That transition from the sliding brake to your house was really good...I just found your channel a couple of weeks ago because i just joined the jeep community and bought a 2014 JK Rubicon and I've been non stop watching your oldest to newest videos and man you can really tell how much you've inproved as a TH-camr... thank you for all the awesome videos you do
Great video. I'd just Luke to say I have a JKU sport with no lockers and I was running BFG KO2s at the time. I purchased the Orchish traction recovery boards. I only need them twice and I go wheeling about three times a week. The one time I was stuck in mud I used them to back up then I launched off of them and sent it making it across. The second time I was turtled spinning all four tire. This time they were twisted so bad under the wheels I thought they were going in the trash. After I got out of that situation I realized they were fine. No cracks. I didn't even loose a single stud and they returned 99% back to original shape. The Orchish boards were only about $80 - $90 I forget but yes they are great to have and I never leave home without them.
Happy to see you settled in and making some fun videos again. Your videos have helped me make some decisions when I am at a crossroads on a decision. Love the candid nature of your videos. Been considering a tent solution for my JK🤔
Ben, keep doing what you are doing. Your content is not ever boring to me. I like your step-by-step approach to your videos. I very much appreciate your deliberate approach. I am able to follow along. Even on stuff that I might not attempt myself due to my lack of welding and other experience-based skills. I watch with interest, knowing the art of the possible. Thanks for what you guys do on your channel. Cheers, Gary
Hello can you please provide instructions or make a video showing how you built the bed Rack. It's very interesting since the mounting brackets were installed under the Diamondback HD. Thank you.
I saw your ICECO video and bought one. We've always had a cooler with water in our SUV/cars. This is bar none best upgrade ever, we LOVE our fridge. Cold water and beer is always close by anywhere we go. thanks for that review.
Yeah, our mosquitos we have here in South Tx are pretty bad. Especially during this time of year. You should edit this video and add OFF, and Benadryl to ulls list of overlanding or off-roading usages. Lol! Great video! Ulls video in the passed, helped me select the right gears for my JT on 37s, literally a month ago. Both my wife and I saw it, then a week later, I showed her the video ull moved out here. Small world. Have fun guys and welcome.
I carry a cheap pair of traction boards around but I’ve never had to use them for the Jeep. On the other hand, I’ve used them on a car that was stuck in the snow and a full size dump truck that delivered dirt to our home and couldn’t get out of a incline where he’d dumped the dirt. I’m happy to say they worked flawlessly in both situations with the dump truck only wearing off two nubs. I couldn’t believe he didn’t completely ruin them. The driver was so impressed he was going to get some for himself.
Thumbs up for the Ethos barbell set! I've been training in my garage with the same set for the last 5 months. Between every set, I stare at my Jeep and ponder upgrades. Very dangerous.
Ben been doing a lot of thinking about how to set my Gladiator up. Was thinking dual battery but think I'm going to go with portable unit like you have. I'm quickly learning that Overlanding can be relatively easy and simple if you don't have much money. Nice video, keep them coming. Looks like you all are settling in nicely in TX. Semper Paratus.
Great video as always, nice to see the JT doing donuts in the mud with that tent on it! Just ordered a ROAM tent after for my JT on your rec, keep up the good work.
One thing to mention, much of this over landing gear can be utilized during a bad storm and/or natural disaster. Goal zero can power things when the power is off. Fridge to keep your stuff from spoiling. And if your lucky enough to have two water main breaks in the same week, you can use the water rotopax for drinking water etc.
Thanks for the video. What is that rack you have on top of your Diamondback bed cover? Can you still get inside your bed? Do they make them high enough to carry a kayak?
Might look into the rotopax. had a buddy run out of gas out at Rausch the other day. Just have to find a place to put it where it won't get ripped off or crushed.
What brand of bed cap is that? Are those RTT mounts specific to Roam? Thanks a bunch. We just bought a Gladiator and found your channel. Great content!
Hey Ben just letting you know that I enjoy your channel, I have been in the area that you move to, too hot and humid for me though LOL I'll stick with Southern Idaho
My group is going to hidden falls adventure park on October 16-18 if you wanna come out. Just about everyone is on tons so we’re gonna hit some pretty good trails
Thing about Overland boards need to keep in mind is not the spin the tires that’s what Tears the lugs off. KC didn’t spin your wheels and the boards were fine.
Here in Aus we love traction boards, not sure why the hate there. Maxtrax for the win, nearly indestructible way better than tredds. Especially here in Western Australia where we have sand just about every where, maxtrax are a saviour. Other than that solar panels for recharging batteries is good.
I have battery's pack too, I can charge with a portable solar panel so I can run my frig off the pack while charging with the panel. I use the battery for my cpap machine, coffee grinder and blender.
Thanks for all the great info on the JT. Love all the useful info you share and it is greatly appreciated. What is the bumper you are running on that and does the placement of the Baja lights cause any shadow problems with them that far back?
The Iceco runs 24/7 without killing the battery in the JT? Does it just should off with the battery protection or do you have a dual battery setup, or is it just that efficient?
Nice build! Do your 37s rub on ur control arms at all? I've got a 3.5" lift and 37s under my gladiator but there rubbing a bit. Not sure what offset I should be getting. I'll be checking out more of ur videos! Cheers Brock
My rotopack leaked while inside my Jeep. Was one of those 100 degree days in Cali and was getting off from work to the stench of fuel in the car no fun. Lingered for about a month
So do you ever have any problems with getting water in the Jeeps when you hit sudden rain like that? I've heard they are pretty much made to hand it for the most part, with all the seals around the gauges and such, but I think I'd still think twice before letter my JTR get rained out inside.
To be perfectly honest trac boards should be seen as disposable recovery gear get the cheapest ones and just thank them for getting you out then replace them. I hate the idea of throw away recovery gear but the 2oo dollar ones break just like the the 30 dollar ones
I’ve never understood the point of rotopacks. They’re tiny but still take up heaps of room. In Australia our standard jerry can most people have on their car is 20 litres (5 gallons) I just can’t see the point in holding less than that much as extra fuel
Works pretty good! Has no issues as long as you don’t let it sit for days in the jeep (the battery saver function kills the fridge before killing battery)
Thanks for the update. I'm a newcomer to your channel and I've been binge watching the gladiator videos. Just bought my first Jeep (22 Gladiator Rubicon). I'm learning a great amount so keep up the great content
Who saw that new upcoming project??? 🤔👀. Also, if your bored of me talking, skip to 18:00
I seen what looked like an ls on that stand.
Yup. Definitely an ls.
Ls swapping the jk?
HELL YEAH!!! LS swap....but for the JK or LJ!?!? Lol.
LS swap JK or LJ

