I can imagine a scene where Yang and Blake are too awkward for officially kiss but Weiss gets sick of it and just tells them to quit being weird about it and do it already. Definitely can see that happening lol.
I don't think so, They'll find each other in the woods and between their pent up feelings, greif from thinking they won't see each other, and the privacy of being alone with nobody around, and it will be on..... Then Jaune will stumble in and ruin it before it gets too steamy
I agree that if something is going to happen for Bumblebee, this is the time. There have been plenty of hints over the last couple of volumes, they stepped right up to the threshold of something happening when everyone reunited at the Schnee Manor, and this "I thought you were dead!" situation is tailor-made to break down those last barriers of hesitation. There's one thing that might throw a wrench in the works here, at least initially. Picture this: Yang is walking along the beach, and suddenly sees Blake ahead of her in the distance. In disbelief and overwhelmed by the flood of emotions, Yang shouts to Blake and starts rushing toward her, ready to confess everything. Blake turns around, and her eyes widen in surprise as she sees Yang. They rush towards each other, Yang still shouting incoherently, when she hears Blake's voice in reply...from off to the side. Yang skids to a halt as she sees another Blake emerge from the jungle calling to her...while the initial "Blake's" eyes suddenly narrow in annoyance and we see a certain parasol appear in her hand as she keeps rushing towards Yang...and so on. That would certainly put the brakes on any heartfelt confessions right then. I think it's virtually guaranteed that the process of everyone finding each other in Wonderland is going to be disrupted by Neo impersonating at least one of the other characters, and Yang is the most likely one to be taken by surprise in that sort of scenario. Since she was the first to fall (and is therefore the only one who doesn't know Neo is also down there), she's the only one who wouldn't know to be suspicious of anyone she encounters who doesn't immediately speak.
Lindsay, Kara, Arryn and Barbara took part in a panel mid-october (Toronto and I think it remains their latest to this date). They were asked what has been their favorite scene to act so far and very interestingly, Arryn responded that her favorite scene "hasn't happened yet". I really think she was referencing a scene between Blake and Yang in the coming V9 where the topic of Bumblebee will very much be on the table :) So I'd say you're completely right that BB will go through a defining moment during V9. And I 100% agree with your take, namely that it would make sense to NOT go further in their relationship as long as their battles are on.
I'm also curious to see whether Lancaster makes any progress during this next season, since some of the dynamics in play for Bumblebee would also apply between Ruby and Jaune. There are a lot of potential topics that would make sense for emotional conversations between them that have been building up since the end of volume 3 (e.g. the circumstances and emotional impact of Pyrrha's death, and the overwhelming challenges of helping to lead the resistance against Salem), plus there's now the issue of Penny's death. Maybe the ship moves forward and maybe it doesn't, but I'd really like to see some good dialogue between those two.
Likewise, there's groundwork for White Knight that exists now that didn't at the start of the series, not to mention Jaune and Weiss are entirely different personalities than their vol 1 selves. And they were the last two standing, they know exactly how dire things were, and Weiss I think is uniquely positioned to understand (and accept) why he had to kill Penny. Likewise again for Weiss being there to support Ruby through what is clearly her toughest moments. Honestly, there's a lot of shipping potential all around. Blake and Yang are kinda spoken for, but Weiss, Ruby, and Jaune, it could really go any way.
As a fan of black sun since volume 1, I can undeniably say that I want black sun over bumblebee. However from my perspective, it is obvious that both Yang and Sun are in love with Blake but I can't tell who Blake is in love with.
Maybe she loves both of them but I doubt rwby has the bravery to put a polygamous ship in their show, blake and yang spend a lot more time together, being on the same team and all. So in my mind they will end up together. Also blake can slap sun but not yang lol.
I agree that there is no better chance for BB to become canon than now. However, I can think there is a scenario where Jaune could be the one to make Bumblebee happen. It's either Jaune encountering Blake or Yang or after they've all reunited and Jaune can see how Blake and Yang are acting around each other, but they still haven't done anything. So Jaune has a one-on-one talk with either of them and he tells the truth about the night Pyrrha died. That she kissed him before she died fighting Cinder. He explains that all the signs were there but he was too naive to see them and when it finally became clear to him, it was too late. He tells them that in a world where your life could end at any moment, if you have feelings for someone, tell them. Jaune says that he had his chance, but he waited too long, so he lost it. And he doesn't want them to make the same mistake he did. So he encourages them to confess their feelings now and he even goes so far to say that if they don't, he will. That could be one reason why Jaune will be a big part of this volume. To make sure Blake and Yang take their chance. It would show how mature he's become and how much he cares about his friends happiness. While you're on the subject of Volume 9 relationships, why not do one about how White Knight could become canon this season too? Point out all the little clues since Volume 5 up to the battle in the Void. Volume 9 could also be the perfect chance for White Knight to happen. It's really gotten more popular
I want Blake to run into Jaune first and she sees him on the ground hugging his knees she runs over and he tells her that Penny is dead and it is all his fault, I don't support Knight Shade but I would like to see Jaune and Blake interact more as they barely have
I mean she was the first to hug him when they saw Team JNPR again in Volume 6. 😁 But yes, it would be nice. I'm also a big fan or male/female platonic friendships. You don't see many of those often. 😊

