    Stopped by a dealership today. The 700 is more quiet than the 1000. I’m getting older, so slow and quiet is my thing. I really liked this machine.

    Just bought a Honda Pioneer 700 deluxe today. It'll be delivered tomorrow. It does have power steering, but i can't say if it's worth it or not as i have nothing to compare it to. Reason i got the deluxe (in all honesty), is because this is the machine they had in stock. Haven't seen many in stock in my area. I was going to look for a 520, but those are like mythical unicorns.
    Anyhow, i still haven't driven it yet! Thanks for posting these videos. You're doing a great job and us folks woth no experience are getting to know all the add-ons and upgrades because of your channel! Thanks!

    Just bought my folks 2020 model. Fully enclosed with heat. They bought a new machine. The 700 is a reliable machine. If someone asks what’s the top speed and how much power, it’s not the machine for them. It’s not a race car. It’s a utility machine and also very capable trail machine. It’s perfect for what it is and priced accordingly .

    Great video my uncle just one a 700plus 4 at a cal deer association dinner we took it out for memorial weekend there were a few things I liked and didn’t like it. I was really surprised at the lack of power it seemed to have we just for fun raced against my 2008 Yamaha rhino 700 and the rhino would out pull it every time and got quite a bit better fuel mileage. I understand the shaft driven vs belt but I have over 3000 miles on my rhino on the original belt. Thanks for all the good content

    By the way. I completely agree with you when you talk of 1000 cc machines with high horsepower. Completely unneccsasary. In the tight woods where I ride they have no advantage. Only in the fields or on dirt roads do they have the big advantage. Actually in order to follow me in the woods they have to get the chain saws out

    You sound like me when I give those who ask for advice on buying an ATV or UTV.
    Based on hours of research, my 1st ATV was a 1993 Suzuki King-Quad (300cc) that served me well for 14 years hunting, recreation, and snow plowing. Sold it for $700 and the 2nd owner was happy w/it.
    The 2nd was as 2007 King-Quad 700cc that I still use for snow-plowing today. Scheduled maintenance + Suzuki = LONGEVITY.
    I wanted a utility side-by-side and arrived at your same conclusion: I bought a new 2021 Honda Pioneer 700 basic for $11,000 - no need for power steering.
    If speed and 5-forward gears is needed, go with the Talon. The Pioneer 1000 is a nice package, but not very practical considering the extra cost and very little added capability. The only thing the Pioneer 700 is lacking is a LOW RANGE gear, but that requirement rarely comes up.

    I've never driven a Honda pioneer 1000 or 700 in the woods, only in a field. Where I live in the thick woods of New York State the p520 is the better choice. You mentioned the specs, particularly the size. Trust me if you will not be able to follow me in the woods and that is where I ride. If I lived out west I would own a 700 or 1000.

    I don't own a sxs but mabey one day and it would be the 700 Honda i love that sxs , In 2020 i had to upgrade because of back issues and after trying them all i went to 2 new Yamaha Grizzly's ive owned several Hondas and sold my Rubicon with the solid rear axel loved the machine but the ride was killing me , But honestly ive always been a Honda guy but ive owned all the japanese brands of atv's , In my opinion the Grizzly is the best machine in every way i have a couple buddy's that never grew up that have Grizzly's and run the shit out of them and neither one has ever changed belts when i was talking about upgrading i asked them how hard it was to change the belt and they said they have never changed the belts that maid my mind up about belts and the Grizzly also i think the Yamaha's transmission is just bulletproof ive never heard of any failures . But i did like the new Rubicon and the ride was nice and was considering buying one till i tested a new Grizzly the ride is just so much nicer , also i didnt like in the new Rubicon the trans shifting on its own when in the manual mode in different situations i also liked the Suzuki K Quad i would of been happy with either one if they didn't make the Grizzly LoL !!!

    Here's the difference between your 700 and a 1000. I may not need to exceed 45 mph, however I can run at 25- 30 mph with my 1000 and put much less stress on the buggy. I can carry more, tow more and go further on a tank of fuel. There are reasons a 1000 is a good choice for many.

    • @ArizonaKid
      @ArizonaKid  ปีที่แล้ว +5

      Bed weight is same ?? And tow weight is 1000 lbs difference which would only make difference to someone pulling with it ? Which no one does but maybe a farmer ? And then they wouldn’t use it anyways , I know cuz I’m a ex farmer. . Stress on engine ? Only would matter if machine full to capacity? And as for fuel ?? No ratings on that . But nothing wrong with 1000 and if u like yours then that’s all that matters . Lot of guys like big trucks and big engines they never use to just have the big power. . It’s your money Ann what u wannna do . But most people wanna save money and get something that works . They don’t need the extra power they will never use

    • @bryanduke2144
      @bryanduke2144 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@ArizonaKid I can carry 5 comfortably. I live on a farm and tow with my 1000-5 often. I can maintain 30 mph at around 3,100*-3,300 rpm. That RPM range is much lower than what you'll find on the 700 at that speed. The thing to remember about wear on an engine is that every rotation counts. They add up regardless of the strain on the engine. The strain on the engine due to high rpm's or high loads, just magnifies the wear on the engine. As an example, I belong to a few Pioneer groups. There are more than a few that have photos of the instrument cluster showing 70,000+ miles on the 1000. I'm not saying the 700 couldn't, or hasn't made it to that point, but I haven't seen it. But like you said, it's your buck, so if you like it, then you made a good choice.