Search, how to build an overland bed rack. I made a video on it
Best tip for cheaper traction boards is when the plastic nubs break, put a nut and bolt in its place. Way better than the plastic anyways.
I saw your ICECO video and bought one. We've always had a cooler with water in our SUV/cars. This is bar none best upgrade ever, we LOVE our fridge. Cold water and beer is always close by anywhere we go. thanks for that review.
HWY 48 trails, hell yea! I’ll be out there as soon as I get my new tires.
vamonos my transfercase wire i broke i cant wait to go outthee too
I've used my traction boards a few times at the beach to self recover, very handy.
V8 huh? can’t wait for that. I love my diabolical slipstream it made camping and loading the Jeep so much better.
I have been looking hard at tracking boards. Thanks for sharing, looks like fun.

We use our Jackery and some small usb fans on the front porch, when we sit outside on these hot and humid Southeast Texas nights.
Can't wait to use your LS swap videos as a guide when I do mine. Really curious to see how difficult it'll be without lifting the body off the frame.
Traction boards are a must especially when your out alone. I've seen them get a jeep out of quick sand.
That was a nice long video!!! I’m digging the LS on the stand! Can’t wait to see where that’s going🤔
I'm not sure who keeps saying your vids are too long. They could be an hour as far as i'm concerned lol
I don't miss that wind. Lived in Corpus for 5 years. Cool video.
I'm right there with you on the clean up. Today I spent 3 hours detailing, knowing I'm going back out in 4 days.
Thumbs up for the Ethos barbell set! I've been training in my garage with the same set for the last 5 months. Between every set, I stare at my Jeep and ponder upgrades. Very dangerous.
Glad to see you back! Cant wait to see the swap. I have the same year JKU so LOVE this channel!

Wait.... what’s that in the garage??
I still prefer my old steel jerry cans vs the expensive rotopacks
Granted. But I do like how these mount securely.
Can’t wait to see the process of LS swapping the JK
Love that spot by the port!!
My roof rack was a visual purchase at first, but has proven very useful for many things. My winch has done more yard work than recovery.
Good to know about the traction board out here in Colorado not quite such a necessity it definitely seemed more of a fad but solid
Glad you are back to posting again!
Great video as usual! ...dog still figuring out on-screen etiquette I see 😂😂
Some real motor to get rid of the 3.8 👍 wonder what gearbox you are going with!

I like that diamond bed cover But I want to have a bed rack which would work with the bed cover diamond .. which bed rack do u have?
Glad to see y'all back. How's the star's in Texas. Big & Brite I hear. Another great video...
Great / helpful video. What size is your rooftop tent?
I definitely want a jackery in my camping supplies! Then a roof top tent. Lol
Great Information, looking for affordable traction boards now!
I noticed the motor as soon as the video started. Another awesome (long) video series incoming! Lol
The kids are getting big!
Hey Ben just letting you know that I enjoy your channel, I have been in the area that you move to, too hot and humid for me though LOL I'll stick with Southern Idaho
Highly recommend Max Trax if you are looking at recovery boards or the Max Trax Xtreme as the teeth are alloy and can be replaced if you damage them
My group is going to hidden falls adventure park on October 16-18 if you wanna come out. Just about everyone is on tons so we’re gonna hit some pretty good trails