More than anything I want Blake and Yang to talk things out like Ren and Nora did in volume 8, they will have more time to do so since this will be a cool-down part of the story that focuses on building the relationships between the characters. The lack of communication about everything that happened between them was the one thing holding me back from completely loving the ship
To be fair I thought Bumblebee would already kiss in volume 8 when Blake and Yang reunited at the Schnee manor, but no we got 2 hugs one between Yang and Ruby and another between Yang and Weiss and we got a rather awkward hand on cheeck and blushing moment with Blake. I would had laughed if the others (Ruby, Weiss, Ren and Jaune, even Nora from upstairs from her bed) yelled: *Kiss already!!* xD. As for the ships, I don't really care that much about Blake sun as the Bumblebee gets hinted to so much already, I also like White Rose as Weiss and Ruby are partners, but I don't see them going out much together like Blake and Yang who go clubbing with team FNKI. As for the changes I do hope we get a bit of training time and then Ruby can break out of the dimension with her silver eyes. Opening a rift as both the Silver eyes and Ambrosius trace back to the god of light. But if the place they fell really is Yggdrasil, I can see some really emotional scenarios, like Penny crossing over to the realm of the Dead (as her body fell into the void as well). I can see Jaune finally being able to talk with Pyrrha in this realm of the dead. I can see Neo finally getting the news that Roman is not there, so we get some confirmation that he survived the grimm swallowing him whole. Jacque as well as he got shot down by Ironwood (and Ironwood as well) but who really care about them at this point.
Yeah it opens with them embracing but then Jaune will tell everyone that he killed penny in order to grant her final wish that was to pass the winter maiden powers onto someone she trusts, but Ruby will only hear the I killed Penny part so she will be emotionally angry constantly hitting Jaune chest plate and Weiss will slap her and tell her to get a grip and think about Jaune he's the kindest and most gentle person we know do you really think he would kill a friend he cared so much about Jaune has lost Pyrrha and now Penny don't act like you're the only person torn up about this, and then Weiss starts panting so Jaune hugs Weiss, then Yang and Blake also hug Jaune then Ruby finally calms herself and tells Jaune to hit her back but Jaune just boops her nose and said he'll never harm a friend again, then they hug
There are still those (dozen or more?) evacuees Cinder blew/knocked into the abyss before Yang fell. More likely that Yang will meet up with them first. Helping each other to survive in the other realm till they can meet up with Blake and the others.

Yeah true. I still do not agree with that disgusting ship. It just feels so forced, and I don’t like one bit. I made a previous comment in the main thread of this video explaining my distaste of Bumblebee and all of the so-called “post-Beacon” volumes.

Well, about those still discussing the ship, I just think that Blake's charactet development doesn't really lean on Sun himself. Of course he had a part, but all she did was return home, get entangled with the White Fang yet again, and deal with Sun being hurt - a *deja vu* of Yang getting hurt to protect her (Sun says so himself, he knows she's hurting because of that, mainly). So this is Blake finding herself, her path, thanks to a series of different events and people who help her grow out of her shell, step on her fears, change, be more mature. She won't run away anymore, that's something she learnt living, trying - and Sun did support her, but his own attempt was open up about friends protecting her for their self-interest, then proceeding to mention Yang _himself_ (because he KNOWS). With Yang it was different - they were broken apart so rudely, so suddenly, Blake kept blaming herself and regretting, Yang kept hurting and hurting. Their relationship was in a halt, still and frozen, they did not know how to feel about themselves after breaking apart (and Yang was still so upset that she was left behind, something many others did to her, and yet why was she so upset with Blake specifically?).
Though I do believe volume 9 will give Blake and Yang's relationship time to grow, I am more concerned with how Jaune is going to cope with having killed Penny and how the others will treat him.
@@GlowBerryPumpkin the only one that was there when it happened was Weiss, but I'm not sure if she actually saw that he killed Penny, because she was busy fighting for her life against Cinder and everything happened so fast (from her prospective). So she wouldn't necessarily be a good witness on his behalf.
I definitely think BB will happen this volume. I also think this one's going to be more emotional than action packed, especially when Ruby finds out what happened to Penny. I mentioned this before, but I can imagine team RWBY and Jaune (and maybe Neo) gathered around Penny as she is buried on on the island in the alternate world, similar fashion to the way Harry Potter and friends buried Dobby if you get my references.
I don't think they have the gall to not go through with not having Bumblebee happen at this point. They're in way too deep and spent too many years building it up and catering to fans of it.
Well they know they get more out of the ship and shippers if they don't make it happen. I think in one of the volume commentaries miles even says "we'll never confirm anything. Because it's fun" lol

Here’s my thoughts on it. Bumblebee has a great reputation. Black sun is better character development especially for Blake. Sun is the best supporting character in the series period. Yang was never helping Blake develop as a character except for the moment they had in V2. I don’t mind if the writers hold off on Bumblebee for a while so Blake can figure things out first.They can have a moment like Ren and Nora then hold it off for a while

