    Brian, I know for a product to get a 9 out of 10 score from you it has to be really good. Also, that score is seldom achieved. I suggest maybe a video on those elite products that have been worthy enough to get there? Keep up the great work!!

    Your videos have been huge help to me starting out doing some paint correction on my own. I do have a few questions.
    How do you remove scratches off taillights? What kind of compounds would you use? Do you still recommend Wizards Mystic Cut or is 3D one overall better if the paint is soft and for use on tailights?
    For soft paints (2023 Nitro Yellow Supra if it is soft) what do you add after the polishing step? Sealant?
    What about removing water spots on glass? At what point would you use a compound and what cut?
    Do you have any magic solutions scratches on carbon fiber and/or the piano black pieces?
    I know it's a lot of questions so thank you very much for your time.

    • @apexdetail85
      @apexdetail85  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Plastic polishes are fine for tail lights. 3M has a few. Any compound from 3D will do. Wizards is a good choice as well. For soft paint Phoenix EOD Fab Finish. my BC2 as a sealant. apexsurfaceprotection.store/

    Brian a found a real gem in this category. Was wondering if you could do your thing with it. It’s called Technicians Choice 3 in 1 surface clarifier. It claims to removed brake dust & iron deposits. It doesn’t do well in that category but where it really really shines is as a mineral deposit remover, coating unclogging, water spot remover. It can be diluted 2:1 so you get 3 gallons of chemical for roughly $35. Fingers crossed that you can review it thanks

    I have water spots on my car that has clearly etched into the clearcoat, because using Gyeon Water did not really do much to resolve it.
    Or it could mean that I have to resort to cutting and polishing with a machine.
    If so, what compound and pad do you recommend to use for removing hard water spots? And what type of car shampoo do I have to use beforehand?

    Hello Brian, tried water spot chemicals including gyeon water spot remover to no avail. Black Mercedes left outside in rain, no sprinkler system only rain water. Unfortunately I was out of town and the rain water baked the water beads now I have lots of water spots. My question is after polishing to remove the spots what paint protection will stop rain water from leaving water spots ? Thank you for your advice. Didn’t think rain water would cause such a huge issue on the gyeon coating. Bummer!

    The effectiveness of a water spot remover will be influenced by the level of contaminants in the water. Spots left by 400 ppm water are likely to be more difficult to remove than those left by 200 ppm water - all other things being equal.

      I've done this with like 90% success. Polished a few cars. Some of the spots will just not come out unless you wet sand the paint a bit. Even when they don't come out they are very well minimized so you can barely see them. First always use a chemical like this before you polish or sand
