Could have been a great mid-show song a là Trying to Throw your Arms around the World if they persisted with rehearsals and Bono stuck to the higher register
why not? album had just come out and this one was probably the easiest new song to add to the set with little rehearsal. was a dud though and dropped after 5 performances. at least they left more new stuff to the next leg when they could do them justice although they should have persevered with the title track during that tour, only got tried 3 times.
Never heard live version of this song, thank you so much!
No surprised, its rough as fuck
Me neither 😀

This wasn't in any of the shows at Wembley. I stood outside and this was during the soundcheck.

then afterwards Bono asked the audience if the new songs are ok?
Playing totally out of step with the sequenced backing… a Larry Mullen signature move :)
Yeah juste like the opening of Glastonbury on even better than the Real thing i supposing he is ont hearing the backing track
Zooropa is a good album but just think of all the songs in U2's catalogue and they play "this"?

I think it's probably a pre-show rehearsal mic check,etc...
Shit
you can see why they dropped this from the set
