I’ve been thinking about ( and talking my wife into) getting a UTV for the farm and family. I have recently been to some events where all of my friends had UTVs and I was kind of left out. Besides fun I have to consider would it truly be useful on the farm ? I have a nice truck , and a farm truck. I also have a small hydro fel tractor ( JD2038R ) and a big farm tractor ( JD 4440 ) , as well as bush hogs , hay equipment and 5 older horses. I’m thinking about getting some cattle . We have about 72 acres of land , 50 open . What do you think about the usefulness and expense of a 700-4 on my little farm?
Won’t regret it, know many farmers with a lot of tractors and once they get a pioneer they do more and more with it and less and less with their tractors becomes those major task. Will find more ways to use it then you think and endless accessories
Is the lack of power steering on this an issue compared to the deluxe model? Issue may not be the right word, but is the power steering really worth the extra cost?
Yes very nice! You don’t loose your bed and just have seats like other options however they do have a bit nicer seater arrangement but they are built purely for that and don’t leave much room for work.

It’s not need or desired unless you do a LOT of riding or older and need the assistance