Other than that solar panels for recharging batteries is good.
Cool video. Good info. Thanks for sharing 👍
Was that an LS swap in the works for the jk?! 👀
I have battery's pack too, I can charge with a portable solar panel so I can run my frig off the pack while charging with the panel. I use the battery for my cpap machine, coffee grinder and blender.
Dual battery for accessories is a must ;)
you guys are lucky you have all the area to go off roading. Still thinking, gladiator or not
Then again if you carry the traction boards for a rare emergency I would say the quality doesn't matter if a few of the knubs break off.
Thanks for all the great info on the JT. Love all the useful info you share and it is greatly appreciated.
What is the bumper you are running on that and does the placement of the Baja lights cause any shadow problems with them that far back?
The Jackery looks like a great investment for sure.
Are you happy with the new head unit?
Is the glare bad with the sun shining on it??
I really like your videos love and peace from Pakistan 🇵🇰
Great video and nice JT! What bed rack do you have?
It’s one that I made myself
Where did you put your 37 inch spare tire at? Were you able to fit it underneath your truck???
What fenders are on your JK?
@4:47 what's that I see 👀
Are you v8 swapping the JKU? Inquiring minds want to know.
I like those light on the JK bumper, who makes them.
On the diamondback setup, how did you mount your rooftop tent?
I have see people make Trac boards with 2x10 or 2 x 12 and some bolts nuts and washers
Thanks for the information on the Rotopax. I have wondered about them. Were the mosquitos biting Cassie or were they ants?
Definitely mine would be some better headlights.
The Iceco runs 24/7 without killing the battery in the JT? Does it just should off with the battery protection or do you have a dual battery setup, or is it just that efficient?
Fire extinguisher options and mounts???
Nice build! Do your 37s rub on ur control arms at all? I've got a 3.5" lift and 37s under my gladiator but there rubbing a bit. Not sure what offset I should be getting. I'll be checking out more of ur videos! Cheers
Brock
You guys have to try Boca Chica Beach
Waiting for the county beaches to open up
JK Gear and Gadgets true, they keep on extending the date hopefully they open soon awesome channel by the way
My rotopack leaked while inside my Jeep. Was one of those 100 degree days in Cali and was getting off from work to the stench of fuel in the car no fun. Lingered for about a month
That blows. :-(

Sweet,... motor swap coming!!!
To be perfectly honest trac boards should be seen as disposable recovery gear get the cheapest ones and just thank them for getting you out then replace them. I hate the idea of throw away recovery gear but the 2oo dollar ones break just like the the 30 dollar ones
were did you do i want to try that place?
Which is best gladiator or wrangler
I’ve never understood the point of rotopacks. They’re tiny but still take up heaps of room. In Australia our standard jerry can most people have on their car is 20 litres (5 gallons) I just can’t see the point in holding less than that much as extra fuel
LS swap coming .. HELL YEAH !!!
I have been watching your channel for a while and its cool
From Saudi Arabia 2014 JKU RUBICON
Ls swaps are fun
Will the Jackery start your truck should your battery die?
🤣🤣🤣 she sacrificed you to the mosquitoes. 🤣
Don’t wanna break the control arms on your Jeep… lol
Hi Ben and Cassie. Say why did you go with Jackerry vs Goal Zero Yeti?
200w is going to limit what kind of items you will be able to power.
Nice. You should have messaged us. We'd of gone with ya. Lol
Looks as if you guys did what I did...relocated from Virginia to Florida ?
OK I’m curious what is the motor on the stand
Hint: V8
JK Gear and Gadgets lol where we putting it?
Hint: Inna Jeep
JK Gear and Gadgets lol fair enough!
Wild guess 5.3 LS and 4L65
How's the fridge working out in the Texas heat?
Works pretty good! Has no issues as long as you don’t let it sit for days in the jeep (the battery saver function kills the fridge before killing battery)
But we are in Oklahoma now haha
Thanks for the update. I'm a newcomer to your channel and I've been binge watching the gladiator videos. Just bought my first Jeep (22 Gladiator Rubicon). I'm learning a great amount so keep up the great content
Not clear on which traction boards you have, are they the one you linked to Amazon or a different brand? Thanks for sharing.
They were from silver fox Offroad, but i think they are out of business lol
They are similar to the ones I linked
@@JKGearandGadgets I've tried finding the on the net , couldn't find them so like you said they're probably out of business. Thanks for the reply.
which bed rack do u have?
Homemade
Over landing, just a fancy new way of saying, "Camping"! Why do we need to change it?
what bed cover is that?
Diamondback, with a rack I made myself
I want a fridge and on of those battery’s
We are going wheeling tomorrow yall should come
I just bought a Jeep Wrangler Sport Unlimited... I’m Going To Upload On My Channel Soon!!! I Love It!!! 👑♈️👑
23 mpg on my 2021 Diesel JT
Lol I thought you painted your JK yellow at the beginning of the video
Hahah yeah some crazy lighting was going on with the camera