Yet I'm not suprised you didn't get as much likes bc you mentioned Black Sun having the most development and Sun being the best support character within the series and I completely agree on those two points . I do believe Blake and yang are close but it would also be smart to not rush the ship just bc they were friends in the past bc of they do it wouldn't feel natural . Especially considering that Yang and Blake in vol.1 - 3 were just friends bc if they weren't why why would Blake blush at Sun in vital festival in vol 3 while sitting next to yang y'know ? . So I agree , if the writters are going to do this do it realisticly with more development to make it more efficient . Not to mention Sun reaaallyy helped Blake develop like ... a lot . From Encouraging her that she looked better without the hair Boe which implies for her to just be herself with her natural Faunus bueaty and not trying to act human . , He helped her through multiple White Fang Encounters as the White Fang was a major part of her past and family history , he helped Blake open up to him when she didn't even open up to her own team when they found out she was a faunus and she ran ( she must've felt comfortable with being around Sun bc for two days she was with him in vol.1 ) . Vol.4 he helped her gain confidence in herself and told her that she doesn't have control over the people who want to help her in her life as she shouldn't ever push them back . ( " he said I promise , yang would say the same " even tho yang in vol.5 wanted nothing to do with Blake until the finale lol . ) so the development is there for Black Sun but in order to make it more efficient I think they need to really stretch out bumblebee instead of putting up very small things and calling it Volumes worth of development.
At this point, I just want them to get it over with and confirm it already. RT has strung the fan base on long enough. I just wonder what they're gonna do with poor Sun when he inevitably returns.

I think that if Yang ran into anyone first, it most likely would be Jaune and she just finds him as an absolute mess, broken up over their failure to protect the lamp, and the staff and at the same time, the fact he killed Penny. I would say he would lash out and blame Yang for their failure but that would require the writers have their characters admit they aren't perfect, so instead I can see her helping him with this, pushing her own grief aside for the moment and him in turn helping her deal with her own problems. Adding with him telling her he was a fool for not telling the girl he loved how he felt when he had the chance, so she shouldn't do the same and promise him that when they find Blake, she'll tell the girl how she feels. Blake on her side would most likely do the same as while I think the whole time thing will have those stuck in this new world age slowly compared to Remnant, the fact of the matter is she thought she was dead from anywhere from an hour or two to maybe a feel if it takes them a while to find one another. She's not going to let fate mess with them again and I can see her vowing to tell how she she feels at the first opportunity. As for who she runs into, maybe Weiss as I would really like to see her question her as to why she and Yang went behind everyone's back and told Robyn sensitive information when they went off on both Ozpin and Ironwood for keeping secrets from the group. It would lead to some great drama but once more, I seriously doubt they'll ever bring it up. Though, these are just my thoughts and while I don't really care all that much for Bumblebee, I do agree that V9 is the make it break point as if they don't do anything in this volume, then it's dead.

I'm not a shipper. But I like the idea of Vol9 finally letting the core team go through character development that actually focuses on their relationship with each other.
People keep forgetting the civilians that fell before Yang. I imagine Yang would be in the beginnings of forming a base camp as a de facto leader being the only established Huntresses among civilians. Also: the other relm could be a Narnia thing. They could be there for year's and return as the age they entered.
Bumblebee is one of my favorite ships. In my opinion, I think there will be at least one trial between Blake and Yang to test their hearts. Also I think both of them will other people and allow them to help them carry their emotional burden.

This next season will be a watershed moment for the series. Aside from everything happening back in Remnant, what happens in this other realm/world will be key to what's set up for Season 10, 11, or whatever the final season is slated to be. That said, I do hope that we do get three things from this season: Ruby and Neo working out their differences and Neo realizing that she doesn't have to kill Ruby to get her revenge. Jaune and Ruby or Weiss having a moment of their own, and finally Yang and Blake confirming their feelings. It's one of the sub-plots of the series that has been building and building for far too long, and it needs to come to either a resolution, or an end. Either they do commit, or not. Personally, I'm okay either way, but seeing as how much the fandom has invested in Bumblebee, RT and the CRWBY would be committing a massive error if they didn't address it.
I suspect Blake will start the volume with alot of self loathing, feeling she broke her promise to Yang...who may end up having to kiss some sense into her.
Blacksun forever baby! I like Blake and Sun together because their chemistry was entertaining. Also I truly believe they were supposed to be together before the shippers made the show change the outcome. Either way I’ll always be a fan no matter who Blake ends up with, shipping is not my biggest interest in the show.
I would love for Blake and yang to finally become a thing. Another thing I would like to happen, and I know there are a few reasons to why this won’t is that I would like for Blake to just get a call from her parents telling her that she’s going to have a little brother or sister if you know what I mean.
I wonder how other relationships would change if there is a time difference, I wonder as someone who ships Jaune and Weiss if those two will grow closer and what about Oscar and Ruby, they seamed to be getting closer as well what happens when Ruby returns and she is now 2 years order or so, that would make the age gap bigger.
I think Jaune and Weiss meeting back up in the other world would be interesting to see how they support one another. I also think Oscar's and Ruby's reunion would be cute and awkward.
Like I mentioned after the last video, that's one reason why I suspect any time difference would work in the other direction (time moves faster for Remnant rather than slower).

