I used to live in Owen Street. We moved into the flat attached to the Tipton Hearld offices. We moved there from Coseley, prior to moving to South Wales with my dad's job. Mum was involved with the Tipton Community Association. I started school at Tipton Green Infants school. Happy days.
Thank you very much I still love living in Tipton it's always great to have memories one of the best things in life thanks again for the really nice comment and thanks for watching 👍

Winnie Wallace.... Sadly Tipton's lost more than some of its lovely old buildings, it's losing its uniqueness. From it's Black country accent, industry and local personalities it becoming a dull place to live. What a shame. To spend a night frequenting one of its many, but now gone pubs was a joyful experience. But thanks for the video CJC, brought back many memories
They got rid of Tipton, when knocked the factories down and built new houses, knew everyone now you don't know them, and yes all the pubs have gone crying shame, used to go to park Lane in early 70s, loved going to Owen street in dinner time, not all up grades are good Tipton lost its soul

If you think what the council did to the shops and pubs in Owen street knocked them down to build houses they really should have replaced them with update shops very bad planning involved 👍
