts ontop of that. He does have a few good moments in the story but I just don’t think balances out to a likeable character . I love the rest of the cast though.
I'd say Aigis and Akihiko are good for this fight since fortune is weak to zio skills and bash attacks I used Aigis for buffs and as a back up heal and for orgia mode Yukari is an obvious option for this fight I don't really see how Junpei can help for this fight other then just spam slash and fire attacks
@hasshenjo6416 I'm not sure about reload, but in Portable Junpei has Marakukaja which buffs the entire party's defense. My MC buffed our attack, and I had Aigis boost our Accuracy/Evasion. Aside from Buffing I had him do the same as Aigis and use Physical skills
@@ncrveteranranger4454 yes Junpei still has this skill in reload but I chose Aigis so I don't have to waste my turn as the mc raising my attack stat not mention if Aigis and Junpei are both on the team that means I need to pick between Yukari for support or Aki to weaken the enemy and exploit the enemies weaknesses I'd say having Junpei Aigis and Yukari in portable but it's not the ideal team for reload when up against the strength and fortune

I see they got rid of the cheap tactic and have it base on luck. That ended up making this boss more difficult

Back in the day, this was the most painful boss fight because it was 90% luck, but I guess it looks somewhat better
It’s not luck at all the wheel is really easy to exploit in the older games.

Nah it's not even luck on portable, I found a way to cheese it if you click the little border line on red, it usually went on blue.

I think it's because Koromaru is faster and has fire attacks too so it renders Junpei a little useless once you get him