Far as ships between Bumblebee and, Black Sun it's best I don't say anything in fear exploding the comment section up bring fourth negative reaction that the Grimm will no longer haunt remnants but come to Earth haunt us instead. Lol. No for real, I hope each character has their chance grown up a bit and, I think they need their heads on straight. They are in unfamiliar world most likely have to survive in for a time. However, I do imagine there going to be flowing tears with each union among the girls and John.
The people I can most likely pair up in the other realm are Neo and Jaune, for the reason of Jaune being the character that can actually talk Neo out of her sole focus on revenge on Rubels. He seems so cool headed enough and not be a quick to fight the Ice Cream (ie. Any of team RWBY) Blake and Weiss, for the reason of they can be the most grounded of the main team. They would be able to assess the situation and not just start blasting things, *coughs at Ruby and Yang destroying most of the Emerald forest* And finally Ruby and Yang, honestly we need to hash out the underlying issues regarding the sisters, such as how they have been handling situations.
I believe that it could work out either way. The writers would see which ship is most popular and then decided if they feel strongly enough about it and then make their choice. But I personally hope that bumblebee won't work out and that blacksun gets a second chance. I feel that everything is far too serious right now for Blake and Yang to start a relationship right now. But with Sun, he's a lot more laid back and they'd be on Remnant giving a bit more stability to blacksun. But honestly I feel like things should go back to everyone being like sisters and taking on struggles as a family like they did up until volume 3 when romantic love wasn't as focused on.
if the time different is there as mentioned than team rwby has enough time to sort our things like relationships and a better battle plan if they manage to return to their own world
I hated it when Blake thought yang died. Blake got to scream and cry but then they Ruby her own sister just quietly says her name all they had to do is switch Ruby and Blake around and it would have been so much better.
No news since when it was announced V9 was delayed to 2022 and that was... more than three months ago ! I hope a new update will be given before Christmas, even if it is to say that no release date can be announced yet. Being left in the dark would be inappropriate imo.
Legit question. No shade, but why do people like the concept of Bumblebee so much? Blake and Sun definitely had great chemistry volumes 1 - 4. Why is everyone how Shipping her and Yang?

In my honest opinion, I think the chances of either Bumblebee or Black Sun happening are 50/50 at this point. Volumes 6, 7, & 8 had some really good Bumblebee moments, but I personally saw all of those moments as platonic. Yang's concern when she and the JNPR boys were stuck in the shack I just saw as her being afraid that if she and Blake had differing viewpoints, Blake would run away again and leave her behind (Yang still has abandonment issues because of Raven, so I wouldn't it past Yang to think that). When Blake, who over the course of two years finally realized just how much Yang has done for her and been there for her as a friend, yelled out to Yang when she fell, I saw it as Blake being distraught over losing her closest friend again, only this time it wasn't because of something she did and in end she couldn't do anything to stop it. On the other hand, Blake had many moments with Sun during Volumes 4, 5, and the beginning of 6. That being said, both Bumblebee and Black Sun had a scene that hinted at the romance being a thing for me. Blake and Yang's reunion in Volume 8 (Where they rest their foreheads together), and Blake and Sun going their separate ways in Volume 6 (Where Blake gives Sun a kiss on the cheek before she leaves on the train). Personally, I'm sold more on Black Sun because of the kiss, but if Volume 9 does something to cement Bumblebee as the canon ship, I'll be all for it. After what Blake has been through in her life, she and whoever she decides to go for deserve to be happy together. Either way, Blake is going to end up with a hot blonde so regardless of what happens, I see it as an absolute win for her.
I would prefer if Blake and Sun were together. But I know Blake and Yang being together is important to a lot of people, so I want that too. Perfect solution? Black/Bumblebee. Love is not a finite commodity. It also creates the possibility for some, what could be, really funny interactions with Blake trying to keep Sun and Yang from killing each other while they adjust to the idea of sharing. :)
I personally see BB getting together if its brought up, because that's what the story has been building up. If anything its the "will it be brought up" that's the debatable part. I'd say yes it will cause Renora got their "big kiss" in v6 and now its BB's turn. The feelings are already canon via Nora bringing up in universe there being more to them, which no writer is going to do unless setting the stage for romance. Especially for an LGBT+ pairing that's been so thoroughly setup that nothing else comes close to being able to logically match it. I leave the timing aspect to the writers for them to "pull the trigger" when they feel it right, since I have little to no doubts about BB happening. Also BS interactions in Vacuo are likely just going to be brotp like they were in v5, as both parties have realized that's the best dynamic for them.
I think your time scale is a little to extreme and if the magic system their familiar with is bound to remnant they may not have their semblances or even aura.
I honestly could give even less of a c about this ship, but I'm just going to say this now: If they reunite within the end of the premiere, it cements what I've said about Yang and Ruby ever since Blake came back in V6: Blake and Yang will never become characters if this happens.
I still do see raven being still possible to save team JRWBY + N Ruby is still family ... So why shouldn't she get a favor? Given only one? Given yes it is too easy. I would love to hear a better solution. But just a neat chat. I wonder how Raven would React to neo. Again. Attacking yang (given the circumstance)
I don't care either way, but they do seem to be trying to cram it down our throats. But I am phobic of romance so that could just be me. Anyway, if it works it works, and if not, oh well. However, it does seem to me that they're being a bit, "Look at how inclusive we are," and not really trying to give it much substance. I was first able to pick up on it halfway through volume six and was kind of hoping against it because I still don't see why it matters. I can watch romance if it's done well, but this just doesn't seem to fit into the plot very well. It seems to me that they put it in just so they can say they did. Honestly, Blake and Yang aren't my favorite characters in the show, but, if done well, it could work. I'm still hoping they don't take it that way as there are other, more important, things to deal with, like the fate of the world, for example, but I'm expecting the opposite. Always hope, never expect. Words to live by.
Hey guys, what do you think of this idea?; A reboot/ reimagining of the show where the characters waste no time in forming relationships, and Ruby in one with a character we haven't seen before?

Sorry, haven't seen a bumblebee video in a while and got heated* Whatever the resolution, I just want the bumblebee thing decided and ended this volume. If they don't get together maybe Blake and Yang can finally be friends with other people. If they do get together please don't spend the rest of the show constantly going back to show how in love they are every scene that they are in together. I think bumblebee has been a detriment to the characters as a whole because of how singularly focused on each other the girls have been so I would like for them to realize their relationship has become more a obsessive desperation/insecure attachment for them to not be separated than the actual companionship they seemed to show in the first 3 volumes. Everyone knows what the grievances are surrounding this ship so I'm not going to start getting into specifics but nothing about their "love" reads as healthy to me. Shared trauma does not equate communication. Declarations to your opponent is not a conversation with your partner. Rooster Teeth actually handled trying to take a closeness formed with your friend/trauma partner and building a romantic relationship well with Ren and Nora. I doubt they can take where the bumblebee relationship currently is and actually deal with the past issues since they have been pretty clearly showing that the girls are "over" the issue of Blake abandoning Yang. Seriously, I've written a healthier relationship than this between character's that were DESIGNED for codependency. Not all relationships need to be healthy or are unable to become healthy, but the writers slapped a band aide on the broken leg that is bumblebee and act like the only relationship drama that exists anymore is "when will they finally be official?"
I can imagine a scene where Yang and Blake are too awkward for officially kiss but Weiss gets sick of it and just tells them to quit being weird about it and do it already. Definitely can see that happening lol.

I agree that if something is going to happen for Bumblebee, this is the time. There have been plenty of hints over the last couple of volumes, they stepped right up to the threshold of something happening when everyone reunited at the Schnee Manor, and this "I thought you were dead!" situation is tailor-made to break down those last barriers of hesitation.
There's one thing that might throw a wrench in the works here, at least initially. Picture this: Yang is walking along the beach, and suddenly sees Blake ahead of her in the distance. In disbelief and overwhelmed by the flood of emotions, Yang shouts to Blake and starts rushing toward her, ready to confess everything. Blake turns around, and her eyes widen in surprise as she sees Yang. They rush towards each other, Yang still shouting incoherently, when she hears Blake's voice in reply...from off to the side. Yang skids to a halt as she sees another Blake emerge from the jungle calling to her...while the initial "Blake's" eyes suddenly narrow in annoyance and we see a certain parasol appear in her hand as she keeps rushing towards Yang...and so on. That would certainly put the brakes on any heartfelt confessions right then. I think it's virtually guaranteed that the process of everyone finding each other in Wonderland is going to be disrupted by Neo impersonating at least one of the other characters, and Yang is the most likely one to be taken by surprise in that sort of scenario. Since she was the first to fall (and is therefore the only one who doesn't know Neo is also down there), she's the only one who wouldn't know to be suspicious of anyone she encounters who doesn't immediately speak.
Lindsay, Kara, Arryn and Barbara took part in a panel mid-october (Toronto and I think it remains their latest to this date).
They were asked what has been their favorite scene to act so far and very interestingly, Arryn responded that her favorite scene "hasn't happened yet".
I really think she was referencing a scene between Blake and Yang in the coming V9 where the topic of Bumblebee will very much be on the table :)
So I'd say you're completely right that BB will go through a defining moment during V9.
And I 100% agree with your take, namely that it would make sense to NOT go further in their relationship as long as their battles are on.
I'm also curious to see whether Lancaster makes any progress during this next season, since some of the dynamics in play for Bumblebee would also apply between Ruby and Jaune. There are a lot of potential topics that would make sense for emotional conversations between them that have been building up since the end of volume 3 (e.g. the circumstances and emotional impact of Pyrrha's death, and the overwhelming challenges of helping to lead the resistance against Salem), plus there's now the issue of Penny's death. Maybe the ship moves forward and maybe it doesn't, but I'd really like to see some good dialogue between those two.
Likewise, there's groundwork for White Knight that exists now that didn't at the start of the series, not to mention Jaune and Weiss are entirely different personalities than their vol 1 selves. And they were the last two standing, they know exactly how dire things were, and Weiss I think is uniquely positioned to understand (and accept) why he had to kill Penny.
Likewise again for Weiss being there to support Ruby through what is clearly her toughest moments.
Honestly, there's a lot of shipping potential all around. Blake and Yang are kinda spoken for, but Weiss, Ruby, and Jaune, it could really go any way.
As a fan of black sun since volume 1, I can undeniably say that I want black sun over bumblebee. However from my perspective, it is obvious that both Yang and Sun are in love with Blake but I can't tell who Blake is in love with.
Maybe she loves both of them but I doubt rwby has the bravery to put a polygamous ship in their show, blake and yang spend a lot more time together, being on the same team and all. So in my mind they will end up together. Also blake can slap sun but not yang lol.

I agree that there is no better chance for BB to become canon than now. However, I can think there is a scenario where Jaune could be the one to make Bumblebee happen. It's either Jaune encountering Blake or Yang or after they've all reunited and Jaune can see how Blake and Yang are acting around each other, but they still haven't done anything. So Jaune has a one-on-one talk with either of them and he tells the truth about the night Pyrrha died. That she kissed him before she died fighting Cinder. He explains that all the signs were there but he was too naive to see them and when it finally became clear to him, it was too late. He tells them that in a world where your life could end at any moment, if you have feelings for someone, tell them. Jaune says that he had his chance, but he waited too long, so he lost it. And he doesn't want them to make the same mistake he did. So he encourages them to confess their feelings now and he even goes so far to say that if they don't, he will. That could be one reason why Jaune will be a big part of this volume. To make sure Blake and Yang take their chance. It would show how mature he's become and how much he cares about his friends happiness. While you're on the subject of Volume 9 relationships, why not do one about how White Knight could become canon this season too? Point out all the little clues since Volume 5 up to the battle in the Void. Volume 9 could also be the perfect chance for White Knight to happen. It's really gotten more popular

More than anything I want Blake and Yang to talk things out like Ren and Nora did in volume 8, they will have more time to do so since this will be a cool-down part of the story that focuses on building the relationships between the characters. The lack of communication about everything that happened between them was the one thing holding me back from completely loving the ship

To be fair I thought Bumblebee would already kiss in volume 8 when Blake and Yang reunited at the Schnee manor, but no we got 2 hugs one between Yang and Ruby and another between Yang and Weiss and we got a rather awkward hand on cheeck and blushing moment with Blake.
I would had laughed if the others (Ruby, Weiss, Ren and Jaune, even Nora from upstairs from her bed) yelled: *Kiss already!!* xD.
As for the ships, I don't really care that much about Blake sun as the Bumblebee gets hinted to so much already, I also like White Rose as Weiss and Ruby are partners, but I don't see them going out much together like Blake and Yang who go clubbing with team FNKI.
As for the changes I do hope we get a bit of training time and then Ruby can break out of the dimension with her silver eyes. Opening a rift as both the Silver eyes and Ambrosius trace back to the god of light.
But if the place they fell really is Yggdrasil, I can see some really emotional scenarios, like Penny crossing over to the realm of the Dead (as her body fell into the void as well).
I can see Jaune finally being able to talk with Pyrrha in this realm of the dead.
I can see Neo finally getting the news that Roman is not there, so we get some confirmation that he survived the grimm swallowing him whole.
Jacque as well as he got shot down by Ironwood (and Ironwood as well) but who really care about them at this point.
I'm more invested in the interactions between Jaune and Ruby.
That one will be more of a gut punch than anyone else's.
Yeah it opens with them embracing but then Jaune will tell everyone that he killed penny in order to grant her final wish that was to pass the winter maiden powers onto someone she trusts, but Ruby will only hear the I killed Penny part so she will be emotionally angry constantly hitting Jaune chest plate and Weiss will slap her and tell her to get a grip and think about Jaune he's the kindest and most gentle person we know do you really think he would kill a friend he cared so much about Jaune has lost Pyrrha and now Penny don't act like you're the only person torn up about this, and then Weiss starts panting so Jaune hugs Weiss, then Yang and Blake also hug Jaune then Ruby finally calms herself and tells Jaune to hit her back but Jaune just boops her nose and said he'll never harm a friend again, then they hug

Maybe when Yang and Blake find each other, they won't say anything, but rather they'll go right into exchanging saliva immediately.
There are still those (dozen or more?) evacuees Cinder blew/knocked into the abyss before Yang fell. More likely that Yang will meet up with them first. Helping each other to survive in the other realm till they can meet up with Blake and the others.

Well, about those still discussing the ship, I just think that Blake's charactet development doesn't really lean on Sun himself. Of course he had a part, but all she did was return home, get entangled with the White Fang yet again, and deal with Sun being hurt - a *deja vu* of Yang getting hurt to protect her (Sun says so himself, he knows she's hurting because of that, mainly). So this is Blake finding herself, her path, thanks to a series of different events and people who help her grow out of her shell, step on her fears, change, be more mature. She won't run away anymore, that's something she learnt living, trying - and Sun did support her, but his own attempt was open up about friends protecting her for their self-interest, then proceeding to mention Yang _himself_ (because he KNOWS).
With Yang it was different - they were broken apart so rudely, so suddenly, Blake kept blaming herself and regretting, Yang kept hurting and hurting. Their relationship was in a halt, still and frozen, they did not know how to feel about themselves after breaking apart (and Yang was still so upset that she was left behind, something many others did to her, and yet why was she so upset with Blake specifically?).
Though I do believe volume 9 will give Blake and Yang's relationship time to grow, I am more concerned with how Jaune is going to cope with having killed Penny and how the others will treat him.
They may treat Jaune harshly but they will inevitably forgive him because he's a protagonist.
@@GlowBerryPumpkin the only one that was there when it happened was Weiss, but I'm not sure if she actually saw that he killed Penny, because she was busy fighting for her life against Cinder and everything happened so fast (from her prospective). So she wouldn't necessarily be a good witness on his behalf.
I definitely think BB will happen this volume. I also think this one's going to be more emotional than action packed, especially when Ruby finds out what happened to Penny. I mentioned this before, but I can imagine team RWBY and Jaune (and maybe Neo) gathered around Penny as she is buried on on the island in the alternate world, similar fashion to the way Harry Potter and friends buried Dobby if you get my references.
I don't think they have the gall to not go through with not having Bumblebee happen at this point. They're in way too deep and spent too many years building it up and catering to fans of it.
Well they know they get more out of the ship and shippers if they don't make it happen.

It really irks me the wrong way that the obvious chemistry between Sun and Blake was just derailed out of nowhere.
Here’s my thoughts on it. Bumblebee has a great reputation. Black sun is better character development especially for Blake. Sun is the best supporting character in the series period. Yang was never helping Blake develop as a character except for the moment they had in V2. I don’t mind if the writers hold off on Bumblebee for a while so Blake can figure things out first.They can have a moment like Ren and Nora then hold it off for a while

Vol.4 he helped her gain confidence in herself and told her that she doesn't have control over the people who want to help her in her life as she shouldn't ever push them back .
( " he said I promise , yang would say the same " even tho yang in vol.5 wanted nothing to do with Blake until the finale lol . ) so the development is there for Black Sun but in order to make it more efficient I think they need to really stretch out bumblebee instead of putting up very small things and calling it Volumes worth of development.

I think that if Yang ran into anyone first, it most likely would be Jaune and she just finds him as an absolute mess, broken up over their failure to protect the lamp, and the staff and at the same time, the fact he killed Penny.
I would say he would lash out and blame Yang for their failure but that would require the writers have their characters admit they aren't perfect, so instead I can see her helping him with this, pushing her own grief aside for the moment and him in turn helping her deal with her own problems. Adding with him telling her he was a fool for not telling the girl he loved how he felt when he had the chance, so she shouldn't do the same and promise him that when they find Blake, she'll tell the girl how she feels.
Blake on her side would most likely do the same as while I think the whole time thing will have those stuck in this new world age slowly compared to Remnant, the fact of the matter is she thought she was dead from anywhere from an hour or two to maybe a feel if it takes them a while to find one another. She's not going to let fate mess with them again and I can see her vowing to tell how she she feels at the first opportunity.
As for who she runs into, maybe Weiss as I would really like to see her question her as to why she and Yang went behind everyone's back and told Robyn sensitive information when they went off on both Ozpin and Ironwood for keeping secrets from the group. It would lead to some great drama but once more, I seriously doubt they'll ever bring it up.
Though, these are just my thoughts and while I don't really care all that much for Bumblebee, I do agree that V9 is the make it break point as if they don't do anything in this volume, then it's dead.

People keep forgetting the civilians that fell before Yang. I imagine Yang would be in the beginnings of forming a base camp as a de facto leader being the only established Huntresses among civilians.
Also: the other relm could be a Narnia thing. They could be there for year's and return as the age they entered.

This next season will be a watershed moment for the series. Aside from everything happening back in Remnant, what happens in this other realm/world will be key to what's set up for Season 10, 11, or whatever the final season is slated to be.
That said, I do hope that we do get three things from this season: Ruby and Neo working out their differences and Neo realizing that she doesn't have to kill Ruby to get her revenge. Jaune and Ruby or Weiss having a moment of their own, and finally Yang and Blake confirming their feelings. It's one of the sub-plots of the series that has been building and building for far too long, and it needs to come to either a resolution, or an end. Either they do commit, or not.
Personally, I'm okay either way, but seeing as how much the fandom has invested in Bumblebee, RT and the CRWBY would be committing a massive error if they didn't address it.

Neo and Jaune, for the reason of Jaune being the character that can actually talk Neo out of her sole focus on revenge on Rubels. He seems so cool headed enough and not be a quick to fight the Ice Cream (ie. Any of team RWBY)
Blake and Weiss, for the reason of they can be the most grounded of the main team. They would be able to assess the situation and not just start blasting things, *coughs at Ruby and Yang destroying most of the Emerald forest*
And finally Ruby and Yang, honestly we need to hash out the underlying issues regarding the sisters, such as how they have been handling situations.

I believe that it could work out either way. The writers would see which ship is most popular and then decided if they feel strongly enough about it and then make their choice. But I personally hope that bumblebee won't work out and that blacksun gets a second chance. I feel that everything is far too serious right now for Blake and Yang to start a relationship right now. But with Sun, he's a lot more laid back and they'd be on Remnant giving a bit more stability to blacksun. But honestly I feel like things should go back to everyone being like sisters and taking on struggles as a family like they did up until volume 3 when romantic love wasn't as focused on.

@@AaronS4 I was just clarifying because I've been accused of being a toxic fan before. I know it sounds confusing but its happened before. Like I was alluding to a Blake and Sun friendship when someone mistakend me for one of those dudes always dunking and hating on the route the show took. I just wanted to make myself clear is all. In my honest opinion, I think the chances of either Bumblebee or Black Sun happening are 50/50 at this point. Volumes 6, 7, & 8 had some really good Bumblebee moments, but I personally saw all of those moments as platonic. Yang's concern when she and the JNPR boys were stuck in the shack I just saw as her being afraid that if she and Blake had differing viewpoints, Blake would run away again and leave her behind (Yang still has abandonment issues because of Raven, so I wouldn't it past Yang to think that). When Blake, who over the course of two years finally realized just how much Yang has done for her and been there for her as a friend, yelled out to Yang when she fell, I saw it as Blake being distraught over losing her closest friend again, only this time it wasn't because of something she did and in end she couldn't do anything to stop it. On the other hand, Blake had many moments with Sun during Volumes 4, 5, and the beginning of 6. That being said, both Bumblebee and Black Sun had a scene that hinted at the romance being a thing for me. Blake and Yang's reunion in Volume 8 (Where they rest their foreheads together), and Blake and Sun going their separate ways in Volume 6 (Where Blake gives Sun a kiss on the cheek before she leaves on the train). Personally, I'm sold more on Black Sun because of the kiss, but if Volume 9 does something to cement Bumblebee as the canon ship, I'll be all for it. After what Blake has been through in her life, she and whoever she decides to go for deserve to be happy together. Either way, Blake is going to end up with a hot blonde so regardless of what happens, I see it as an absolute win for her.

I would prefer if Blake and Sun were together.
But I know Blake and Yang being together is important to a lot of people, so I want that too.
Perfect solution? Black/Bumblebee. Love is not a finite commodity.
It also creates the possibility for some, what could be, really funny interactions with Blake trying to keep Sun and Yang from killing each other while they adjust to the idea of sharing. :)
Sunnybees is the way. A polyamorous relationship would be pretty groundbreaking

I personally see BB getting together if its brought up, because that's what the story has been building up. If anything its the "will it be brought up" that's the debatable part. I'd say yes it will cause Renora got their "big kiss" in v6 and now its BB's turn. The feelings are already canon via Nora bringing up in universe there being more to them, which no writer is going to do unless setting the stage for romance. Especially for an LGBT+ pairing that's been so thoroughly setup that nothing else comes close to being able to logically match it. I leave the timing aspect to the writers for them to "pull the trigger" when they feel it right, since I have little to no doubts about BB happening.
Also BS interactions in Vacuo are likely just going to be brotp like they were in v5, as both parties have realized that's the best dynamic for them.

I think your time scale is a little to extreme and if the magic system their familiar with is bound to remnant they may not have their semblances or even aura.
Volume 9 will probably be the atlas version of volume 4 where everyone was dealing with the fall of beacon

I don't care either way, but they do seem to be trying to cram it down our throats. But I am phobic of romance so that could just be me. Anyway, if it works it works, and if not, oh well. However, it does seem to me that they're being a bit, "Look at how inclusive we are," and not really trying to give it much substance. I was first able to pick up on it halfway through volume six and was kind of hoping against it because I still don't see why it matters. I can watch romance if it's done well, but this just doesn't seem to fit into the plot very well. It seems to me that they put it in just so they can say they did. Honestly, Blake and Yang aren't my favorite characters in the show, but, if done well, it could work. I'm still hoping they don't take it that way as there are other, more important, things to deal with, like the fate of the world, for example, but I'm expecting the opposite. Always hope, never expect. Words to live by.

*This was only meant to be the first three sentences but then turned into a rant. Sorry, haven't seen a bumblebee video in a while and got heated*
Whatever the resolution, I just want the bumblebee thing decided and ended this volume. If they don't get together maybe Blake and Yang can finally be friends with other people. If they do get together please don't spend the rest of the show constantly going back to show how in love they are every scene that they are in together.
I think bumblebee has been a detriment to the characters as a whole because of how singularly focused on each other the girls have been so I would like for them to realize their relationship has become more a obsessive desperation/insecure attachment for them to not be separated than the actual companionship they seemed to show in the first 3 volumes. Everyone knows what the grievances are surrounding this ship so I'm not going to start getting into specifics but nothing about their "love" reads as healthy to me. Shared trauma does not equate communication. Declarations to your opponent is not a conversation with your partner. Rooster Teeth actually handled trying to take a closeness formed with your friend/trauma partner and building a romantic relationship well with Ren and Nora. I doubt they can take where the bumblebee relationship currently is and actually deal with the past issues since they have been pretty clearly showing that the girls are "over" the issue of Blake abandoning Yang. Seriously, I've written a healthier relationship than this between character's that were DESIGNED for codependency. Not all relationships need to be healthy or are unable to become healthy, but the writers slapped a band aide on the broken leg that is bumblebee and act like the only relationship drama that exists anymore is "when will they finally be official?"
